Tue Jan 15 201321:13Alan Anderson chips tooth Monday
Alan Anderson chipped his tooth in Monday's game and is getting it fixed.
There is no word on hi status and we'd consider him questionable to return. He's off to a slow start and Landry Fields should pick up a handful of more minutes with Anderson out.

Fri Jan 11 201322:28Alan Anderson puts up 16 points, hits four 3s
Alan Anderson scored 16 points off the bench in a 99-78 win over the Bobcats on Friday, adding three rebounds, one steal and four 3-pointers on 26 minutes.
He took nine attempts from downtown tonight and has taken a whopping 7.5 attempts per game over his last four contests. The Raptors are deep on the wing, but Anderson is worth a look for owners that are seeking 3-pointers.

Wed Jan 9 201322:47Alan Anderson quiet off Raptors bench
Alan Anderson came off the bench to hit 4-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points, two assists, a steal and a block in 25 minutes.
Anderson scored 20 and 27 points in his previous two games, but Landry Fields started at SG tonight (and will going forward), and had 10 points and 11 rebounds in 42 minutes, Anderson is likely going to take a hit. Cutting Anderson for Fields seems like a good idea right now.

Sun Jan 6 201316:01Alan Anderson scores a career-high 27 points
Alan Anderson scored a career-high 27 points to go with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Thunder on Sunday.
He made his first six attempts and finished shooting 10-of-14 from the field while making all three free throws. Anderson played 27 minutes per game in his last five games and scored 15.6 points with 2.2 3-pointers over that span, so he's worth a long look in standard leagues. We're also going to be keeping an eye on Anderson cracking the starting rotation again, which could also help his value.

Sat Jan 5 201302:00Anderson scores 20 points off the bench
Alan Anderson scored 20 points off the bench on Friday against the Kings, hitting 7-of-17 shots (including two threes) with two rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block in 26 minutes.
The Kings struggle defending the 3-point shot and in particular their reserve unit was a mess, so some of this output should be viewed in that light. Anderson has been clinging onto his late-round value in 12-team formats over the past two weeks.

Sat Dec 29 201202:19Anderson scores 16 points vs. Hornets
Alan Anderson hit 5-of-14 shots (including two threes) in 36 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring 16 points with two rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Anderson had slowed down a bit but has been well worth owning over the past two weeks, averaging 27.6 minutes, 16.0 points, 2.7 threes, 1.5 steals, and 0.8 turnovers with 41 percent and 86 percent marks from the field and line.

Fri Dec 21 201222:53Anderson slows down against the Magic
Alan Anderson scored 10 points on 2-of-9 shooting (1-of-3 3PTs, 5-of-5 FTs) with one rebound, two assists, and two steals in 26 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Anderson went cold from the field but the minutes and overall touches are a good sign. We wouldn't use this game as the reason to drop him if you recently added him, and if anything he should see more run with Jonas Valanciunas possibly missing time.

Wed Dec 19 201223:30Alan Anderson stays hot in Raps win
Alan Anderson played 26 minutes, including the final 18 of the game, to finish with 16 points, three rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers on 4-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's win.
We're not sure why he didn't get more run early in the game, but he's now averaging 19 points, four rebounds, a steal and nearly four 3-pointers per game in just 27 minutes over his last three. If he can crack the starting lineup, he could be a very fun player to own, but is also worth a flier in most leagues while he's this hot off the bench.

Tue Dec 18 201221:54Alan Anderson scores 18, hits five treys
Alan Anderson had 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and five 3-pointers on 6-of-12 shooting in 32 minutes on Tuesday.
That makes back-to-back games that Anderson has piled it on and it's officially time to move on him. He had 24 points and three 3-pointers on Sunday, and he's doing this while coming off the bench. If he gets moved into the starting lineup, where he belongs, he should end up being a big steal off the waiver wire the rest of the way.

Sun Dec 16 201216:21Alan Anderson explodes for 24 points
Alan Anderson exploded for 24 points against the Rockets on Sunday, adding two rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
Anderson put up a dud in his return on Friday with just two points, but he was an crucial part of Sunday's win. He was the starter before going down with a foot injury, so he's back on the radar in standard leagues.

Sat Dec 15 201201:53Alan Anderson returns on Friday
Alan Anderson returned from his foot injury on Friday and had two points, five rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes.
He shot 0-of-8 from the field and he's lost a lot of his allure since the Raptors added Mickael Pietrus to compete on the wing. He can be left on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Fri Dec 14 201212:41Alan Anderson expected to play Friday
Alan Anderson (foot) went through shootaround and will play on Friday.
Anderson has missed the last 17 games with the foot injury, and his return comes at a good time with Landry Fields (elbow) still out. Before going down, he was averaging 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 3-pointers.

Thu Dec 13 201208:54Alan Anderson (foot) to practice Thursday
Alan Anderson (foot) is expected to practice on Thursday.
The Raptors are so banged up right now that they'll take any healthy bodies they can get. Anderson is averaging 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 treys in 21 minutes per game, but could see more minutes with the team's injuries.

Mon Dec 10 201208:43Alan Anderson closing in on his return
Alan Anderson (foot) went through his first pain-free practice on Sunday, and is "pretty much right around the corner."
The Raptors are hurting on the wing, but Anderson's return should help. "I just have to have that one more full-court practice where I'll be going up and down the court," he said. Anderson's return comes at a good time with Mickael Pietrus already battling a balky knee and Landry Fields (elbow) still sidelined.

Sat Dec 8 201217:09Alan Anderson (foot) has pain-free practice
Alan Anderson (foot) said he had his first pain-free practice in Saturday.
Anderson still doesn't have an exact target date, but this is obvious progress for the 6'6" swing man. The Raptors have a lot of mediocre depth now that they've acquired Mickael Pietrus and coach Dwane Casey's messy rotation may get even worse. We'd leave Anderson in the wire in all leagues.

Wed Dec 5 201214:31Alan Anderson goes through shootaround
Alan Anderson (foot) went through shootaround Wednesday, but he still isn't ready to return to action.
Given the previous timeline, it's encouraging that Anderson is practicing, but he remains at least a week away. Landry Fields (elbow) did some shooting off to the side Wednesday, but he remains out as well. Terrence Ross will continue to see more minutes as long as Anderson and Fields are sidelined.

Wed Nov 28 201210:41Alan Anderson still at least 2 weeks away
Alan Anderson (foot) is still at least two weeks away from returning.
Anderson is dealing with a torn plantar fascia in his left foot, and while the Raptors are saying he's at least two weeks out, he could be sidelined for longer than that. He's been out since mid-November and was originally given a three-to-six week timetable to recover.

Thu Nov 15 201212:48Alan Anderson (ankle) out for 3-6 weeks
Alan Anderson (ankle) is expected to miss 3-6 weeks with a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot.
Anderson hurt the foot in Saturday's game and as recently as Tuesday it was thought he would be returning soon. It seems the optimism was misplaced for the Raptors, who are also dealing with injuries to Kyle Lowry (ankle) and Landry Fields (wrist).

Tue Nov 13 201214:08Alan Anderson diagnosis not as bad as thought
According to Dwane Casey, Alan Anderson (ankle) is improving and won't be sidelined as long as originally thought.
Originally the Raptors feared Anderson would be out indefinitely, but Casey has since "upgraded" the swingman to day-to-day. Anderson is moving better, but still won't play Tuesday against the Pacers, meaning Linas Kleiza will get a lionshare of minutes.
