Jefferson scored 20 points (9-23 FG, 2-2 FT) and added 12 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes of effort on Friday against the 76ers.
Jefferson continues to produce, yet he is producing less than he did last year. His minutes are virtually the same - he is averaging 33 minutes per game this season and he averaged 35 minutes per game last year. His regression is likely due to the slow start of the Hornets, who are underperforming as a whole this season despite the free agent acquisition of Lance Stephenson.

Jefferson scored 28 points (13-22 FG, 2-2 Ft) with 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in 36 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Suns.
It's his eighth double-double of the season, but Jefferson managed just 22 boards in the three games since his last one. His rebounding average remains his lowest since he became a full-time starter nine seasons ago.

Jefferson scored 23 points (9-15 FG, 5-6 FT) with 14 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 36 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Celtics.
It's his second straight double-double, and seventh of the season. Jefferson's numbers, particularly his rebounding, have been down so far this season as the Hornets adjust to having Lance Stephenson in the lineup, but at least for a couple of nights against weak front courts, Jefferson looked like the dominating center he was last year.

Jefferson scored 21 points (9-19 FG, 3-3 FT), with 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 35 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
What can you say about Jefferson? He's simply a double-double machine, and is one of the top fantasy centers in the game currently.

Jefferson scored 16 points (7-14 FG, 2-4 FT) to go along with nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 32 minutes Monday against the Clippers.
Jefferson is starting to pick things up on the boards as he is averaging 10.7 rebounds over his last three games. Although he's only at 7.5 rebounds per game this season, expect to see that average rise.

Jefferson scored 28 points (12-22 FG, 4-4 FT) in a loss to the Pacers on Wednesday.
Jefferson has now scored 20 or more points in all but five of his games this season. The big man led the Hornets in scoring Wednesday, in addition to pulling down eight rebounds and blocking a shot.
Fri Nov 7 201422:35Jefferson left Friday's game with cramps
Jefferson left Friday's game with cramps, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
He finished with 34 points, nine boards, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 41 minutes. The game went into double overtime, and Jefferson probably played more minutes than Charlotte would typically intend. It probably won't be something that affects his status for Sunday's game, but it's something worth monitoring.

Jefferson scored a game-high 28 points (13-25 FG, 2-5 FT) with 10 rebounds and three blocks in 32 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Heat.
It's his second double-double of the season, and it helped snap Charlotte's 16-game losing streak against Miami. Jefferson may not be required to shoulder as big a load on offense this season given the Hornets' roster upgrades, but he'll still be one of the best available fantasy options at center.

Jefferson scored 19 points (8-19 FG, 3-4 FT) to go along with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four blocks in 38 minutes during the Hornets' 71-69 loss versus the Grizzlies on Saturday.
That's eight blocks in two games thus far for Big Al, and though that average is going to be much closer to his 1.3 blocks per game career average, he should continue to be a solid double-double threat as long as he's able to stay healthy. The Hornets are a much different team from last year, but Jefferson is still their go-to-guy offensively, and he should again be a fantastic fantasy option in 2014-15.

Jefferson scored 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-3 FT) with 10 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Wednesday's OT win over the Bucks.
It should be the first of many double-doubles for Jefferson this season, although with an improved roster around him and more players competing for touches he may not be able to match last year's scoring pace.

Jefferson will not play Monday against the Hawks.
The veteran will take the night off to rest on the second half of a back-to-back. Jefferson had 12 points and eight rebounds in 32 minutes Sunday against Chicago.

Jefferson enters training camp devoid of the torn plantar fascia that impacted him in April's first-round playoff sweep at the hands of the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports.
After suffering the injury in the postseason opener, 3-to-4 months passed before the majority of symptoms subsided. Although he's healed, Jefferson still experiences tightness in his left foot each morning, which is a normal aftereffect of such an ailment. He enters his second year in Charlotte as the unquestioned starting center, which should result in 35 minutes per game and near-nightly double-doubles once again.
Sun Jul 27 201421:55Al Jefferson skipped Team USA to rest foot
Al Jefferson (plantar fasciitis) declined to join Team USA this summer in order to allow his foot to completely heal.
"I was contacted, but I was just trying to focus on getting my foot healed and getting ready for upcoming season," said Jefferson. He has been practicing without pain since early June, so his decision to skip the FIBA World Cup seems almost entirely a precautionary move to limit the wear-and-tear on his body. Charlotte finished 7th in the Eastern Conference last year and they'll look to get a higher seed with Lance Stephenson aboard this season.

Sun Jul 20 201409:57Al Jefferson: 'I'm excited about Lance'
Al Jefferson is excited to be playing alongside Lance Stephenson.
"I'm excited about Lance," Jefferson said. "We're all going to be on the same page as far as defense, and defense dictates the offense. But Lance is a playmaker. That's the reason he led the NBA in triple-doubles last year. He's got this nastiness about his game that you want on your team. I was really excited to hear he signed with us and he wanted to do that. I think he's got a lot to prove, and he wants to show people he can be a great superstar in this league." Stephenson is set to have big year in Charlotte.

Wed Jun 11 201413:46Al Jefferson recruiting free agents to CHA
Hornets coach Steve Clifford believes that Al Jefferson's presence will help the team lure free agents to Charlotte this summer.
"He's dramatically changed where we're at as a franchise from one year to the next," Clifford said about his All-NBA center. "He's made this a more attractive place for people to come and play. No question about that." Jefferson said that he's already recruiting free agents and owner Michael Jordan may be ready to splurge for key acquisitions to help his team improve upon their 43-39 record from the 2013-14 season, which ended with a first-round loss to the Heat.

Wed Jun 4 201420:34Al Jefferson said he is no longer in pain
Al Jefferson (foot) said he's no longer in pain from his plantar fascia injury.
He was back at practice on Wednesday after missing Game 4 of the first round back on Apr. 28. Jefferson bookended his 2013-14 with an ankle injury to start his season, but he went on a terrific 73-game run during his first season with the Bobcats. He'll be one of the first big men off the board in fantasy leagues next season.

Tue Jun 3 201411:32Al Jefferson (foot) back to practice court
Al Jefferson (plantar fasciitis) is back to practicing after being shut down during the playoffs.
Jefferson had been on a regimen of rest and riding a stationary bike since the end of April, but was spotted on the practice floor on Tuesday morning. Big Al had a great first season with the Bobcats in averaging 21.8 points, 10.8 boards, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks and should be considered one of the top centers in fantasy going into 2014-15 drafts once he's fully healthy.

Tue May 20 201414:16Bobcats officially change back to Hornets
The Charlotte Bobcats officially changed their mascot back to the Hornets on Friday.
The Bobcats era is over after 10 seasons (2004-2014). Although there is no real significant history to speak of, all the statistics of the Bobcats and the 1998-2002 Hornets will remain with Charlotte. The team also plans to unveil their new jerseys on June 19th.

Tue Apr 29 201412:37Al Jefferson told to rest for two weeks
Al Jefferson (foot) has been told that he will be fine after resting for two weeks and then riding a stationary bike for two weeks.
Jefferson has plenty of time to get over his plantar fasciitis now that the Bobcats are out of the playoffs, so he shouldn't have any trouble sticking to this timetable over the next month. Jefferson put together a solid campaign in his first season in Charlotte with averages of 21.8 points, 10.8 boards, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks. With a full offseason to recover, Jefferson should have no trouble again finishing as a Top 30 fantasy player and could even break his way into the Top 20-25 if he can stay healthy all year.

Mon Apr 28 201417:20Al Jefferson (foot) will not play in Game 4
Al Jefferson (foot) will not play in Game 4 on Monday night vs. the Heat.
He was doubtful since the morning and coach Steve Clifford said his big man would have likely been out 2-3 weeks. They're down 3-0 due to Jefferson playing at way less than 100 percent and will likely get swept tonight. Jefferson also said earlier today that he doesn't expect to have off-season surgery on his ankle, which was a bigger problem earlier in the season. Bismack Biymobo figures to get the start while Cody Zeller and Anthony Tolliver could get more run.
