Tue Mar 22 201104:20Ajinca nears double-double in garbage time
Alexis Ajinca ran up some impressive numbers in garbage time of the Raptors' loss to the Nuggets on Monday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting (including three treys) with nine rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in an incredibly low 16 minutes.
This line is as fluky as we've seen in this crazy blowout night, but the pure fact that he was able to do this once perks our interest if anything were to ever happen to Andrea Bargnani. Keep this blurb in mind if you see Bargs go down.

The trade that would send Alexis Ajinca to the Raptors is being reviewed for salary cap compliance by the NBA.
It seems the Ajinca deal will get done soon, whether or not something needs to be tweaked, but this could delay Peja Stojakovic's signing with the Mavericks.

Thu Jan 20 201117:56Ajinca will be traded to Raptors
The Mavericks will trade backup C Alexis Ajinca to the Raptors so they can create a roster spot for Peja Stojakovic, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
The key here is that the Mavs didn't want to let go of Sasha Pavlovic. So, they are giving the Raptors Ajinca for essentially nothing. Ajinca fits the Raptors' mold as a skilled player from Europe, but has never shown any signs of succeeding at the NBA level.

Fri Dec 24 201009:52Ajinca on the block for Mavs
Mavericks center Alexis Ajinca is available in trade discussions, but the 23-5 Mavericks are becoming more "choosy" as to what they want in return.
Ajinca is no prize, but as pointed out by ESPN's Marc Stein, "There will always be a premium on a still-developing young big man in the NBA." He isn't going to have fantasy value regardless of where he finishes the season.

Wed Dec 8 201000:34Ajinca grabs career-high six rebounds
Alexis Ajinca grabbed a career-high six rebounds on Tuesday, and added three points on 1-of-4 shooting to go with one steal and two blocks in nine minutes.
Tyson Chandler (flu) was out and that was the only reason he showed up on the stat sheet tonight, but it was noteworthy that him and Ian Mahinmi made Brendan Haywood a benchwarmer tonight. Let's be clear though, Ajinca will have no fantasy value going forward.
Wed Oct 27 201009:22Mavs won't pick up Ajinca
The Mavs will not pick up the fourth-year opton on C Alexis Ajinca.
Ajinca is just too raw. He'll stick in the NBA thanks to his excellent size and upside, but the Mavs obviously don't think too much of him. Ajinca will be a restricted free agent after this season now.

Tue Jul 13 201015:02Alexis Ajinca traded to Mavericks on Tue.
Bobcats big man Alexis Ajinca was traded to the Mavericks as part of Tuesday's five player swap.
Ajinca is still a project big man, and considering the Mavs' frontcourt depth we don't expect to see much of him this season. He had thumb surgery last February but has since returned to perfect health.
