Tue Nov 26 201322:29Jordan Hill scores 10 points w/ eight boards
Jordan Hill had 10 points, eight boards and two blocks in 30 minutes against the Wizards on Tuesday.
It's his seventh game in a row with double-digit scoring and he's averaged 11.1 boards and 1.6 blocks in that span. Hill should be owned in all leagues and is locked in at about 32 minutes per game with Mike D'Antoni and Co.

Sat Nov 23 201305:02Hill goes for 10 and nine against GSW
Jordan Hill scored 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting with nine rebounds, three assists and one block in 33 minutes on Friday against the Warriors.
Hill discussed his right knee bone bruise after the game, saying "Off the court, it stiffens up & bothers me but during the game, with the adrenaline flowing, I don't feel nothing." It's just food for thought for owners that took the plunge, as it's possible the good times don't last forever, but for now Hill is doing great and should be in all lineups.

Mon Nov 18 201300:19Jordan Hill posts career-high 24 pts, 17 reb
Jordan Hill posted career-highs with 24 points and 17 rebounds in Sunday's win vs. the Pistons, making 11-of-16 field goals and both of his free throw attempts in 36 minutes.
Hill has been dominant while starting the past four games, averaging 18.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.8 blocks, though he went without any steals or blocks vs. the Pistons' frontcourt. He's also shooting 61.7 percent from the field during that span and his nearest competitors for PF minutes are Shawne Williams and lumbering Chris Kaman, who played five minutes on Sunday. Keep him locked into your starting lineups.

Sat Nov 16 201304:28Hill settles in with 12 points and five rebs
Jordan Hill settled in on Friday after a couple of monster games, posting 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting with five rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes.
Hill has gotten consistent run for three straight games now and owners should get used to the shape of this line as opposed to the gaudy numbers he posted in the past two games. From here the plan is to ride him until the wheels fall off.

Thu Nov 14 201300:40Jordan Hill goes for 18 & 15 in loss
Jordan Hill made another start for the Lakers Wednesday and came through with 18 points, 15 rebounds, a steal and three blocks on 6-of-11 shooting, and even hit 6-of-6 free throws to boot.
He had 21 points and 11 boards in Tuesday's start, and if you didn't pick him up after that one, it's probably too late to get him now.

Wed Nov 13 201302:23Jordan Hill explodes for career line in start
Jordan Hill started at power forward on Tuesday and made the most of it, torching the Pelicans for a career-high 21 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and a block on 7-of-12 shooting in 26 minutes for the Lakers.
He also hit 7-of-8 free throws and even though he plays for Mike D'Antoni, could stick in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. If you need a big man and have someone to drop, go ahead and make the move. We like him better than Zaza Pachulia right now, but John Henson is probably a guy you'll want to hold onto over Hill.

Sat Nov 9 201304:48Hill wakes up for 13 rebounds vs. Pelicans
Jordan Hill put up his first really big rebounding number in Friday's loss to the Pelicans, notching 13 boards to go with four points, one steal and one block in 22 minutes off the bench.
Backup center minutes were opened up by Mike D'Antoni's decision to start Chris Kaman next to Pau Gasol, rather than having all three guys share the one slot for the most part. Hill certainly hasn't had the look of a great fantasy play to start the year, but a tight fantasy game gives him above-average upward mobility in the ranks if he can continue to get minutes. Deep league owners should give him a look and everybody else can simply put Hill on their radar.

Jordan Hill said he's not sure if he or Chris Kaman will start opposite of Pau Gasol on Thursday against the Lakers.
Coach Mike D'Antoni said he wanted to go with a big lineup, and after what the Rockets did to the Blazers in the paint Tuesday night, it's an easy decision. Hill seems like a good bet for the starting gig after he started the second half on Tuesday. He was terrible in the preseason, but he's still in deep leagues. Shawne Williams can be let go in just about every league.

Mon Nov 4 201320:34Hill dealing with bone bruise on knee
Jordan Hill has a bone bruise on his knee but will still play in Tuesday's game against the Mavs.
Hill is flying to meet with the team in Dallas after an MRI showed the bruise, but apparently the injury isn't serious. We'll keep an eye on it because bone bruises aren't always small issues, but for now it looks like Mike D'Antoni's unwillingness to let Hill and Chris Kaman play anything but backup center is a greater threat to his value.

Mon Nov 4 201301:07Jordan Hill closes the game for Lakers
Jordan Hill grabbed a big offensive rebound down the stretch on Sunday to night to help seal a win against the Hawks, finishing with six points, five boards, one assist and one block in 14 minutes.
He, Shawne Williams (seven points, four boards and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes) and Chris Kaman (10 points, five boards and one block in 16 minutes) are all basically splitting the minutes next to Pau Gasol three ways, so it's not going to be easy to count on any of these forwards.

Sat Nov 2 201318:38Jordan Hill likely to get more minutes for LA
Jordan Hill is expected to see more minutes in the Lakers' rotation, as Mike D'Antoni looks for ways to jumpstart his team.
"I might have to get to the point where two [Lakers' players] are ticked off at me and eight of them love me," said D'Antoni, referring to tough rotation decisions. "They're kind of playing their spots and they're all playing pretty good so it's kind of tough to find minutes for all of them. We'll make a decision here." He said that giving more minutes to Hill is "obvious," so Hill will at least have a few shots to earn a bigger chunk of playing time than the 14 minutes per game he's averaging thus far.

Sat Nov 2 201303:53Hill plays 11 minutes on Friday vs. SA
Jordan Hill played just 11 minutes on Friday against the Spurs, scoring five points on 2-of-3 shooting with four rebounds and one assist.
There was talk after the game about getting Hill more time, and owners should simply keep one eye on him at this time.

Wed Oct 30 201302:14Jordan Hill grabs seven offensive boards
Jordan Hill was outstanding on the glass with seven offensive rebounds, totaling eight with 12 points, two assists, one steal and one block in just 18 minutes against the Clippers on Tuesday.
He looked horrible in the preseason and was being lapped by Chris Kaman before coach Mike D'Antoni decided to put Shawne Williams in the starting lineup. Hill's track record makes it tough to pick him up until he can string together positive outings.

Tue Oct 15 201310:05Jordan Hill plays through sore right knee
Jordan Hill was bothered by a sore right knee on Tuesday, and he finished scoreless with zero rebounds and four turnovers in 12 minutes.
Chris Kaman once again started alongside Pau Gasol, and Hill seems to be sliding into a backup role during the preseason. His energy and rebounding are unimpeachable but he doesn't have enough shooting range to be the 'stretch four' Mike D'Antoni covets. We'll keep Hill off the injury list unless we hear a pessimistic update.

Wed Aug 21 201317:06Jordan Hill working hard on mid-range jumper
Jordan Hill has been taking at least 1,000 jump shots per day in an effort to improve his mid-range shot.
Mike D'Antoni asked him to improve his outside shooting and Hill said a few weeks ago, "I just want to be a stretch four." It's an admirable sentiment, but he's made zero 3-pointers in his four-year NBA career and his style of play won't change in one summer. "Provide energy, play defense, rebound," he said. "That's my game." Hill is recovering from a hip injury which he said "is never going to be completely 100 percent," but he's expected to be ready for training camp.

Mon Aug 12 201318:54Jordan Hill told to improve outside jump shot
Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni told Jordan Hill that he needed to work on his outside jump shot to stay on the floor this season.
"I just want to be a stretch 4," Hill said. "Just try to spread the floor a little bit, just show a little range." Hill made 33.3 percent of his jump shots, but was sixth in the league in rebounds per 36 minutes and shot 64.7 percent at the rim. If he stays healthy and his shooting improves, which he says it has, he could have value on a Lakers team with very little depth.

Sat Jun 15 201315:48Jordan Hill (hip) on pace to play opening day
The Lakers expect Jordan Hill (hip) to be "fully functional by the start of the season," according to head trainer Gary Vitti.
Interestingly, Vitti suggests that Hill's hip injury may have been caused by his style of play. "Just bending and twisting in every which way to get his hands on balls," said Vitti, "he went down at the wrong angle and tore the hip labrum." Hill made a surprise return from hip surgery during the playoffs and he should be ready to go for training camp.

Mon Apr 29 201318:06Jordan Hill says hip is at 80 to 85 percent
Jordan Hill says his ailing hip is at 80 to 85 percent and he expects to be 100 percent by training camp.
Hill says he'll go see a surgeon in three to four weeks just to check on his progress but it sounds like he should be good to go to begin next season. Hill also added that his back didn't give him any problems all season after having issues with it during camp. Hill will likely back up whoever plays center for the Lakers next season.

Thu Apr 25 201300:07Jordan Hill returns in limited minutes
Jordan Hill came in late during Game 2 on Wednesday, finishing with two points and two rebounds in six minutes.
He came back about three months early from his hip surgery, but probably won't be able to give the Lakers much more than a big body to try to stop and foul the Spurs' big men.

Wed Apr 24 201320:48Jordan Hill not likely to play Wednesday
Jordan Hill, who has been medically cleared after hip surgery, doesn't sound like a lock to play on Wednesday, according to coach Mike D'Antoni.
All reports are that Hill is ready to go, but D'Antoni might not be ready to use him just yet. Then again, D'Antoni has been known to change his mind, so it wouldn't be all that surprising to see Hill on the court tonight.
