Gonzalez hit third Monday for the third time in the last five games, a nod to his recent hitting. He is hitting .350 in his last 20 games, and is 12-for-15 in September. He hit third in 11 of the first 14 games before moving down after a slow start. "It's been a little bit of rough sledding for him this year," manager Bud Black said. "It looks as though now he is making a strong push to get back to his norm. I think there is a renewed confidence in his offense, from his standpoint and for all of us. We are seeing good things.
