Tue May 8 201210:00Alonzo Gee drawing interest already
Restricted free agent Alonzo Gee is already drawing interest from the Phoenix Suns.
The Cavs have previously said that the club will look to bring him back, but he'll likely be targeting a multi-year deal after a breakout season in Cleveland. The Suns are reportedly prepared to offer Gee an annual average salary of around $4 million per season, with Minnesota and Detroit also thought to be interested in Gee as well.

Mon Apr 30 201211:06Alonzo Gee expected back with Cavs
Beat writer Tom Reed expects the Cavs to try to sign restricted free agent Alonzo Gee to a multi-year contract.
Gee started 31 games for the Cavs this season, averaging 11.6 points and 6.2 rebounds in that role. But on a good team, he ideally fits as an athlete off the bench.

Mon Apr 23 201223:51Gee scores eight points in return as starter
Alonzo Gee returned to the starting lineup on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes.
The workload isn't encouraging whether it's due to his ankle or not, but in a three-game week he had some margin for error. Give him a look going forward as a low-end play.

Mon Apr 23 201219:22Gee to return to starting lineup Monday
Alonzo Gee will return to the starting lineup on Monday against the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies will be playing hard for playoff positioning, and the Cavs are going to be playing hard under Byron Scott's demanding leadership. Gee came off the bench following week-long absence due to an ankle injury on Sunday, scoring 10 points with five rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes. We can think of worse options to plug in, provided you're alright with the poor shooting percentage.

Alonzo Gee (ankle) has been ruled out for the Cavs on Friday night against the Knicks.
Omri Casspi will probably get the start in Gee's place, but has been very underwhelming this season. We'd recommend looking elsewhere if you can.

Wed Apr 18 201217:47Alonzo Gee unlikely to play Wednesday
Alonzo Gee (ankle) does not expect to play on Wednesday.
Gee's shooting percentage has plummeted to 36 percent in April, and this injury clouds his status for the remainder of the season, but fantasy owners shouldn't overlook his mini-breakout -- for the season he averaged 10.7 points, 0.7 threes, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals in under 30 minutes per game.

Alonzo Gee (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Pistons.
Gee is a last-minute scratch due to a sprained left ankle. Omri Casspi will get the start, but there's nothing here for owners to see. Casspi averaged just 7.7 points and 0.9 3-pointers in his 34 starts earlier this season.

He didn't have a steal or block, but is averaging 12 points, seven boards and three assists over his last five. He's averaging 1.4 steals on the season, but hasn't had one in four straight games, but with five games in the upcoming week, Gee looks like a solid fantasy option.

Tue Apr 3 201221:30Alonzo Gee cools off in ugly loss
Alonzo Gee had just four points, five rebounds, four assists, zero steals and a block in Tuesday's 115-90 loss to the Spurs.

Sun Apr 1 201202:40Alonzo Gee going through a very rough patch
Alonzo Gee is shooting 27.8 percent from the field over the past six games.
Gee's confidence seems rattled and it doesn't help that teams are focusing on him given the Cavs' lack of alternatives, especially while Kyrie Irving nurses his sprained shoulder. Over the past two weeks he's only provided 15th-round fantasy value (nine-cat).

Alonzo Gee scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds, two assists, and a steal in Friday's blowout loss.
We've gotten a few drop questions about Gee lately, but he's going to be locked and loaded into minutes and his 35 percent field goal shooting over the past two weeks will improve. We're still calling him a must-own player in 12-team formats.

Alonzo Gee cooled off to score just three points on Wednesday, but still came through with nine rebounds, four assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer.
He'll score more than this on most nights, as he hit just 1-of-6 shots, and played 35 minutes. He's been filling stat sheets for several weeks now, and is nearly a must-own player in any fantasy league.

The Cavaliers want Alonzo Gee to develop his perimeter and face-up game this summer.
"[Gee] can always go back to his natural ability of being able to post up guys," said coach Byron Scott. Alonzo Gee came through with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four steals, a block and a 3-pointer on 7-of-12 shooting in Wednesday's win.
Wow. He's started in three straight games and is averaging 17 points, five rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.6 3-pointers over that stretch. If you're in a deep league and looking for a spark, Gee could stick as the starting small forward the rest of the way, and has been productive for most of the season.
