Watson (foot) was in the starting lineup during Friday's win over the Boston Celtics, finishing with 15 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, and a steal in 32 minutes.
Watson came into this game questionable with a foot injury, but it's not surprising he was able to play a full minutes load considering he played in Wednesday's game against the Warriors without any problems. As long as George Hill (groin) stays sidelined with his injury, Watson will most likely see more minutes than his 26.7 minutes per game average he's had up until this point in the season. As soon as Hill returns, he'll probably play more in the mid-twenties in minutes and return to a bench role. He's averaging 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
Fri Jan 9 201517:19Watson (foot) will play against Celtics on Friday
Watson (foot) will play against the Celtics on Friday.
Watson has been listed as questionable into his last two games but has continued on to play. He managed to play 28 minutes the first time around against the Warriors with this particular foot injury and that seems like a another logical possibility Friday, especially when considering that he averages 26.4 minutes per game on the season as a whole.
Thu Jan 8 201522:02Watson questionable for Friday's game against Celtics
Watson is questionable for Friday's game against the Celtics.
Watson played Wednesday against the Warriors despite being a game-time call, so it seems likely he will be good to go again Friday. With George Hill already ruled out for the game, Watson would be in line for a good amount of minutes again Friday, with Donald Sloan and possibly Rodney Stuckey (groin) figuring into the rotation at the point.

Watson (foot) will play Wednesday against the Warriors.
Watson fully expected to take the court after participating in morning shootaround, and this announcement confirms that notion. He'll see as many minutes as he can handle with both George Hill (foot) and Rodney Stuckey (groin) on the shelf.
Wed Jan 7 201514:06Watson (foot) considered game-time decision for Wednesday's game
Watson (foot) is considered a game-time decision for Wednesday's game.
Watson has a sore left foot, which appears to be nothing serious, but it could keep him out of action Wednesday. If that's the case, Donald Sloan would likely fill in as the starting point guard with George Hill (groin) already ruled out.

Watson had nine points to go with one block and one steal in 27 minutes Monday after missing the previous two games with a foot injury.
Donald Sloan, who started in Watson's absence, logged 22 minutes Monday, but only mustered five points. It seems as though Watson and Sloan will split time as long as George Hill is out.

Watson (foot) will not be available for Sunday's game against the Lakers, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Watson is still dealing with soreness in his left foot and should be considered another game-time decision ahead of Monday's contest against the Jazz. In his absence, Donald Sloan will likely continue to see significant time on the court.
Fri Jan 2 201518:49Watson (foot) ruled out for Friday's game
Watson (foot) has been ruled out for Friday's game, the Indianapolis Star's Candace Buckner reports.
He is dealing with a sore left foot, and this should allow Donald Sloan and Rodney Stuckey to dominate the ball in the Pacers' backcourt Friday, as George Hill is also out. Consider Watson day-to-day.
Fri Jan 2 201512:08Watson questionable for Friday's game against Bucks due to soren...
Watson is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks due to soreness in his left foot, Jeremiah Johnson of FOX Sports Indiana reports.
George Hill (groin) has been ruled out, so Watson will likely get the start, if he is able to play. In the event that both point guards sit, Donald Sloan will likely get the start, with Rodney Stuckey possibly taking on added ball-handling duties. Watson missed the first few weeks of the season with an injury in his other foot.

Watson had a very full line Saturday, scoring 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt) with nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in 30 minutes.
Watson has been productive filling in for George Hill, but now that Hll has assumed his spot his spot in the starting lineup, these sort of nights for Watson will decrease in frequency. As Hill's minutes go up, expect a corresponding decrease in Watson's, but he still may have one or two more solid games in while Hill regains full fitness.

Watson (illness) returned to the starting lineup Sunday after missing a game, only to score just seven points (3-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt) in 29 minutes.
This was just Watson's 12th game of the season, so it's certainly possible he's still working some things out, considering he missed the first month of the season with a foot injury. This month, Watson is shooting just 41 percent, and is probably only worth using in deeper leagues for now, especially with a George Hill return inevitable.

Watson (illness) will return and start Sunday against the Timberwolves, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports.
An illness kept Watson out of action Saturday in Denver, but he's feeling better and will get the start at point guard Sunday evening. The veteran has seen increased minutes in the absence of George Hill (quad), averaging11.9 points and 4.6 assists in nearly 27 minutes per game in the month of December. He's currently riding a streak of four straight double-digit scoring games.
Sat Dec 20 201419:59Watson (illness) ruled out for Saturday's game against Nuggets
Watson (illness) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nuggets.
The Pacers initially listed Watson as probable for Saturday's tilt, but they downgraded him to questionable Saturday afternoon and ruled him out about a half hour before tipoff. Donald Sloan and Rodney Stuckey will be left to split the workload at point guard.
Sat Dec 20 201414:03Watson (illness) downgraded to questionable for Saturday's game
Watson (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Saturday's game.
He is still dealing with a sinus infection, so his status will likely come down to how he gets through pregame warmups. If he does not play, look for Donald Sloan and Rodney Stuckey to be the primary ball-handlers for Indiana.

Watson is dealing with a sinus infection but is probable to play in Saturday's game against the Nuggets, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Watson reportedly felt sick during Wednesday's game against the Clippers, and he practiced in his sweats Friday. The shootaround session Saturday could shed a little more light on his availability, though it appears he is leaning towards playing.

Watson (Illness) scored 12 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and added four assists in 29 minutes of action against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
Watson is averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 assists and 1.5 3Pt per game over his last four games. He has been decent for owners who have snagged him while George Hill (quad) remains out. George Hill will return shortly, but this team has a lineup as fluid as a glass of water. Without Paul George, the Pacers have been miserable and searching for a scoring boost. If Watson maintains 15.0 points per game, he will certainly find a place in the lineup.

Watson (illness) will start at point guard Wednesday night against the Clippers, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Watson was tagged with a questionable status after missing Wednesday morning's shootaround, as he was dealing with the symptoms of a sinus infection. He appears to be feeling better, however, so look for him to draw the start alongside Rodney Stuckey in the Pacers' backcourt. If Watson's symptoms return prior to tipoff, Donald Sloan would be the most likely candidate for additional run.

Watson (illness) did not participate in Wednesday's shootaround and is considered questionable to play versus the Clippers, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Watson came down with a sinus infection and is essentially a game-time decision at this point. Look for an update in advance of Wednesday's 10:30 PM ET tip. If he's ruled out, Donald Sloan likely moves into the starting lineup at point guard.

Watson scored 23 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and he added one rebound and five assists in 33 minutes of action agains the Blazers.
Watson has increased his fantasy stock in each of his last three games and now that he is getting the starting job he is producing. It is safe to play Watson in the short term while this team shuffles the lineup until George Hill returns, but that won't be for a few more weeks.
Fri Dec 12 201422:49Watson scored 13 points (5-14 FG, 2-5 3P, 1-1 FT) with four assi...
Watson scored 13 points (5-14 FG, 2-5 3P, 1-1 FT) with four assists, three rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes during Friday's loss to the Raptors.
The point guard figures to get a good run as a starter while the Pacers wait for George Hill (quad) to return to action, so Watson is worth consideration if you're in need of some back court depth.
