Zimmer will undergo surgery at the New York Hand and Wrist Center. The Indians say there is no timetable for Zimmer's return. Zimmer, who was called up from Triple-A Columbus in the middle of May, hit .241 with eight home runs and 39 RBIs. Zimmer, a center fielder, leads all AL rookies with eight outfield assists, and he is tied with Boston OF Andrew Benintendi for most stolen bases by a rookie, with 18.
