Vogelsong struck out one and walked five while giving up four runs on six hits over 3.2 innings against Arizona on Saturday night.
The D-backs have been one of the better offenses in the National League this season, but Vogelsong is typically a viable streaming option when he starts at AT&T Park. Those days may be over, however, as he's toting a 4.81 ERA and 1.43 WHIP this season through 13 appearances (11 starts).

Vogelsong surrendered five runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings in Sunday's loss to the Phillies. He struck out five and walked two.
Vogelsong streak of great starts ended Sunday after going 3-1 with a 1.67 ERA over his last six outings. Those numbers were usable in most fantasy formats, but his overall stats (4.52 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) suggest that he is simply a deep league option.

Vogelsong struck out five and walked two while giving up four runs -- three earned -- on five hits over six innings in a losing effort Monday against the Pirates.
While the outing was hardly a gem, Vogelsong continues to get much better results at home (2.25 ERA) than on the road (6.21 ERA) thanks in large part to the cavernous tendencies of AT&T Park. He'll face the Phillies on the road in his next scheduled start Sunday.

Vogelsong gave up one run on six hits, walking none and striking out five over six innings, in a win over the Brewers on Tuesday.
Since serving up four home runs in Los Angeles back on Apr. 29, Vogelsong has been lights out, allowing four earned runs on 21 hits -- just one home run -- with a 21:9 K:BB in five May starts (31.2 innings). He's earned a win in each of his last three starts, all of which have come on the road. Vogelsong will return home for his next start Monday against the Pirates.

Vogelsong (calf) has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Vogelsong was forced from his last start due to a minor calf issue, but the setback will not prevent him from taking the mound Wednesday. Vogelsong was hit hard in April, but he has been stellar this month, going 3-0 and posting a 1.05 ERA in 25.2 innings over four starts.

Vogelsong pushed his record to 3-2 in Friday's victory against the Rockies, tossing six shutout innings while giving up two hits and three walks. He was forced to leave the game after tweaking his calf while recording the final out of the sixth inning, but isn't expected to miss his next start, the Associated Press reports.
Those who had the guts to roll out Vogelsong in the Coors Field start were rewarded handsomely, as the right-hander didn't allow any Rockies to advance past second base. It doesn't sound like the injury is anything to worry about, as there's a good possibility Vogelsong would have pulled after six innings regardless of his health with his pitch count at 95. He'll presumably be at full strength the next time his turn comes around Wednesday in Milwaukee.

Vogelsong picked up a win on Saturday, going 5.2 innings and allowing just two runs in the 11-2 win over the Reds.
Vogelsong struggled a bit with his control, allowing four walks and six hits in his 5.2 innings. He was cruising until the sixth inning, where he allowed his two runs, and the bullpen bailed him out with guys left on second and third. The start is promising though as he has struggled this season to the tune of a 5.31 ERA. Vogelsong has the nightmare matchup in his next start on Thursday when he travels to Coors Field to take on the Rockies.

Vogelsong was excellent again on Sunday as he allowed just one run across seven innings, striking out five, scattering four hits and walking not a single Malins hitter.
After a miserable start to the season Vogelsong has hit his stride of late, tossing three quality starts in his last four outings. His ERA still sits at an ugly 5.67 on the season, but he will carry this recent momentum into his next scheduled start against the Reds on Saturday.

Vogelsong (1-2) turned in his best performance of the season Tuesday, tossing seven innings of shutout ball while striking out four in the win over the Padres.
It was hard to see this magnificent start coming after Vogelsong was hammered by these very Padres on April 11. He was definitely aided by the cold San Francisco night, as he surrendered almost twice as many flyouts than groundouts Tuesday. Vogelsong's next start is a favorable matchup at home against the Marlins, but he has been too inconsistent this season to trust in all but the deepest leagues.

Vogelsong lasted only three innings, giving up six runs on five hits and a walk to go with two strikeouts against the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Vogelsong gave up first inning home runs to Joc Pederson, Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier, then gave up a solo shot to Jimmy Rollins in the third. It was the second time in 146 major league starts that Vogelsong surrendered four homers in a game. He did it on September 3, 2014, in a 9-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field. Vogelsong, who replaced Jake Peavy in the rotation, will be back on the mound in his next scheduled start Tuesday against the Padres.
Sun Apr 26 201515:06Vogelsong at risk of having next scheduled start skipped
Vogelsong is at risk of having his next scheduled start skipped, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Vogelsong was originally pencilled in for a Wednesday start, but after Sunday's postponement, manager Bruce Bochy will push his entire rotation forward a day. This could leave Vogelsong on the chopping block, but the team has yet to make an official announcement.

Vogelsong gave up two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five in six innings Thursday in a no-decision against the Dodgers.
Vogelsong had his first quality start of the season, but he left the game in the sixth inning with a 0-2 deficit after giving up solo shots to Alex Guerrero and Adrian Gonzalez. His next scheduled start will be Tuesday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Wed Apr 22 201519:54Vogelsong will get start Thursday against Dodgers
Vogelsong will get the start Thursday against the Dodgers, Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times reports.
Vogelsong will make the start over the other candidate, Yusmeiro Petit, on Thursday and could remain in the rotation while Jake Peavy is on the disabled list.

Either Vogelsong or Yusmeiro Petit will start Thursday's game against the Dodgers, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Whoever gets the start might get multiple looks with Jake Peavy going on the DL.

Vogelsong was used in long-relief of Madison Bumgarner on Saturday, giving up five runs (four earned) on nine hits over 3.2 innings. He walked one and struck out two.
After Bumgarner was chased from Saturday's game, Vogelsong came in to the game simply to eat up innings. By using Vogelsong in this role, it has all but guaranteed that rookie pitcher, Chris Heston, will get the start on Monday.

Vogelsong allowed six earned runs in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, giving up two home runs and six hits in 4.2 innings.
This was the most earned runs Vogelsong had allowed in a game since May of 2013 when he gave up six earned runs in a game. He's coming off a year in which he struck out 7.36 batters per nine innings and had an ERA of 4.00,, which was the third lowest of any season in his 10-year career.
Mon Apr 6 201520:27Vogelsong will start Tuesday's game
Vogelsong will start Tuesday's game, CSN Bay Area's Amy Gutierrez reports.
He gets the ball after Jake Peavy was scratched with a back issue. In other news, Matt Cain is experiencing forearm tightness, which is often a precursor for Tommy John surgery, so there seem to be some weak spots in the Giants' rotation to stat the season. Vogelsong was stretched out this spring as a precaution as Tim Lincecum was also ailing, so look for him to be able to pitch fairly deep into Tuesday's game.

Vogelsong will be stretched out as a precaution in case Tim Lincecum (back) isn't ready to begin the season, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Vogelsong's spot in the rotation is tentative, and Yusmeiro Petit will also be stretched out. The news doesn't add much fantasy value, but if Lincecum's injury ends up costing him extended time, it could.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Vogelsong will enter spring training as a reliever, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
It was previously suggested that Vogelsong would get a chance to compete with Tim Lincecum for the final rotation spot after re-signing with the team late last month, but Bochy revealed Wednesday that Vogelsong will work out of the bullpen alongside Yusmeiro Petit in camp. Bochy did say it is a "workable situation," suggesting Lincecum will have to perform to keep the job, but it appears Vogelsong is currently penciled in for the swingman role.
Fri Jan 23 201511:28Vogelsong agreed to one-year contract with Giants on Friday
Vogelsong agreed to a one-year contract with the Giants on Friday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
Vogelsong's signing crowds the Giants' starting rotation, but it also provides the team with some insurance with both Matt Cain (elbow) and Tim Hudson (ankle) coming off injuries, and Tim Lincecum coming off another sub-par season. Assuming everyone is healthy by Opening Day, Vogelsong and Lincecum -- and possibly even Yusmeiro Petit -- figure to compete for the fifth spot in the rotation.
