Sun Mar 23 201414:05Jordan Hill to start on Sunday vs. Orlando
As expected, Jordan Hill will draw the start on Sunday vs. Orlando.
Hill had a nice game on Friday with nine points, 14 boards, and 4 blocks in 27 minutes. However, D'Antoni's rotations are anything but consistent, so even with the starting label Hill's minutes could be yanked around. That being said, there is enough upside here to make Hill worth a speculative add.

Sat Mar 22 201415:59Jordan Hill expected to start on Sunday
Jordan Hill is expected to start against the Magic on Sunday.
He was excellent in Friday's game with nine points, 14 boards and four blocks in 27 minutes. Hill has been very inconsistent throughout the year and his minutes have been sporadic, so the move to the starting lineup isn't the greatest endorsement about his stat potential. We've probably said it 20 times, but Hill is worth a look for his upside. He'll join Kendall Marshall, Jodie Meeks, Wes Johnson and Pau Gasol in the first unit. The Lakers actually used this lineup back in January, so they're still at 30 different ones, which is kind of ridiculous.

Thu Mar 20 201423:14Jordan Hill could return on Friday
Jordan Hill (knee) will be available to play against the Wizards on Friday.
Coach Mike D'Antoni said he will have his big man for the weekend, but his playing time is unclear to say the least. Hill hasn't been capable of playing significant minutes all season while Ryan Kelly has stepped it up since the All-Star break. He can be left on the wire in most leagues.

Tue Mar 18 201418:38Jordan Hill (knee) hopes to play this weekend
Jordan Hill (knee) practiced again on Tuesday and hopes to return to action this weekend.
Hill hasn't played since early March and Mike D'Antoni has limited his playing time throughout the season, so there's no reason to speculatively add him outside of very deep leagues.

Mon Mar 17 201418:04Jordan Hill return to the practice court
Jordan Hill (knee) was a limited participant in practice on Monday.
He couldn't go through 5-on-5 work, which means there's very little chance he'll be able to play on Wednesday. Hill has not really shown he's capable of playing big minutes all season, so there is little incentive to hold him in fantasy formats. Meanwhile, Ryan Kelly has looked good in the starting lineup and is worth a long look on standard formats.

Thu Mar 13 201413:27Jordan Hill out Thursday vs Oklahoma City
Jordan Hill (knee) will miss Thursday's game against the Thunder.
This will be Hill's sixth consecutive game missed and it's starting to look like this could be a prolonged absence. Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre will continue to absorb Hill's minutes with Kelly being the better fantasy option at this point. Hill was teetering on being worth owning even when he was healthy, so it goes without saying that fantasy owners can feel free to cut him.

Wed Mar 12 201415:24Jordan Hill still not at practice on Wed.
Jordan Hill (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.
He has missed five games with his knee injury and the Lakers could be without him for a while. Hill has no fantasy value considering the Lakers have been very bashful about playing him decent and consistent minutes.

Thu Mar 6 201413:46Jordan Hill will miss Thursday's game vs LAC
Jordan Hill (sore right knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
Hill has received two straight DNP-coach's decisions, so there is a good chance he may not have played Thursday even if healthy. Hill's absence should open up some minutes for Chris Kaman on Robert Sacre against the Lakers, but neither is worth starting in standard leagues.

Sat Mar 1 201400:58Lakers centers not named Gasol no good
Jordan Hill, Chris Kaman and Robert Sacre combined to play 15 minutes in Friday's game against the Kings.
Each of these guys should be dead to fantasy owners until they put up three solid games in a row. Anything less would be uncivilized.

Mon Feb 24 201400:30Jordan Hill scores 11 points w/ eight boards
Jordan Hill scored 11 points with eight boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 30 minutes against the Nets on Sunday.
Here we go again with the Jordan Hill teasing. He's scored double-digit points in four straight and his minutes have increased in each of those games. Ryan Kelly's days are numbered with a DNP-CD tonight, so it looks like Hill might get his chance to play in the high 20s for minutes. He's worth a look for owners needing some big-man stats.

Sat Feb 22 201410:16Jordan Hill scores 10 with 12 boards
Jordan Hill double-doubled against the Celtics on Friday with 10 points, 12 boards and three blocks in 27 minutes.
There are not many more teases in fantasy hoops than Hill and he's doing it again with four double-figure scoring games in his last five. In that span, he averaged 10.4 points, 6.6 boards, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks in just 23 minutes per game. His 2013-14 campaign has showed he's not really capable of playing big minutes, so he's more of an option in some deeper formats.

Thu Feb 20 201414:19Jordan Hill seems unlikely to be dealt
Jordan Hill being traded before the deadline seems "faint at this point."
The Lakers are trying to cut down their luxury tax bill as they attempt to find a suitor for Hill, but no team seems like they're going to take him off their hands. The Nets were candidates along with the Cavs and Pelicans, but nothing was ever really close.

Thu Feb 20 201413:46Nets backing off deal for Jordan Hill
The Nets don't appear to be interested in acquiring F/C Jordan Hill from the Lakers, according to David Aldridge.
The Pelicans also opted out of talks for Hill recently and we're starting to wonder if any Lakers will be dealt on Thursday. Hill's obviously available to the highest bidder, but there may not be one.

Thu Feb 20 201410:42Woj: Pelicans backing off Jordan Hill deal
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting the Pelicans are shying away from trying to acquire Jordan Hill from the Lakers.
The Pelicans could use a big man with so many injuries up front, but the Lakers asking price may be too high, or the Pelicans just don't love Hill.

Thu Feb 20 201402:24Jordan Hill plays well in likely finale
Jordan Hill played 26 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday with 10 points, seven boards, three steals and one block.
It's almost a foregone conclusion this will be Hill's last game with the Lakers this season and they gave him some extra run tonight as a showcase. Unless he winds up on a team like the Hawks, it's hard to imagine him becoming a player to target off the wire.

Wed Feb 19 201416:37The Cavs get in the Jordan Hill mix
The Cavaliers have "strongly emerged" as a candidate to acquire Jordan Hill before Thursday's deadline, ESPN.com reports.
It's still a little strange the Nets would be willing to sign Hill because it would put their payroll and luxury tax this season at a laughable $211 million, which is more than the gross domestic product of some small countries. The Cavaliers acquiring Hill would likely mean they'll take a stab at going for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and would hurt the playing time of Tyler Zeller and possibly a suddenly-improving Anthony Bennett. There's little reason to pick up Hill in standard leagues.

Wed Feb 19 201413:49Report: Nets progress in talks for J. Hill
The Lakers and Nets are reportedly "progressing" in talks that would bring Jordan Hill to Brooklyn despite a massive $17 million luxury-tax hit for the Nets.
Money is no object for owner Mikhail Prokhorov, clearly, but this trade is still being developed and Yahoo! reports that the Lakers "have been engaged in conversations elsewhere on Jordan Hill."

Tue Feb 18 201409:25Nets' luxury-tax bill a boon for stingy teams
The Nets' reported interest in trading for Jordan Hill is being watched closely by teams slated to share the NBA's luxury-tax bill.
To be clear, the Nets and Lakers have "discussed" a deal but there are no indications that a trade is in the works. Hill's $3.5 million salary balloons to $17 million for the Nets once the league's punitive taxes kick in, even a pro-rated portion of which would be a windfall for the approximately 25 teams on pace to split half of the proceeds. Nets' owner Mikhail Prokhorov may not be dissuaded by a team-salary in excess of $200 million, but at the very least it's encouraging stingier teams to stay under the $71.7 million luxury-tax cutoff.

Mon Feb 17 201417:02Nets and Lakers talking Jordan Hill deal?
The Nets and Lakers have discussed a deal involving Jordan Hill, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Hill would go into the Nets' Disable Player Exception to make the deal work. Due to the Brook Lopez (foot) injury, the Nets have that exception until Mar. 10 to pick up an extra player. The problem is that the Nets are so far above the luxury tax that Hill's $3.5 million deal would cost the team $17 million. Hill would lose a lot of fantasy value on the Nets, but this deal doesn't make much sense for them on the surface.
