Wed May 11 202200:45Giancarlo Stanton Hits Three-Run Home Run Tuesday
New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4 with a single and a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays. The sixth-inning, opposite-field shot just cleared the right-field wall for Stanton's seventh HR of the season. The veteran hasn't provided quite as much power as fantasy managers were hoping for to this point, slashing .259/.291/.463 with 22 RBI in his first 117 plate appearances. That being said, he hasn't done poorly and benefits from hitting in a strong lineup. Fantasy managers should continue to keep him in their lineups with the hopes that his power swing will fully come around sooner rather than later.

Wed May 4 202200:45Giancarlo Stanton Hits Two-Run Homer Tuesday
New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, and two strikeouts in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Blue Jays. Stanton put a finishing touch on the game by crushing a ninth-inning breaking ball into the center-field seats. The 32-year-old has gotten off to a decent start to the season, slashing .256/.289/.433 with five HR and 16 RBI over 97 plate appearances. The power hasn't quite been there yet for Stanton, but he is still hitting the ball harder than almost all hitters, so fantasy managers should be patient.

Fri Apr 29 202208:57Giancarlo Stanton Tallies Five RBI In Orioles Series
New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton helped the team complete a three-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles to start the week. He went 5-for-11 at the plate in the series, compiling one home run, one walk and five RBI. The 32-year-old slugger is now slashing .243/.257/.386 with three home runs, 13 RBI and four runs over 18 games on the year. His 96.7 mph average exit velocity and 118.8 mph max exit velocity both lead the majors and he has a 99th percentile barrel rate (23.4%). Despite those gaudy power metrics, his HR/FB rate is currently sitting at 20%, down from his career 26.6% clip. That suggests that Stanton has had some bad home run luck so far and that we are likely to see an uptick in bombs from him in the coming weeks.

This will be Stanton's first day off of the year. Through five games this season, Stanton has gone 5-for-20 with two home runs, five RBI and two runs scored. He'll be back in the lineup for the series finale against the Jays on Thursday.

Sat Apr 2 202222:46Giancarlo Stanton Walks Twice On Saturday
New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton went 0-for-1 with two walks and a strikeout in a 10-0 win over the Atlanta Braves in Grapefruit League action on Saturday. Stanton enjoyed a relatively healthy season in 2021 and finished with 35 homers in 139 games played. The veteran slugger possesses huge power upside in his bat, although he appeared in just 41 total games combined from 2019 to 2020. Stanton's bat offsets his injury risk and he is worth considering as a top-24 fantasy outfielder in 2022.

Stanton is in a different kind of zone at the plate right now, as he's riding a six-game hitting streak with four straight multi-hit contests, including 15 RBI in that span. The man is an impossible out right now and is likely carrying fantasy teams to the promised land.

Stanton will get a favorable matchup on Saturday against Red Sox pitcher Nick Pivetta. Pivetta has surrendered a homer in three of his last four starts.

Wed Sep 22 202110:39Giancarlo Stanton Goes Yard In Tuesday's Win
New York Yankees designated hitter/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton clobbered his 31st homer of the season in Tuesday's win over the Rangers. Stanton got every bit of his home run ball, giving it a 415-foot ride into the seats at 118.5 MPH. The 31-year-old has been a strong hitter this season, as he has slashed .268/.351/.499 with 31 homers, 83 RBI, and 58 runs scored. Arguably even more impressive than his numbers is that he has managed to stay healthy despite making 24 starts in the outfield. With three home runs in the last week, Stanton is an excellent DFS choice Wednesday against Rangers lefty Taylor Hearn, who has allowed 1.63 home runs per nine innings this season.

Stanton has been a steady, four-category producer for fantasy managers this year, as well as a great value at his ADP.

Mon Sep 13 202112:42Giancarlo Stanton Riding Five-Game Hitting Streak
New York Yankees designated hitter/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is heating up again after a slump to start September. Stanton currently owns a five-game hitting streak, during which he's batting .381 with a home run, a double, three RBI, and one run scored. The slugger will take on right-hander John Gant, who has been a much better pitcher since joining the Twins at the trade deadline. Still, Gant allows a fair amount of contact and isn't a pitcher to fear at the moment. Redraft and DFS managers can fire up Stanton with confidence for Monday's matinee.

Fri Sep 10 202118:47Giancarlo Stanton Not In Friday's Lineup

Stanton has appeared in 113 games this season, and 96 of those games have come as New York's designated hitter. It's his ninth homer of August and the fifth time he's left the years in the last seven contests, as he is one of the hottest hitters on the planet at the moment. The slugger matches up well with Tuesday's projected Angels starter, Jaime Barria, who has pitched to a 5.56 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in 34 innings pitched this season.

The slugger is red hot, having gone 8-for-23 with four homers, two doubles, and eight RBI over his last seven games played. Mon Aug 23 202123:49Giancarlo Stanton Homers, Drives In Three Monday
New York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and three RBI in Monday's 5-1 win over the Braves. Stanton supplied much of the Yankee offense against Atlanta, swatting a solo shot to put the team on the board in the first inning, then later muscling a 119.2 MPH, two-run double off of Braves starter Huascar Ynoa to break a 1-1 tie. After a quiet July, Stanton has come alive in August, totaling five homers, 18 RBI, and 14 runs scored with an OPS north of .950. Hitting in the middle of a suddenly-potent Yankee lineup, Stanton seems to be peaking at the right time for fantasy managers.

New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton hit his 20th homer of the season Thursday. He went 1-for-4 against the Minnesota Twins while batting fifth and playing right field. Stanton now has a nine-game hit streak with a single hit in each of those contests. He's been very strong this season, with an .825 OPS, 45 runs, and 59 RBI in 365 at-bats. As long as he stays healthy, he should provide excellent fantasy production in a potent Yankee lineup.

Tue Aug 17 202123:36Giancarlo Stanton Smashes 19th Homer
New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 1-for-3 with a solo homer during a 2-0 win over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. Stanton connected off of Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi for his 19th HR during the fourth inning. The 31-year-old is hitting .308 during August but is lacking in the power department with only two homers and 11 RBI in 52 at-bats. Stanton patrolled right field during the second game of a doubleheader, giving him eight appearances in the outfield this season. The roster crunch for the Yankees might force the 2017 National League MVP into more playing time in the outfield as opposed to being strictly a DH, potentially giving fantasy managers a little more flexibility with the slugger as he earns OF eligibility.

Stanton is also boasting a career-best 56.1% hard-hit rate and is capable of becoming one of the most feared hitters in baseball when locked in.
