Moore has exclusively played first base in the minor leagues, but the Nationals want to test his versatility. Nationals purchased the contract of 1B Tyler Moore from Double-A Harrisburg. | ||||||
The move protects him from December's Rule 5 Draft. Moore, 24, clubbed 31 homers this season with Double-A Harrisburg, equaling his total from 2010 with High-A Potomac in the Carolina League. The righty-hitting slugger will likely begin next season at the Triple-A level. | ||||||
