Sat Dec 7 201320:23Quincy Pondexter starts for Tony Allen
Quincy Poxdexter will move into the starting lineup for the injured Tony Allen (hip).
He is playing a little out of position against the Warriors tonight, but Jerryd Bayless guarding Klay Thompson seems like a scary thought. Pondexter has his fair share of DNP-CDs, but he scored 15 points on Thursday with Allen out and might be able to crack double-figure scoring again. He's off the radar in standard leagues.

Sat Nov 30 201323:08Quincy Pondexter busts out in loss
Quincy Pondexter got hot in the fourth quarter against the Nets on Saturday, finishing with 22 points, one assist and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes.
He scored 14 points in a row for the Grizzlies at the end of the third and the start of the fourth. Pondexter had back-to-back DNP-CDs coming into this game, so there's little reason to pick him up based on a five-minute outburst.

Sat Nov 16 201304:14Pondexter returns from broken nose
Quincy Pondexter returned to action on Friday after suffering a broken nose earlier in the week, scoring six points on 3-of-6 shooting with six rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes.
Pondexter has been on the outside looking in at most fantasy leagues, and his return will help limit the value of Mike Miller and Tony Allen.

Thu Nov 14 201310:14Pondexter (nose) aiming for weekend return
Quincy Pondexter (broken nose) had his nose reset and is targeting a weekend return.
The Grizzlies play Friday and Sunday, so we'll be monitoring which day the Grizzlies expect Pondexter to return. He hasn't scored more than eight points in a game during the month of November, however, so the fourth-year player's fantasy value is quite limited -- especially now that Jerryd Bayless has returned to action.

Wed Nov 13 201314:53Quincy Pondexter will not play on Monday
Quincy Pondexter (broken nose) will not play against the Raptors on Wednesday.
He did not return from suffering his broken nose on Monday and the Grizzlies keeping him out of the lineup suggests that putting a mask on their small forward won't be enough. Mike Miller and Tayshaun Prince should pick up most of Pondexter's 14.4 minutes per game.

Thu Oct 31 201316:59Quincy Pondexter earns extension from Memphis
The Grizzlies extended Quincy Pondexter's contract on Thursday.
Details haven't been announced but it was expected to be a four-year extension. Q-Pon led Memphis from beyond the arc last year, hitting 39.5 percent of his 3-pointers, which was critical for a team that ranked dead last in that department during 2012-13.

Thu Oct 31 201309:16Quincy Pondexter to sign four-year extension
Quincy Pondexter is expected to sign a four-year extension with the Grizzlies before Thursday's deadline.
It would seem as if the third-year player can finally hire a real estate agent, as he'll be calling the Memphis area home for the next four years barring a trade. While Pondexter has carved out an important bench role for the Grizz, he's not much of a fantasy option in anything but the deepest of leagues for now.

Wed Oct 23 201323:00Quincy Pondexter still starting for Prince
Quincy Pondexter made another start at small forward on Wednesday as Tayshaun Prince continues to sit with a mysterious illness.
Pondexter had four points, three boards, two dimes and a steal in 26 minutes, and hasn't exactly been tearing it up. But if Prince continues to miss time, or suffers an injury, QP could be worth a look on the waiver wire at some point.

Tue Oct 15 201323:30Quincy Pondexter blows up for 24 points
Quincy Pondexter got a start on Tuesday and had 24 points, four rebounds and two 3-pointers on 9-of-14 shooting in a preseason win over the Bucks.
Zach Randolph was resting and Tayshaun Prince was out with an illness, so this very well may go down as QP's best game of the year.

Tue May 28 201300:02Pondexter the surprise in Game 4 loss
Quincy Pondexter scored a team-high 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds and two steals in the Grizzlies' 93-86 Game 4 loss on Monday.
The Spurs funneled action toward Pondexter and he responded on offense tonight, but this game was about the Grizzlies' big men getting completely outclassed and the other role players getting shut out. Marc Gasol lumbered about with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting to go with five boards, five assists, one steal and three blocks, as both he and Zach Randolph (13 points, 4-of-13 FGs, eight boards, one steal, one block) played much worse than the stats suggested.

Sun May 19 201318:00Quincy Pondexter scores team-high 17 points
Quincy Pondexter scored a team-high 17 points with one board and five 3-pointers in 29 minutes vs. the Spurs on Sunday.
He got hot in the third quarter and made the game close, but San Antonio responded with a 10-2 run to put the game out of reach. Pondexter had been fairly quiet in the playoffs with just 6.5 points per game, which is just a shade above his regular-season average of 6.4. He hit 5-of-9 from beyond the arc and chances are is that this will be his best game of the playoffs.

Mon Mar 25 201322:20Quincy Pondexter scores 14 with four 3s
Quincy Pondexter scored 14 points off the bench on Monday, adding five boards, one steal and four 3-pointers in a 107-94 loss to the Wizards.
He scored just 2.2 points per game in his previous five, so this line comes out of nowhere. The Grizzlies need some bodies to help fill the void left by Marc Gasol's 35.2 minutes per game, so he's on the radar in deeper leagues.

Thu Mar 7 201309:21Quincy Pondexter plays 22 minutes Wednesday

Pondexter was questionable coming into the game but wound up playing nearly half of the action despite feeling under the weather.

Wed Mar 6 201319:00Quincy Pondexter questionable due to illness
Quincy Pondexter has food poisoning and is questionable to play Wednesday night.
The Grizzlies are already down Zach Randolph and Darrell Arthur, so losing Pondexter would put coach Lionel Hollins in a bit of a bind. If Pondexter can't play, look for Austin Daye and Ed Davis to get a lot more minutes.

Thu Feb 28 201301:43Quincy Pondexter challenging Tayshaun Prince
Quincy Pondexter hit 3-of-4 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, one rebound and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
Starter Tayshaun Prince also played 26 minutes, but had just four points and eight rebounds on 2-of-8 shooting. The Grizzlies seem to be content starting the veteran Prince right now, but Pondexter had been getting 18 minutes a night since returning from a sprained MCL in his knee. He's starting to come on a bit, and owners in very deep leagues should probably put him on their radar.

Tue Feb 19 201323:15Quincy Pondexter returns to action Tuesday
Quincy Pondexter returned from a knee injury on Tuesday and had 10 points, three rebounds, three steals, a block and a 3-pointer in 22 minutes.
This was a nice game for QP, but he'd have to do this several more times before we'd think about picking him up.

Tue Feb 12 201318:58Quincy Pondexter out until after break
Quincy Pondexter, who played on Sunday after missing five weeks with an MCL sprain, will not play again until after the All-Star break.
The Grizzlies are apparently concerned they may be rushing him back to early, so QP will be in street clothes until next week.

Sun Feb 10 201321:38Quincy Pondexter (knee) returns vs. Wolves
Quincy Pondexter returned on Sunday after missing more than five weeks of action with a sprained MCL, going scoreless in four minutes off the bench.
Lionel Hollins said he wasn't going to deploy Pondexter tonight, but wound up giving him some burn in the first half. Q-Pon hasn't played since Dec. 29 but he also didn't require surgery, so we expect to see him in early-season form after the All-Star break. The Grizzlies' bench has thinned out and Pondexter is shooting 42.3 percent from downtown this season, so he's worth keeping an eye on.

Sat Feb 9 201315:11Pondexter back at full-contact practice
Quincy Pondexter (knee) was back at full-contact practice on Saturday.
He could return as soon as Sunday, but Tuesday's game seems to be a more realistic expectation. QP is a good fit with Rudy Gay now in Toronto and 24 minutes per game could be within his grasp. Although, owners in deep leagues should see how it plays out at almost any depth and Tayshaun Prince should also be viewed as a hold for now. Jerryd Bayless has been consistent and figures to be the best option on the wing for Memphis.
