Wed Dec 1 202120:04Paul George, Nicolas Batum Out For Wednesday’s Game
Los Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George (rest) and power forward Nicolas Batum will be unavailable for Wednesday's contest against Sacramento. George's absence marks his first of the season, yet it comes at a curious time with the Clippers set for a weekend back-to-back vs. the Lakers and Kings on Friday and Saturday, respectively. In addition to averaging a gaudy stat line of 25.9 points, 7.3 boards and 5.1 assists on a nightly basis, George's 22 field-goal attempts per game leads the league. With that in mind, all healthy Clippers will garner added DFS appeal Wednesday, as there will ample shots to go around. Batum remains in the league's health and safety protocols, and when he might return is unknown.

Tue Nov 30 202109:51Paul George Continues To Rack Up Turnovers
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George had a good 27-point effort on 10-for-20 shooting in Monday's loss to New Orleans, but he also registered seven turnovers. He's now had 15 turnovers in total across his last two games. George was 3-for-10 with the three-ball Monday night and his line included three rebounds, three assists and one steal. With two meetings against Sacramento coming up, George is set for a big week, but he'll hopefully sort out his ball-handling in the upcoming games.

Sun Nov 28 202119:11Paul George Returns To Form With A 30-Point Effort
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George produced a good bounce-back performance, at least scoring-wise, on Sunday against the Warriors, recording a team-high 30 points on 11-for-24 shooting in a 105-90 loss. He shot 3-for-7 from outside and had five rebounds and five assists but also ended up matching his career high with eight turnovers. George had been limited to just 12 points in his previous outing against Detroit. The Warriors have been immense on the defensive end this season, so this was far from an easy matchup for George, but he still ended up delivering his sixth 30-point performance of the season. The next matchups against New Orleans and Sacramento are much more favorable spots to perform, as both teams sit in the bottom-five in defensive efficiency.

Sun Nov 21 202119:35Paul George Goes For 29 Points In Sunday's Win
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George had a game-high 29 points on 12-for-25 shooting as the team took down Dallas 97-91 on Sunday. He nailed three triples with eight attempts and tallied four rebounds and six assists with one steal and six turnovers in 38 minutes. The turnovers were an ugly sight, but George had thrown away the ball just twice in his previous two games, so we can let it slide. He's a usage monster this season in L.A., with Kawhi Leonard (knee) on the shelf, and these things happen. PG13 can shine against the Mavs again on Tuesday and will then find himself in a very good spot to perform versus Detroit on Friday.

Fri Nov 19 202108:28Paul George Has 23 Points With Five Triples
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George had a 23-point performance in Thursday's loss to the Grizzlies, shooting a nice 5-for-9 from downtown and 9-for-18 overall from the field. He led the team in scoring and in assists, handing out six dimes. PG13 also collected five rebounds and swatted away one shot in 31 minutes on the floor. This was a very efficient performance from George, but sadly the Clippers couldn't hang with Memphis and thus we didn't get to see George going off. However, he should now be pretty fresh for Friday's very favorable matchup against the Pelicans, who have by far the worst defensive efficiency in the league.

Wed Nov 17 202104:57Paul George Gets To The Free-Throw Line 13 Times
In a 106-92 win over San Antonio, Clippers forward Paul George led his team to score 34 points. In 34 minutes, he also added nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two three-pointers. The All-NBA talent only shot 10-for-24 from the field and 2-for-9 from deep, but he got to the line 13 times. In addition, he made 12 of his 13 free throws, and it marks the third time in seven games he drew double-digit freebies. If he can combine that aggression with the shot-making ability, the ceiling is there for PG13 to grab the No. 1 spot in fantasy. He's sixth right now, so managers shouldn't complain, but it does feel like there is room for George to go even higher in the 2021-22 campaign.

Mon Nov 15 202109:22Paul George Leads Team In Points And Rebounds
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George led the team with 27 points and 11 rebounds in Sunday's 100-90 home loss against the Bulls, going 7-for-25 from the field and 11-for-11 at the line. He added four assists to his tally with one steal, one block and three turnovers in 41 minutes. PG13 shot bricks all night here and ended up going 2-for-10 with the three-ball. It's a minor miracle how he got to 20-plus points. Efficiency has been a problem for George all month, and he's now shooting below 42 percent from the field for November. He has a pair of great matchups to look for form this week against Memphis and New Orleans, but Tuesday's meeting with the Spurs could bring more frustration for George. San Antonio has done well defensively this season and George averaged just 20.5 points against them last season with 39 percent shooting.

Mon Nov 8 202105:39Paul George Does It All In Comeback Win
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George spurred his team to a comeback victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Across 38 minutes, George added 20 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, two three-pointers, and a block as he just fell shy of his fifth double-double this year. The 20 points were his lowest scoring output since Oct. 28, but he made up for it with his contributions in the other categories. PG13 is a high-usage, high-minutes stud for fantasy and is a lock to be a top-five player moving forward. The Clippers play four games this week against some struggling defenses, so George will be a fantastic option in DFS as well.

Sat Nov 6 202111:34Paul George Posts 21-11-6 Line On Friday
Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard/small forward Paul George had a rough shooting night in the team's victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. He went 4-for-20 from the field in the game, including 0-for-7 from three-point range. However, he managed to reach the free throw line consistently in the game and he knocked down 13 of his 14 attempts from the strike. Apart from his inefficient shooting and six turnovers, he wound up with a solid game overall, compiling 21 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and three steals. His usage has been through the roof so far this year and he's currently second in the league in scoring, averaging 27.9 points per game.

Thu Nov 4 202108:52Paul George Stays Hot Wednesday Night
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George led the charge on Wednesday with 32 points on 11-for-18 shooting as the team scored a season-high 126 points in a road win over Minnesota. He was 4-for-8 from downtown and 6-for-6 at the line with six rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block. It was a great night for PG13, although he hurt his fantasy line with eight turnovers in 36 minutes. George has been giving defenders major headaches in recent games, averaging 35.3 points a night in his last three outings. He has a chance to shine against Minnesota again on Friday before taking on Charlotte and Portland. The Clippers will meet a couple of poor defenses in these matchups and the matchup with the Hornets is also a very good pace-up spot.

Tue Nov 2 202110:12Paul George Leads Clippers To Win With Second-Half Explosion
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George led his team to a win over the Thunder on Monday night. George got off to a rough, 1-for-9 start from the field but exploded for 27 points in the second half, including two late threes to seal the victory over his former team. The two-way star finished the night with 32 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five threes, and three steals in 40 minutes. George looks poised to make a run at the MVP award in a massive usage role with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined, so fantasy managers can set it and forget it when it comes to PG13.

Sat Oct 30 202108:45Paul George Explodes For Season-High 42 Points And Six Threes
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George scored 42 of his team's 92 points in Friday's loss to the Trail Blazers. George's season-high scoring effort saw him shoot 15-for-24 from the field and 6 of 9 from deep, as the triples were also a season-high. The 31-year-old forward added eight rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal in 34 minutes of action. George owns the league's fourth-highest usage rate sans Kawhi Leonard and should continue to pace the Clippers in most counting stats as by far their best player. George will get a chance for revenge against his former team, the Thunder, on Monday.

Thu Oct 28 202108:31Paul George Shoots Just 6-For-20 In Loss To Cavaliers
Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard/small forward Paul George had a rough night shooting the ball in the team's 92-79 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. He went 6-for-20 from the field overall and he was 0-for-8 from three-point range. He still managed to compile a decent all-around stat line as he racked up 12 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and an assist. George's usage rate has been way up so far this year. He's averaging 21.0 field goal attempts per game, a significant increase from last year (17.6). He's also been a menace on the defensive end with 16 steals in four games. His next game will be a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Tue Oct 26 202109:12Paul George Snatches Eight Steals In Win Over Portland

Facing the Portland Trail Blazers, George tallied 16 points, five assists, one block and a whopping eight steals. He shot 6-for-16 from the field and 2-for-8 from three-point range in the game. George is off to a great start to the season. He hit a total of 10 three-pointers over his first two games and he's been contributing across the board as he's now averaging 28.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game through three games. His next game will be against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Sun Oct 24 202109:03Paul George Racks Up 41 Points In Losing Effort
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George hit five treys with 12 attempts and recorded a game-high 41 points in a 120-114 loss to Memphis on Saturday. He was 15-for-25 overall from the field and shot a perfect 6-for-6 at the charity stripe. George was also the best rebounder in the game with 10 boards and added four assists to his line with two steals and three turnovers in 35 minutes. PG13 is off to a great start to the season with back-to-back double-doubles and very efficient shooting. He'll look to go off again on Monday against a Portland team that tends to have defensive lapses. George shot 58 percent against the Blazers last season and averaged over 30 points in the matchup.

Fri Oct 22 202109:16Paul George Goes For 29 And 11 In Season Debut
Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard/small forward Paul George had a big game in a losing effort against the Golden State Warriors in the team's season opener. He shot 12-for-23 from the field on the way to a team-high 29 points. He hit five three-pointers and also added 11 rebounds, six assists and a steal while committing three turnovers. George is slated to have a massive usage rate this year with Kawhi Leonard (knee) likely out for the entirety of the season. Last year, George averaged 23.3 points per game while attempting 17.6 field goals per game. There's a good chance we see both of those numbers increase significantly this year as he'll frequently need to put the Clippers on his back.

Thu Jul 1 202118:45Clippers await Leonard's decision on contract option
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers’ season began in an empty arena with cardboard cutouts, COVID-19 tests, and protocols for everything. It ended with the team reaching the Western Conference finals for the first time in franchise history, even without injured superstar Kawhi Leonard. A masked Leonard watched from the bench as the Clippers lost to the Phoenix Suns in six games on Wednesday night. “Man, we just had a group of guys that loved playing with each other. Everyone was on the same page,” center Ivica Zubac said Thursday. The Clippers overcame 0-2 deficits in the first two rounds to beat Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks and Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz. Leonard sprained his right knee in Game 4 against the Jazz and didn't play again. Zubac also injured his knee and was forced to sit out the final two games against the Suns. The Clippers trailed that series 0-2 and 1-3 before closing to 3-2 and eventually running out of gas. Through the injuries, Paul George kept... [More]
Sun Jun 27 202102:08Fatigued Clippers find themselves staring at 3-1 deficit
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers have pulled off their share of comebacks during this year's postseason. They might have hit the wall during their marathon run. Los Angeles — playing its 17th game in 36 days — lost 84-80 to the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals. The Clippers have been down 2-0 in each of their series this postseason, but are staring at a 3-1 deficit for the first time with Game 5 set for Monday night in Phoenix. “We’ve been down before. It’s tough. We’ve had our backs against the wall and we’ve been in elimination games,” said Reggie Jackson, who scored 20 points. The Clippers rallied from a 16-point deficit in the third quarter to get within one, but couldn't complete the comeback. They went 0 for 12 from the floor with a chance to tie or take the lead, which is the worst shooting stretch over the past 25 postseasons, according to ESPN Stats & Information. LA got within 71-70 with 10:11 remaining on... [More]
Thu Jun 17 202121:26Clippers' Leonard listed as out for Friday's Game 6 vs. Utah
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard is officially out Friday night for Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz, but coach Tyronn Lue did not have any update on if it will be longer. Leonard sprained his right knee Monday night in a Game 4 win. He traveled with the Clippers to Salt Lake City, Lue said, then returned to Los Angeles for further testing. A sprain, by definition, is a ligament injury, but the Clippers have not said which of the four knee ligaments he injured. Despite missing Leonard, LA took a 3-2 series lead on Wednesday night with a 119-111 victory behind 37 points from Paul George. The Clippers are 12-9 without their All-Star forward this season, including 1-0 in the playoffs. Leonard — a two-time NBA Finals MVP — is averaging 30.4 points in the playoffs. The Clippers will be looking to close out the series and advance to the conference finals for the first time in the franchise’s 51-year history with a win. The Jazz need a victory... [More]
Thu Jun 17 202118:16Top seeds 76ers, Jazz facing elimination games in semifinals
ATLANTA (AP) — The NBA's top playoff seeds, Philadelphia and Utah, are on the brink of being eliminated. The 76ers have blown leads of 18 and 26 points in back-to-back losses to the Atlanta Hawks, who now lead the Eastern Conference semifinal series 3-2. Atlanta, the No. 5 seed, can clinch the series at home on Friday night after storming back for an improbable 109-106 win on Wednesday night in Philadelphia. “Our backs are against the wall right now and we have to play like it,” said Philadelphia's Tobias Harris. Seth Curry said the 76ers should not have psychological scars from losing big leads in back-to-back losses. “It shouldn’t,” Curry said. “We’re grown men over here. Watch the film and learn from it and bounce back.” Led by Trae Young, the Hawks are attempting to advance to a conference final for only the second time since moving to Atlanta in 1968. The Hawks were swept by Cleveland in the 2015 conference final. The Hawks won their only NBA championship in 1958, when the team was... [More]
