Lee (back) has been ruled out for Game 1 on Saturday, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Lee continues to battle a strained lower back, and the team will hold him out Saturday. Given the favorable first-round matchup, the Warriors will not rush Lee back, so it's possible he could miss additional games. Look for Marreese Speights to pick up some extra minutes in Lee's stead.

Lee (back) is officially listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pelicans, Monte Poole of CSN reports.

Lee missed two of the final four regular season games and played sparingly down the stretch while nursing a nagging back issue. His questionable designation is not overly encouraging, but more will be known after he's evaluated Friday. Given the Warriors' favorable first-round matchup and overall depth, Lee likely won't be asked to play until he's 100 percent.

Lee is battling a minor back issue, and the Warriors will keep him out Wednesday in an effort to keep him fresh for the start of the postseason. Coach Steve Kerr did say Tuesday that he anticipates playing his regulars Wednesday, however.

Lee returned to the bench Saturday with a healthy Draymond Green available, but did not enter the contest at all.

If Lee was added to any fantasy team with Green out, now is the time to cut the former All-Star and find someone who will actually play minutes down the stretch consistently. Lee has averaged just 8.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 19 minutes per game this season.

Lee continues to start with Draymond Green (shin) out. Tuesday, he scored seven points (3-7 FG, 1-2 FT) in addition to picking up six rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.

Lee has seen about seven minutes per game more as a starter now, but his numbers aren't all that drastically different as a starter. In 41 games off the bench this season, he's averaging 4.3 fewer points per game than a starer but is averaging more assists, rebounds, steals and blocks.

Lee will receive the start Thursday in place of the the injured Draymond Green (shin).

Lee starting was a discussed scenario Thursday as coach Steve Kerr indicated he was considering resting Green. With Green out, Lee will make his third straight start for the Warriors.

Lee has replaced Green in the starting lineup the last two games, producing 29 points and 11 rebounds in wins over the Bucks and Clippers. With Kerr in full-on rest-for-the-playoffs mode, Lee is expected to get an uptick of playing time over the final few weeks.

Lee had 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, and one assist in 30 minutes on Tuesday.

Lee got the start with Draymond Green out with a shin injury. If Draymond Green misses any time witht the injury or with extra rest for the playoffs, expect Lee to start in his place as his value increases immensely.

Lee will make only his third start of the season after starting 67 of the 69 games in which he played in 2013-14. Green is only expected to miss one or two games, and if he's held out again Thursday versus Phoenix, Lee will remain in the starting five. Lee's production has been fairly quiet of late - he's averaging 6.6 points per game in March - but he should see an increase in minutes, as should James Michael McAdoo.

Even in a starting role, Lee failed to fire, and is averaging just 8.2 points and 5.4 rebounds this season. In order to consider Lee, even with the Warriors resting players, you'll need to be in a fairly deep league at this point.

Lee is a great play in daily games. Unfortunately, this news came out too late for most lineups to be changed. He should go back to a bench role with Green expected to play in the Warriors' next game Tuesday against the Clippers.

Lee contributed seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one block in 20 minutes off the bench against the Pelicans on Friday.

Lee's minutes have been hard to predict of late which makes him a risky option across all formats. In evidence of this, he's sat out four of the last nine games but has also played at least 20 minutes in three instances over that same time period. As a result, fellow bench players like Marreese Speights have similar value to that of Lee despite the fact that Lee is only two years removed from being an All-Star.

Lee was a DNP-Coach's Decision on Wednesday against Atlanta.

Even though Wednesday's game was a blowout in which Steve Kerr used six of his reserves, Lee did not see any playing time. Lee's minutes continue to be very up-and-down as he has fallen further and further back in Golden State's rotation.

Lee made his first start of the season Friday night and scored 13 points with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 31 minutes in a loss to Denver.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr rested a bunch of players, including center Andrew Bogut, paving the way for Lee's start. It's been a difficult time for Lee of late, having been a healthy DNP in three of the previous four games.

Andrew Bogut is getting the night off to rest, so Lee will start in the frontcourt alongside Draymond Green. Lee now becomes a very enticing play in daily leagues, but look for Bogut to get back in the starting lineup sooner than later.

Lee will play in the Warriors' back-to-back set Friday in Denver and Saturday versus the Knicks, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

As the result of a coach's decision, Lee has missed three of the past four games, but Steve Kerr mentioned Thursday that the veteran forward will take part in the upcoming back-to-back. In nine games played since the break, Lee has averaged 6.9 points (on 60 percent shooting), 5.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.7 steals in 16 minutes.

Lee, who did not play for the third time in the last four games Wednesday, said he's okay with the decision of coach Steve Kerr not to play him, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "I am never going to put myself ahead of the team," Lee said. "We're winning, and that's all that matters."

Until recently, Lee could be counted on for 18-20 minutes a night and an occasional night of double-digit production. But the Warriors are going small more often and Kerr needs bodies who can defend the three-point line. If a big man is needed, Marreese Speights who can space the floor with his outside shooting is a better fit.

Lee did not play in Monday night's win over the Suns. It was the second time in three games that Lee's been a DNP.

Head coach Steve Kerr has found a small-lineup combination that's been working well for Golden State and it's reduced Lee's usage. He's averaging 7.5 minutes per game in the last six.

Lee, who did not play in Friday's win over the Mavericks, played 19 minutes in Sunday's win over the Clippers. He had four points, six rebounds and one assist Sunday.

Lee's playing time has taken a dip the last week. In the four previous games, he saw a combined 26 minutes including Friday's DNP. His minutes may fluctuate depending on head coach Steve Kerr's deployment of a smaller lineup, something that's been an effective tool in the coach's arsenal.

Lee did not get off the bench in Friday night's win over the Mavericks.

There's no word of injury, so we believe this is by design. We've seen this coming the last week or so. In the three previous games, Lee has played a combined 26 minutes with six points and six rebounds. It looks like head coach Steve Kerr has been going to a smaller lineup, one that features more playing time for Shaun Livingston.
