Lee (hamstring) did not practice Tuesday and is doubtful to play Wednesday against Sacramento, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lee is nursing a hamstring injury and all signs point to him sitting out Wednesday's opener. If that is, indeed, the case, coach Steve Kerr said Draymond Green will draw the start at power forward.

Lee (hamstring) is considered questionable to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Kings, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lee missed Monday's practice with an undisclosed hamstring injury and his status for the opener is now in jeopardy. More information should surface Tuesday, but if Lee is unable to go, expect to see more of Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes against Sacramento.

Lee scored 24 points on 11-of-11 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line in Friday night's preseason loss to Miami. He added six rebounds and an assist.
The Warriors' new ball-motion offense can sometimes benefit one player more than others and on Friday, that player was Lee. He had been working on his mid-range game in the offseason, but never needed it Friday, instead scoring on a variety of near-the-rim looks.
Fri Oct 17 201406:49Lee given night off Thursday
Lee was given the night off Thursday, the first of a back-to-back set, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lee is expected back in the lineup for Friday night's preseason game to be played in Kansas City against the Heat.

Lee will not play in Thursday's preseason contest against the Nuggets in Des Moines, the San Francisco Chronicle's Rusty Simmons reports.
The team didn't list a reason for his absence, so it's likely nothing more than a day of rest on the first night of a back-to-back. Draymond Green will get the start in his place Thursday, and Lee should be considered questionable for Friday's matchup with Miami in Kansas City.

Lee left Tuesday's preseason game in the second half and was seen holding a bag of ice on his right hip, CSN Bay Area's Monte Poole reports.
The team hasn't announced an injury for Lee, but considering there was only one quarter left when he was seen on the bench, he probably won't return. Monitor his status in the coming days to see if he has an injury or was just dealing with general soreness.
Thu Oct 2 201407:41Lee said he's worked on mid-range game in offseason
Lee said he's worked on his mid-range game in the offseason, including a remake of his jump shot, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "I know I can shoot the ball," Lee said after Wednesday's practice. "All it was about was getting that confidence back after not shooting much last year I'll be ready to take and make that shot when it's there now."
Lee said he focused on scoring in the paint last season because there were no shortage of jumpers taken by others on the roster. As a result, when Lee did take a mid-range jumper, his accuracy rate fell to 35.7 percent (on 98 shots). The previous season, he connected on 42.1 percent on 235 mid-range attempts. Lee will continue to be a scoring option in the paint -- he averaged 13.1 points in the paint last season -- but he feels the offensive changes implemented by new head coach Steve Kerr will create opportunities for him to shoot outside the paint.

Lee said he is 100 percent healthy after undergoing a procedure to repair a torn abdominal muscle in the offseason, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
This is the same surgery Lee had prior to the 2012-13 season, a year he was named an All-Star. Lee's core didn't begin hurting him until he started his summer training regimen and knew right then he'd need a procedure.

Lee (abdomen) is expected to be ready to participate at the start of training camp, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Lee underwent a minor surgical procedure in June to repair a core muscle in his pelvic area. He will be the starter at power forward for the Warriors this season, according to coach Steve Kerr. Lee resumed working out in the middle of August, giving him over a month of action in his attempt to be in shape for training camp.

Lee has resumed working out after having "minor" surgery in June to mend a core muscle, the CSN Bay Area reports.
The Warriors are saying Lee will be ready to go when training camp kicks off Sept. 29.

Lee (stomach) is said to have an "automatic" starting spot under new Warriors coach Steve Kerr, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Lee was included in trade talks surrounding Kevin Love this summer, but with Love set to join the Cavaliers, Lee remains with the Warriors as the team's starting power forward this season. Although coach Kerr is thought to prefer a 'stretch four' at the position, Lee's production of 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds last season is certainly welcomed. After overcoming a minor surgery to his pelvic area in July, the veteran big man will once again start next to center Andrew Bogut for Golden State this season. Nonetheless, it will be worthwhile to monitor how Kerr manages Lee's minutes with lineup combinations in the early going.
Mon Jul 14 201411:33David Lee 'fine' after having minor surgery
David Lee has withdrawn his name from the USA national team training camp roster after undergoing a "very minor" surgery to address a core muscle injury.
The Warriors expect Lee to fully recovered by early August, but he doesn't want to rush a return. Warriors coach Steve Kerr stated that Lee is "fine," and added that he's been working out. This seems like a very minor procedure, and Lee should be ready to go for the start of training camp next season.

Sun Jul 13 201412:00Kerr has talked with David Lee about rumors
Steve Kerr has talked with both David Lee and Klay Thompson regarding all the trade rumors that have come up lately involving Kevin Love.
"They both get it," Kerr said. "I told them, 'I know you get it. It doesn't make it any easier.' But this is why you really get paid... You get paid because you can get traded, and you have to uproot your family. You can get hurt, you can get booed, and people on the message board are crushing you. That's where you actually earn your money in this league, where it actually feels like work." Talks between the Warriors and Timberwolves have stalled with the Warriors refusing to include Thompson in a deal that would net them Love.

Fri Jul 11 201419:41Kerr says Lee to start, but how many minutes?
Steve Kerr said Friday that he envisions David Lee starting, but made comments that suggest his minutes could take a hit.
"That's where I think Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes can make a big difference if we go small," Kerr told KNBR on Friday. "Their ability to shoot threes is big." Kerr would also add, "I love Lee, and I think he's going to be our starter, and he's going to score a lot and be our slasher and our interior scorer. But we need to complement that with some perimeter shooting from that spot, too."

Fri Jun 20 201409:14GSW adding David Lee into Klay-Love deal?
The Warriors are deciding whether they're prepared to include David Lee in a deal for Kevin Love and Kevin Martin.
It seems Klay Thompson is certainly going to be included and also the Wolves want to get rid of Martin's contract. They gave Martin a four-year, $28 million deal last summer, which seems like a steep price. It would appear giving up just Klay wouldn't be enough, but the loss of Lee wouldn't be too bad especially with the emergence of Draymond Green. This deal could have some legs.

Wed May 21 201409:45Warriors lower the bar for trading David Lee
The Warriors have reportedly "lowered the bar" for trading David Lee, in the hopes that they can unload the $30.5 million remaining on his contract.
Flipping D-Lee could give Golden State enough salary-cap space to pursue another star player, such as Kevin Love or Carmelo Anthony, and coach Steve Kerr has been open about his desire for a stretch-PF. Warriors beat writer Marcus Thompson has been told to "watch out for Orlando as a potential trade partner," but for now it's closer to being a rumor than a report.

Sun May 18 201412:18David Lee may be trade piece for Kevin Love
As rumors continue to swirl around Kevin Love, the Warriors have emerged as potential suitors.
While the Warriors don't have draft picks to offer like the Celtics or Suns, they could put together an enticing package involving the likes of David Lee, Harrison Barnes, and Klay Thompson. Sources say that Love has stressed to management that he's desperate to get to a winning situation, and the constant losing over the past six years has worn on him. There's going to be a lot of rumors going around, and let's be clear that currently nothing is imminent.

Fri May 2 201401:08David Lee fouls out on Thursday night
David Lee fouled out in the fourth quarter with 10 minutes remaining, finishing with eight points, nine boards, three assists, one steal and one turnover.
This game was a fouling fest early on and it led to Lee getting an early exit. The Warriors will have to lean more on Marreese Speights and Draymond Green with Jermaine O'Neal (knee) also out for the night.

Wed Apr 30 201401:40David Lee double-doubles in loss to Clippers
David Lee double-doubled in Tuesday's 113-103 loss to the Clippers with 18 points, 10 boards and four assists in 28 minutes.
The Warriors actually won the battles in points in the paint and rebounds tonight, but the Clippers have just been exploiting the Warriors due to a lack of a center. Lee had a tough time guarding DeAndre Jordan tonight and he's dealt with some struggles in low-post defense. He'll look to get it turned around in Game 6 on Thursday with his team down 3-2.

Sat Apr 26 201412:48Mark Jackson hints at lineup changes
Warriors coach Mark Jackson hinted that he may change Golden State's starting lineup for Game 4
"I won't say whether I will or with who, but it's possible," Jackson said Friday. David Lee's defense on Blake Griffin has been suspect and he's clearly being looked at as a potential liability. Nothing is confirmed at this time but it's possible that Draymond Green could get the nod over Lee in Game 4.
