Jefferson (knee) scored 23 points (11-19 FG, 1-2 FT) with 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 35 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Nets.
After an awful game on Monday against the Bulls' frontcourt, Jefferson found the going a little easier against Brook Lopez. His knee likely won't be 100 percent until he gets a chance to rest, but with the Hornets still trying to keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race, Jefferson will continue to gut it out.
Wed Mar 25 201511:46Jefferson (knee) will play Wednesday against Nets
Jefferson (knee) will play Wednesday against the Nets, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Head coach Steve Clifford noted that he expects Jefferson's knee injury to be an issue for the rest of the season. This makes for a tricky fantasy situation, as Jefferson is one of the best low post scorers in the NBA, but he struggled to play through the ailment Monday, posting just three points and five rebounds. Daily players should probably avoid Jefferson until his price comes down a bit, and season long users could swap him out if there's a viable replacement, but it's likely he will have to stick in lineups.
Mon Mar 23 201522:43Al Jefferson: (Knee) Exits Early With Soreness
Jefferson exited Monday's game after just 24 minutes with soreness in his right knee.
Jefferson was dealing with the same knee issue ahead of Monday's game and it appears that his 24 minutes on the court further aggravated whatever he was dealing with in the first place. He should be considered day-to-day going into Wednesday's game against the Nets until the Hornets shed some light on the severity of Jefferson's re-injury.

Jefferson (knee) scored 10 points (5-11 FG) with seven rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes during Monday's blowout loss to the Jazz.
His knee seemed to be OK, and with the Hornets being out of the game before the first half was over, all their starters saw a smaller workload. Jefferson will have to battle against DeAndre Jordan and the Clippers on Tuesday, but assuming he doesn't have a setback he should be a little more productive.
Mon Mar 16 201519:44Al Jefferson: (Knee) Playing Monday
Jefferson (knee) will play his normal allotment of minutes Monday at Utah, the Charlotte Observer reports.
After missing Friday's game due to a right knee sprain, Jefferson took part in morning shootaround Monday and will subsequently make his return. For the season, he's logging a little more than 31 minutes per outing, which has fallen to 28 minutes nightly with only one double-double in his last five appearances.
Mon Mar 16 201513:45Al Jefferson: (Knee) Expected To Play Monday
Jefferson (knee) took part in morning shootaround Monday and is expected to play against the Jazz.
Jefferson didn't play Friday and was initially listed as questionable, but his presence at shootaround and the subsequent expected tag seem much more promising. While the team hasn't confirmed his status for the game, it should be updated at some point prior to the opening tip-off.
Sun Mar 15 201519:21Al Jefferson: (Knee) Questionable Monday
Jefferson (knee) is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Jazz.
Jefferson's status should be updated following Monday's morning shootaround. If he's unable to play, expect Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo to see added playing time against the Jazz.

Jefferson (knee) is considered day-to-day and will not play Friday against the Bulls.
Jefferson was initially diagnosed with a calf injury, but upon further evaluation the team discovered he actually has a sprained right knee. It appears he's escaped a major injury, but he could still miss a few games in the short-term. The Hornets hope to have him back for Monday's game in Utah.

Jefferson (calf) underwent an MRI and the results showed no structural damage, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Jefferson said he heard a "pop" in his calf during Wednesday's game, but judging from the MRI it appears he's avoided a major injury. That said, the team has already ruled him out for Friday's game, and he'll undergo further tests as the team seeks a diagnosis. Bismack Biyombo will start at center in Jefferson's place.
Thu Mar 12 201513:29Jefferson (calf) will not play Friday against Bulls
Jefferson (calf) will not play Friday against the Bulls.
Jefferson is without a diagnosis at this point, but he said he felt something "pop" in his calf during the third quarter of Wednesday's game, which is certainly not a good sign. He'll miss Friday's game and it would not be a surprise if he's held out in subsequent contests. His absence means Bismack Biyombo and Jason Maxiell should both see increased minutes, though neither player is a strong fantasy option.
Wed Mar 11 201522:12Al Jefferson: Feels "Pop" In Injured Calf
Head coach Steve Clifford said Jefferson felt something "pop" in his right calf when he left Wednesday's game, The Charlotte Observer reports.
This hardly clarifies as an official update on Jefferson's status, but Clifford's comments indicate Jefferson could be dealing with a serious injury. Expect an update on Jefferson's status as more details become available.
Wed Mar 11 201521:05Al Jefferson: (Calf) Questionable To Return Wednesday
Jefferson is questionable to return to Wednesday's contest against the Kings.
Jefferson limped off the court in the third quarter and immediately went to the locker room. As long as he's sidelined, Bismack Biyombo is poised to pick up the slack at center. Nevertheless, consider Jefferson questionable for Friday's game versus the Bulls.

Jefferson limped off the court and eventually to the locker during Wednesday's game versus the Kings, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Before his departure, Jefferson racked up nine points (4-9 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two blocks, one steal, and one assist in 24 minutes. The extent and nature of the ailment are unknown, as well as his potential return.

Jefferson scored 23 points (11-21 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal in 34 minutes during Friday's win over the Raptors.
It's his third double-double in the last four games. Jefferson is now averaging 17.2 points, 11.0 boards and 1.5 blocks in 13 February contests.

Jefferson scored 16 points (7-17 FG, 2-4 FT) with seven rebounds, a steal and a block in 33 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Bulls.
It was just the second time in February that Jefferson has failed to pull down double-digit rebounds, and he's now averaging 16.4 points, 11.3 boards and 1.4 blocks in eight games on the month.

Jefferson scored 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 FT) with 16 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.
This was Jefferson's 12th double-double in 36 games this season. He has been slightly below his best so far, but look for Jefferson to pick up his production with Kemba Walker out injured.

Jefferson will reenter the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Bismack Biyombo's right knee injury will sideline him through at least next week, affording Jefferson the opportunity to reclaim the starting center job. Despite seeing a reduction in minutes this season, Jefferson still has been a nightly threat for a double-double, averaging 17.4 points and 8.0 rebounds on the season. With the Hornets' frontcourt now thinned by injuries, look for his playing time (and counting stats) to climb slightly in the short term.
Sat Jan 24 201523:24Jefferson moved into starting lineup for second half of Saturday...
Jefferson moved into the starting lineup for the second half of Saturday's game after Bismack Biyombo left the game with a right knee contusion, the Charlotte Observer reports. He finished the game with nine points (4-14 FG, 1-4 FT), six rebounds, and seven blocks in 30 minutes.
Jefferson has been coming off the bench since returning from his groin injury, but with Biyombo and Marvin Williams (concussion) leaving the game with injuries, the Hornets were too thin to keep Jefferson on the bench. Jefferson's seven blocked shots are amazing, but he's averaged just 1.1 blocks this season, making games like Saturday's wonderful but also an awful tease.
Sat Jan 24 201518:17Jefferson will come off bench against Knicks on Sunday
Jefferson will come off the bench against the Knicks on Sunday, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Jefferson may be seeing limited minutes off the bench over the last two games, but he's been extremely efficient and should be deployed across all formats since the Hornets may be inclined to keep on adding to his workload Saturday.

Jefferson scored 22 points (10-16 FG, 2-2 FT) and grabbed 11 rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench against the Cavaliers Friday. He also notched one assist and three blocks.
Jefferson has come off the bench and seen a decreased workload in his three games since returning from a groin injury. His production in the first two games was similarly limited. Friday, however, he seemed to be back to his old self again. It may still take a few more games for him to return to the Hornets' starting lineup and his full minutes compliment, but he is now making a convincing case that he should already be back in fantasy starting lineups.
