Sun Mar 17 201316:08Alan Anderson scoreless off TOR bench
Alan Anderson missed all six of his shots in a scoreless bench effort on Sunday.
Anderson occasionally scores 15+ points and raises some eyebrows, but he's equally prone to cold spells (averaging 3.3 points in his past three games, for instance). He grabbed one rebound and had one steal in 14 minutes.

Sun Mar 10 201321:06Alan Anderson leads Raptors w/ 18 points
Alan Anderson hit 6-of-11 field goals with three 3-pointers in Sunday's victory, scoring a team-high 18 points off the bench.
Anderson is playing well in March, averaging 14.8 points and 1.8 triples in six games. He won't contribute much else, though, and his 38 percent shooting is a testament to his streakiness.

Sat Mar 9 201304:19Anderson scores 17 points off the bench
Alan Anderson scored 17 points off the bench on Friday against the Lakers, hitting 6-of-14 shots (including two threes) with five rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes.
Anderson makes noise one night and disappears the next, and is not producing enough to be worth consideration in normal sized formats.

Thu Mar 7 201301:06Anderson, Ross each score 10 for Raps
Alan Anderson had 10 points and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes off the Raptors bench, and Terrence Ross also scored 10 with two 3-pointers in 21 minutes.
The Raptors embarrassed the Suns tonight and there was plenty of garbage time to go around for the Raptors, on a night when Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry didn't do much. Keep an eye on Anderson and Ross, but don't expect them to be consistent going forward. Anderson has been playing well in spurts this season and had 21 points on Saturday, but has been too inconsistent to rely upon.

Sat Mar 2 201323:58Alan Anderson scores 21 points off bench
Alan Anderson scored 21 points off the bench vs. Milwaukee, going 1-of-8 from downtown in 29 minutes of action.
He finished 8-of-20 from the field and his 37.4 percent shooting this season proves that he's anything but a marksman. Rudy Gay's absence with back spasms opened up extra minutes tonight, and Anderson should be viewed as a 3-point specialist with mild upside for points and steals.

Wed Feb 27 201322:15Alan Anderson disappears in loss
Alan Anderson played just 14 minutes and made 2-of-5 shots for four points on Wednesday.
He had shown signs of getting ready to break out, but instead ended up sinking further into a spot on the Toronto bench, which scored a total of eight points tonight. There's no reason to own him right now, but given Andrea Bargnani's constant struggles, Anderson will be worth keeping an eye on going forward.

Wed Feb 20 201322:57Alan Anderson scores 19 in 19 minutes
Alan Anderson played just 19 minutes on Wednesday, but hit 6-of-7 shots and four 3-pointers for 19 points, two rebounds and nothing else.
Anderson is a guy to keep a close eye on, as the Raptors really need his 3-point shooting prowess right now. He was 1-of-9 for five points in his previous game, but had 26 points and six 3-pointers in the one prior to that, and scored 10 and 11 points in the two before that one. He's hit 14 3-pointers in his last five games and could be in line for more minutes going forward, especially if DeMar DeRozan begins to struggle. DD hit just 1-of-9 shots tonight, and his lack of 3-point shooting is a thorn in Toronto's side.

Tue Feb 19 201322:25Alan Anderson disappears against Wizards
Alan Anderson hit just 1-of-9 shots (a 3-pointer) for five points and five rebounds on Tuesday.
He went off in his last game before the All-Star break with 26 points and six 3-pointers, but couldn't get it going tonight. He's still not a must-own player, but should be on the fantasy radar of all owners.

Wed Feb 13 201323:24Alan Anderson blows up for 26 points
Alan Anderson hit 10-of-16 shots and a career-high six 3-pointers on his way to 26 points and three assists in 30 minutes off the Raptors' bench on Wednesday.
After failing to score more than five points in a four-game stretch, he's gone for 11, 10 and 26 in his last three, but played just 13 minutes in his previous game. He's worth keeping an eye on in case he earned more run with tonight's performance, but we'll need to see him do this a few more times before declaring him a must-own player.

Fri Feb 1 201323:36Anderson hits rock bottom quickly vs. LAC
Alan Anderson hit rock-bottom quickly after the Rudy Gay trade, going hitless on four shot attempts to finish with zero points, one rebound, three assists, and a steal in 13 minutes.
We were pretty sure that his value was going to take a hit but this exceeded our expectations and fast. Feel free to drop him for a hot free agent.

Thu Jan 31 201300:07Alan Anderson struggles with shot again
Alan Anderson hit just 3-of-12 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal in 35 minutes in a start at small forward.
DeMar DeRozan started at shooting guard tonight, so the writing is on the wall. Rudy Gay will start at small forward when he joins the Raptors and Anderson will back up both DeRozan and Gay, meaning his value is soon to be crushed. Anderson has been playing very well for the last two weeks, but his shot left him over the last two games (5-of-23), and his playing time is about to take a big hit.

Wed Jan 30 201319:34Alan Anderson takes hit in Rudy Gay trade
Alan Anderson is starting for the Raptors on Wednesday after the Rudy Gay trade (not yet official), but he'll likely have a bench role once Gay joins the team.
We expect DeMar DeRozan to start at shooting guard, with Gay at small forward, and the Raptors also have Landry Fields and Terrence Ross to find minutes for. This deal is not a good one for Anderson, but until we see how things shake out, he's worth holding for now if you own him.

Sat Jan 26 201322:30Alan Anderson scores 17 off Raps bench
Alan Anderson had 17 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals on 7-of-14 shooting off the Raptors bench on Saturday.
Landry Fields started, but had just four points, five boards and three assists. Anderson is on fire right now, averaging 16.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 3-pointers over his last five games, and is clearly a better fantasy option than Fields, despite coming off the pine.

Thu Jan 24 201322:13Alan Anderson scores 13 points on Thursday
Alan Anderson played 28 minutes in Thursday's 97-95 win over the Magic, scoring 13 points with four rebounds and three assists.
He played the last 15 minutes of the game, which is nothing new for him since he's been a mainstay down the stretch for coach Dwane Casey. Anderson missed all four of his 3-point attempts and it was the first time in five games in which he failed to hit multiple treys. He's logging consistent minutes and getting enough shots to be owned in standard leagues.

Wed Jan 23 201323:06Alan Anderson scores 20 points on Wednesday
Alan Anderson scored a team-high 20 points against the Heat on Wednesday with one rebound, two assists and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
He took a whopping 12 3-point attempts in the game, which accounted for 39 percent of the team's attempts. Anderson has taken a boatload of threes this month and he has logged 33.3 minutes per game in his last four games, so he should be owned in all standard leagues.

Sun Jan 20 201316:34Alan Anderson scores 14 points Sunday
Alan Anderson handed out a career-high eight assists to go with 14 points, two rebounds, three steals and three 3-pointers in Sunday's 108-103 win over the Lakers.
He took seven attempts from downtown and has now attempted 21 from far away in his last three games. Anderson has also attempted an average of 16.0 shots in that span and he's played in at least 25 minutes in his last eight games -- excluding Tuesday's game in which he chipped his tooth. He's worth owning in most standard formats.

Fri Jan 18 201322:17Alan Anderson keeps it going with 18 points
Alan Anderson made two 3-pointers in Friday's loss to the Sixers, adding 18 points, five boards, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes.
He's coming off a 35-minute, 27-point explosion on Wednesday and Friday's game was the fifth time in his last eight games in which he scored at least 16 points. Anderson has taken over six attempts from beyond the arc in that span and looks to be worth a look for owners in standard leagues that need triples.

Wed Jan 16 201322:46Alan Anderson goes nuts with 27 points
Alan Anderson tied his career high with 27 points off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 10-of-18 shots and four 3-pointers, and added five rebounds in 35 minutes.
He rendered Landry Fields useless tonight, but had scored a total of seven points in his previous two games. He probably earned more playing time with tonight's performance, but we expect Fields and his big contract to continue to hold down the starting job. And that means that Anderson will probably continue to be hit-and-miss going forward.

Wed Jan 16 201318:01Alan Anderson will play Wednesday night
Alan Anderson will play Wednesday despite chipping his tooth in Tuesday's game.
Anderson's fantasy value is limited by the fact that Landry Fields seems to have a tight grip on the starting SG job. Still, he's worth a look for owners looking to add 3-pointers.
