Anderson has been playing very well for the last two weeks, but his shot left him over the last two games (5-of-23), and his playing time is about to take a big hit.

Alan Anderson is starting for the Raptors on Wednesday after the Rudy Gay trade (not yet official), but he'll likely have a bench role once Gay joins the team.

Landry Fields started, but had just four points, five boards and three assists. Anderson is on fire right now, averaging 16.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 3-pointers over his last five games, and is clearly a better fantasy option than Fields, despite coming off the pine.

Alan Anderson played 28 minutes in Thursday's 97-95 win over the Magic, scoring 13 points with four rebounds and three assists.

He played the last 15 minutes of the game, which is nothing new for him since he's been a mainstay down the stretch for coach Dwane Casey. Anderson missed all four of his 3-point attempts and it was the first time in five games in which he failed to hit multiple treys. He's logging consistent minutes and getting enough shots to be owned in standard leagues.

He took a whopping 12 3-point attempts in the game, which accounted for 39 percent of the team's attempts. Anderson has taken a boatload of threes this month and he has logged 33.3 minutes per game in his last four games, so he should be owned in all standard leagues.

He took seven attempts from downtown and has now attempted 21 from far away in his last three games. Anderson has also attempted an average of 16.0 shots in that span and he's played in at least 25 minutes in his last eight games -- excluding Tuesday's game in which he chipped his tooth. He's worth owning in most standard formats.

He's coming off a 35-minute, 27-point explosion on Wednesday and Friday's game was the fifth time in his last eight games in which he scored at least 16 points. Anderson has taken over six attempts from beyond the arc in that span and looks to be worth a look for owners in standard leagues that need triples.
