Fri Oct 9 201518:42Temple sitting out Friday's preseason game against Knicks
Temple is sitting out Friday's preseason game against the Knicks, J. Michael of CSN reports.
Temple is likely being held out as a precaution, though it's worth noting that he dealt with hamstring issues late in the 2014-15 campaign. At this point, it's unclear how much time he could miss, but until the team issues a report, consider the veteran day-to-day.
Mon Jun 15 201515:23Temple exercised player option for 2015-16 season
Temple exercised his player option for the 2015-16 season, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Temple served as the replacement in the starting five when Bradley Beal was afflicted by injury but otherwise garnered little run in the backcourt rotation. In 18 starts last season, Temple averaged 7.2 points (on 37 percent shooting), 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers in 26 minutes. However, he merely made 34 appearances the rest of the campaign, which signifies his role with the Wizards.

Temple posted averages of 3.9 points (40% FG, 38% 3Pt, 73% FT), 1.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks in 14 minutes per game during52 regular season games in 2014-15.
The 29-year-old appeared in only four playoff games, putting up 1.8 points (17% FG, 0% 3Pt, 63% FT), 0.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and 0.5 steals in seven minutes per game. Following the Wizards' elimination, Temple said he's pretty sure he'll opt into his $1.1 million player option in 2015-16. Still, Ramon Sessions seemed to have a firm hold on the primary backup role, presumably leaving little time for Temple.

Temple (hamstring) was available for Game 1 against the Hawks, but ultimately was a DNP-CD.
Temple hasn't logged a game since Mar. 9, and it doesn't appear like he'll be a huge part of the Wizards rotation even when he returns. In spite of the news of John Wall's recent injury, Ramon Sessions is a more likely candidate to fill the bulk of the minutes at the point guard spot.
Sun May 3 201512:23Garrett Temple: (Hamstring) Available Sunday
Temple (hamstring) will be available for Game 1 against the Hawks on Sunday.
Temple hasn't played since Mar. 9 so it would be somewhat surprising if he played a large role off the bench Sunday. That said, he averaged 19.5 minutes over his last ten games and may ultimately have a spot in the rotation after a few successful games if doesn't aggravate his hamstring injury. Over time his presence on the court would likely take minutes away from Ramon Sessions.
Fri May 1 201514:29Garrett Temple: (Hamstring) Back At Practice
Temple (hamstring) took part in Friday's practice, J. Michael of CSN reports.
Temple hasn't played in nearly two months, as he's slowly progressed in his recovery form a strained hamstring. This is the first we're hearing of his return to practice, which is certainly a positive sign for Washington, which hopes to have Temple back at some point in Round 2. Currently, it's unclear whether he'll be ready as early as Game 1, but assuming he doesn't suffer a setback it seems likely he'll be back on the court at some point in the series.

Temple (hamstring) continues to progress and expects to be ready to play at some point in Round 2, J. Michael of CSN reports.
Temple hasn't played since early March, and he's still limited to individual drills as he works back from a strained hamstring. It's unclear if he'll be ready for Game 1 of the Wizards' second-round matchup, but the expectation is that he'll be available off the bench at some point in the series.

Temple (hamstring) will not play in Game 4 on Sunday against the Raptors.
Temple has been out for a couple months now and it's unlikely he'll rejoin the team soon. However, the Wizards have a convincing 3-0 series lead heading into Sunday so Temple may be able to play again this season if his teammates are able to elongate their playoff campaign.

Temple (hamstring) will not play in Friday's Game 3 against the Raptors.
Temple hasn't played since Mar. 9 and isn't expected to rejoin the Wizards in the near future. With just 52 games played in during the regular season, the former LSU standout might not even get an opportunity to play in the postseason even if he returns to health.
Thu Apr 23 201514:40Temple (hamstring) yet to go through full practice
Temple (hamstring) is yet to go through a full practice, CSN's J. Michael reports.
Temple hasn't played since early March, and the Wizards haven't put forth a firm return timeline. Considering he hasn't been able to practice, it seems unlikely he returns before the end of this first round series, which continues Friday from Washington, D.C.
