NEW YORK -- New York Mets left fielder Yoenis Cespedes exited Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves in the fourth inning after aggravating a left hamstring injury while rounding first base on a double.Cespedes laced an R.A. Dickey offering to deep center but hopped in pain about one-third of the way between first and second base. He was able to hobble into second base before crouching down in pain.Manager Terry Collins and trainer Ray Ramirez immediately came out to tend to Cespedes, who walked slowly off the field. Upon reaching the first-base line, Cespedes put his left arm around the shoulder of first base coach Tom Goodwin and relied on Goodwin and Ramirez to help him into the dugout.The Mets announced a few minutes later that Cespedes had sustained a left hamstring pull. It is the second hamstring injury in a week for Cespedes, who said he felt a "shock" in his hamstring while running to second base against the Philadelphia Phillies last Thursday.Cespedes missed the weekend series against the Washington Nationals and returned to the lineup Wednesday, following an off day on Monday and a rainout Tuesday.Since Cespedes was acquired on July 31, 2015, the Mets are 114-82 when he is in the lineup and 18-27 when he is not.

Dickey is returning to the Senior Circuit after agreeing to a one-year contract with the Atlanta Braves on Thursday.Financial terms were not disclosed for the 42-year-old knuckleballer, but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the deal includes a team option for 2018.Dickey recorded a 10-15 mark with a 4.46 ERA in 30 appearances last season with the Toronto Blue Jays. The right-hander has logged at least 200 innings in each of the past five campaigns.Dickey is no stranger to the NL East, having won the 2012 Cy Young Award while posting a 20-6 mark and 2.73 ERA in his third and final season with the New York Mets.He joined Toronto shortly thereafter and spent four seasons with the club. Dickey owns a 110-108 and 4.01 ERA during his career with the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, Mets and Blue Jays.Dickey joins an Atlanta staff that features Julio Teheran and Mike Foltynewicz and newly acquired Josh Collmenter. The Braves (68-93) finished in the basement of the NL East last season.

He has allowed one earned run in two of his past three starts, and he held to Yankees to 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position. "I felt as strong as I have ever felt with the ball in my hand," Dickey said. "The last three or four months felt like I've always been just a click away from turning out really good outings. It was unfortunate tonight that I gave up the run."
