Sun Nov 11 201213:21Alan Anderson (ankle, foot) seen w/ crutches
Alan Anderson, who hurt his left foot and ankle during Saturday's game, was seen on Sunday using crutches and wearing a walking boot.
We don't have a timetable for his recovery, but the crutches and boot combo suggests he'll be on the shelf for a while. With Landry Fields battling a hand injury, Toronto badly needs Linas Kleiza to produce off the bench.

Sat Nov 10 201221:55Alan Anderson starts, exits w/ sprained ankle
Alan Anderson started at SG on Saturday, but he didn't return after spraining his left foot in the third quarter.
Anderson had seven points and three rebounds in 27 minutes before leaving. He's a decent source of 3-pointers, but he's also shooting under 35 percent from the field and doesn't contribute much in any other categories. With Landry Fields (hand) day-to-day and Anderson now ailing, there's no reason to touch him in average leagues.

Sat Nov 10 201217:56Alan Anderson gets the start at small forward
Alan Anderson will start at small forward against the Sixers on Saturday in place of the injured Landry Fields.
It's Anderson's first start since the last game of the 2010-2011 season. He has played well off the bench so far with averages of 7.4 points in 19.4 minutes. Owners in deeper leagues should keep an eye on the Michigan State product tonight.

Fri Nov 9 201216:16Alan Anderson to start for Raptors?
With rumors swirling that the Raptors starting lineup is about to change, Alan Anderson appears to be a possible replacement for Landry Fields at shooting guard.
Fields has been terrible and Anderson has played well off the bench. If they make the move, look for Anderson to hit 3-pointers and be worth a close look in almost any fantasy league. There is also talk of Amir Johnson replacing Jonas Valanciunas in the starting lineup, which would likely make Johnson a must-own player.

Sun Nov 4 201220:33Alan Anderson heating up in Raps' bench role
The Raptors got 18 points from reserve F Alan Anderson on Sunday -- he made 6-of-14 FGs with four 3-pointers and three rebounds in 31 minutes.
Anderson took a four year hiatus from the NBA between 2007-2011, but he was effective down the stretch for Toronto last year, when he scored double-digit points in eight of the Raptors' final nine games. Landry Fields is floudering in the starting SF role, which could make Anderson a reliable source of points and 3s, if little else.

Tue Oct 30 201210:05Alan Anderson ahead of Linas Kleiza at SF
Alan Anderson has moved ahead of Linas Kleiza on the depth chart at small forward.
Anderson finished last season with the Raptors and was re-signed after the year, and it's not an encouraging sign for Kleiza that Anderson is now ahead of him on the depth chart. With Landry Fields and DeMar DeRozan likely seeing the bulk of the playing time on the wing, neither Anderson nor Kleiza is worth a look in standard formats.

Tue Jul 31 201209:32Raptors officially re-sign G/F Alan Anderson
Raptors re-sign G/F Alan Anderson.
Anderson's agent had previously confirmed his client's return, but now it's official. There are still no details on the length of his contract. Anderson averaged 11.8 points and 2.2 rebounds over 12 starts late last season, but now behind DeMar DeRozan, Landry Fields and Terrence Ross on the depth chart, he'll need an injury to occur to possibly pop up on the fantasy radar.

Fri Jul 27 201218:12Alan Anderson re-signs with Raptors
According to his agent Mark Bartelstein, G/F Alan Anderson has re-signed with the Raptors.
There are no specific details about the length of the contract, but Anderson is set to return to Toronto on the veteran's minimum salary, where he averaged a career-high 9.6 ppg and 2.0 rpg and 1.4 3PMg in 17 games last season. Anderson actually started 12 games at SF last year for the Raptors, however Toronto plans to try DeMar DeRozan at SF this season after signing Landry Fields to play SG. Anderson will probably need an injury to be fantasy-relevant.

Tue Jul 17 201214:20Alan Anderson set to return to Raptors
Alan Anderson will return to the Raptors next season, according to beat writer Ryan Wolstat.
There is no clarification on the terms of the deal at this point, but Anderson appears to be coming back for at least one more year. Anderson was signed to a 10-day contract by the team last season and wound up sticking on through the end of the season, even serving as the starter at small forward.

Wed Apr 18 201223:08Alan Anderson goes 0-of-8 from downtown
Alan Anderson scored 15 points with two rebounds and three assists on Wednesday, but also failed to hit a three-pointer, shooting 0-of-8 from downtown.
While we won't complain about the points Anderson racked up tonight (on 7-of-18 shooting from the field), owners who recently added him for his shooting prowess will likely be disappointed about his failure to knock down a three. He should turn things around next time out.

Mon Apr 16 201223:11Anderson hits two threes against Hawks
Alan Anderson hit two 3-point shots against the Hawks, scoring 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting with four rebounds and a block in 25 minutes on Monday.
Anderson is hitting 2.1 threes per game in his last eight contests, so give him a look if you need help in that category.

Mon Apr 16 201216:18Alan Anderson signed for rest of season
Raptors signed G/F Alan Anderson for the remainder of the season.
It's a no-brainer move for the Raptors as Anderson has quietly been strong as the starting small forward. In seven starts, he's averaging 11.3 points and 2.1 3-pointers per game. Anderson remains ahead of James Johnson on the depth chart and is an interesting option for deep leaguers on the hunt for treys.

Fri Apr 13 201222:45Alan Anderson drains three 3s vs. Celtics
Alan Anderson hit three 3s on his way to 12 points (3-of-11 shooting) and four assists on Friday as the Raptors edged the Celtics.
Anderson has now scored in double-figures in each of his last three games, and has also played 30+ minutes in his last two. Owners in deep leagues that need three-point shooting should give him a look.

Fri Apr 6 201223:46Anderson goes scoreless in start at SF
Alan Anderson started at small forward for the Raptors on Friday, but went hitless on four shot attempts on his way to zero points, four rebounds, and no other statistics in 30 minutes.
Anderson had 13 points, four rebounds, and three treys in his debut, but this gives owners a better sense of where he is at. He'll be a desperation spot play at best if he gets another start.

Fri Apr 6 201211:48Alan Anderson to draw another start on Friday
Alan Anderson will once again start ahead of James Johnson on Friday.
The Raptors called Johnson's benching an "internal matter," but it appears Johnson is still in Dwane Casey's doghouse. Anderson had 13 points and three treys in his last start, so owners in deep leagues desperate for a spot-start could give him a look.

Fri Apr 6 201208:44Alan Anderson to get second 10-day contract
Alan Anderson will be signed to a second 10-day contract.
Anderson actually started for the Raptors on Wednesday and had 13 points to go along with three treys, so it's not surprising to learn he'll stick around for the time being.

Wed Apr 4 201221:56Alan Anderson starts for James Johnson
Alan Anderson, who was signed to a 10-day contract recently by the Raptors, started at forward in place of James Johnson on Wednesday and had 13 points, four rebounds adn three 3-pointers on 5-of-7 shooting.
Johnson's absence remains a mystery, but we're pretty sure it's connected to the upper respiratory infection he's been battling. Anderson has no fantasy value right now, but could be worth a deep-league look if he makes a couple more starts.
