Sun Mar 9 201420:45Alan Anderson steps up w/ Pierce, AK out
With Paul Pierce (shoulder) and Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) both injured on Sunday, Alan Anderson came off the bench to score 11 points with three 3-pointers in 24 minutes.
Anderson might find himself playing big minutes if Pierce and Kirilenko are unable to return for Monday's game vs. the Raptors. Owners looking for a temporary burst of 3-pointers should keep an eye on Brooklyn's injury report, but Anderson is a dubious source of long-term value.

Sat Feb 8 201400:39Anderson falls off after big night
Alan Anderson backed up Thursday's 22-point effort with just four points on 1-of-8 shooting, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 31 minutes off the bench on Friday.
The Nets got rolled hard by the Pistons and Anderson's shooting got caught up in all that dysfunction. Otherwise, the line isn't bad and it should keep him on the radar for deep league owners, but he needs a good game the next time out to cash in on any of his low-level potential.

Fri Feb 7 201400:17Alan Anderson scores 22 points off bench
Alan Anderson played 30 minutes against the Spurs during a 103-89 win on Thursday, scoring a team-high 22 points with two boards, one assist and two 3-pointers.
It's the most points he's scored in 2014 and his move to the bench hasn't really helped his output before tonight. Shaun Livingston isn't going away any time soon, so it's hard to get excited about Anderson's line to night. In fact, he didn't top seven points in any of his previous four games and averages just 8.0 points per game in his 21 games off the bench. Anderson is only a pickup in deeper leagues.

Sat Jan 11 201422:25Alan Anderson scores 13 points w/ five boards
Alan Anderson played 34 minutes against the Raptors on Saturday, scoring 13 points with five boards, three blocks and three 3-pointers.
He's been in the starting lineup for the past four games and now at a total of 17 on the year. Anderson averaged just 8.2 points, 2.9 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 triples on 39.7 percent in his previous 17 starts, but he had a nice game against his former team tonight. We wouldn't move the needle too much as far as pickups go.

Sat Dec 21 201302:15Alan Anderson scores 26 points on Friday
Alan Anderson scored a season-high 26 points against the Sixers on Friday with five boards, two assists, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers.
Joe Johnson (personal) did not play and it allowed Anderson to get some extra run. He will have a tough time holding value once Johnson comes back, especially with Paul Pierce playing better lately.

Tue Dec 10 201323:29Alan Anderson scores 15 in another start
Alan Anderson started again at small forward on Tuesday and had 15 points, four rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer on 6-of-7 shooting, despite the return of Paul Pierce.
Pierce came off the bench and didn't hit a shot, and Jason Kidd said after the game that he might continue bringing Pierce off the bench, which would be good news for Anderson. Anderson has hit 11-of-18 shots over his last two games, scoring 13 and 15 points, but the return of Pierce, even if Anderson keeps the starting job, should eventually knock Anderson back to obscurity.

Sun Dec 8 201300:03Alan Anderson scores 13 points in victory
Alan Anderson found the range vs. Milwaukee, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with two 3-pointers, four rebounds and one assist.
The veteran swingman played 38 minutes and will continue to have a massive role until Paul Pierce (hand) and Andrei Kirilenko (back) filter back into the rotation. Unfortunately his healthy minutes aren't adding up to reliable fantasy value, and in four starts he's averaged just 7.8 points, 1.8 triples, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals.

Tue Dec 3 201323:25Alan Anderson scores 8, plays well in loss
Alan Anderson hit 3-of-6 shots for just eight points in Tuesday's start at small forward, but also had four rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and a 3-pointer.
If you took a flier on Anderson, who is starting for Paul Pierce (broken hand), things could have gone worse. As long as Anderson is starting there is always the potential he'll blow up for a big fantasy line, but when it might happen is anyone's guess.

Tue Dec 3 201311:04Alan Anderson to start vs Nuggets Tuesday
Alan Anderson will draw the start at small forward against the Nuggets on Tuesday.
With Paul Pierce sidelined for at least the next two weeks, Anderson is in line to inherit a large chunk of The Truth's minutes. The fifth-year guard is coming off an 0-for-6 shooting performance in 28 minutes on Saturday, but should be able to bounce back to at least his season average of 7.9 points against the Nuggets. Anderson makes for a decent short-term add in deeper leagues and is a nice cheap option for daily leaguers while Pierce is out.

Sat Nov 30 201303:48Anderson scores 12 points off the bench
Alan Anderson scored 12 points off the bench in Friday's blowout loss, hitting 5-of-7 shots (including two threes) with four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes.
Hopefully for Nets fans' sakes the team will give any minutes that had been previously earmarked for Jason Terry to Anderson. He's worth a look as a spot-play if the team remains rocked by injury, but unless Jason Kidd comes out and announces that Anderson has jumped up the depth chart there's no long term value here.

Wed Nov 20 201322:19Alan Anderson plays well off Nets bench
Alan Anderson came off the bench to hit 5-of-10 shots and four 3-pointers for 16 points, two assists and a steal in 29 minutes in a loss to the Bobcats.
Anderson had a similar line on Saturday and given that most of the Nets are as old as dirt and banged up, Jason Kidd may be ready to give Anderson a bigger role. It's officially time to put him on your radar, especially in deeper leagues where the waiver wire is bare.

Sun Nov 17 201301:23Alan Anderson scores 15 points in loss
Alan Anderson hit four 3-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Clippers, scoring 15 points with four boards in 32 minutes.
He got the start with Paul Pierce sitting out and was the best player on the wing for Brooklyn. Anderson has put up some big lines here and there over his career, so the next time Paul Pierce misses a game, he might be worth a spot start.

Fri Jul 26 201312:50Nets pick up Alan Anderson on two-year deal
The Nets have agreed to a two-year deal with Alan Anderson.
The depth of the Nets is getting a little outrageous. Anderson had some bright spots during the season for Toronto, but his 38.3 percent from the field is a tough pill to swallow. Interestingly, Anderson torched Brooklyn's intra-city rival, averaging 19.3 points per game in four outings against the Knicks. He'll need a few injuries to happen to become fantasy relevant.

Wed Jul 10 201316:20Alan Anderson may be an option at SF for Nets
The Nets might turn to free agent Alan Anderson to fill their backup small forward role, sources tell Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The cap-strapped Nets originally aimed for Kyle Korver, but he turned out to be too expensive. Brooklyn then hoped to buy out Bojan Bogdanovic, but GM Billy King admitted Wednesday that wasn't an option. Anderson could be a solid backup-to-the-backup option for the Nets, although he's unlikely to get as many shots as he did during his career year last season.

Tue Jul 2 201312:01T-Wolves reach out to FA Alan Anderson
The Timberwolves have reached out to free agent swingman Alan Anderson.
Anderson averaged a career-best 10.7 points per game with the Raptors last season, while knocking down 1.5 threes per game, but he shot just 38.3 percent from the field. The Wolves likely view him as insurance in case they miss out on preferred FAs like J.J. Redick and Chase Budinger.

Wed Apr 17 201323:30Alan Anderson plays well in last game
Alan Anderson had 16 points and two 3-pointers in 16 minutes on Wednesday.
He's not likely to be back with the Raptors next season, and while he'll likely catch on with another team, it's doubtful that he'll ever have much fantasy value.

Wed Apr 10 201300:17Alan Anderson plays just six minutes
Alan Anderson played just six minutes on Tuesday, finishing with three points.
He's just not getting enough run to be used in fantasy leagues, as the Raptors are giving his minutes to Terrence Ross and Quincy Acy right now.

Fri Mar 29 201323:33Anderson and Ross quiet in Friday's win
Alan Anderson scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 22 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Both Anderson and Terrence Ross (six points, 15 minutes) have taken a hit with Rudy Gay back in the fold, and they didn't get any relief from Amir Johnson, who played tonight. Both of them can sit on the wire in normal formats, but be ready to move if teammates start to get injured.

Wed Mar 27 201323:17Anderson scores 12, Ross 13 in Gay's return
Alan Anderson and Terrence Ross came off the bench on Wednesday in the return of Rudy Gay, with Anderson scoring 12 and Ross scoring 13 points in the loss.
Both players take a hit with the return of Gay, but both played pretty well tonight. They're probably not worth starting as long as Gay is playing, but keep in mind that the Raptors lost Amir Johnson tonight to a leg injury, and have run out of big men. They're going to have to go small if Johnson misses time, and Anderson looks like the safer bet for production going forward.

Fri Mar 22 201320:28Anderson starting second half for Rudy Gay
Alan Anderson is starting the second half for the injured Rudy Gay (back).
Gay went to the locker room and he still hasn't emerged yet, so he's probably done for the night. Anderson is a nice speculative add in standard leagues since he can fire quite a few triples.
