Wed Jan 30 201319:44Matt Bonner out on Wednesday with knee
Matt Bonner will not play against the Bobcats on Wednesday due to a sore right knee.
The Spurs could have used him with Tim Duncan and DeJuan Blair already ruled out. Tiago Splitter is going to be a very busy man in the paint and Boris Diaw gets to take on his former team with a nice outlook.

Sat Jan 19 201321:45Matt Bonner scores season-high 17 points
The Spurs got a nice lift from Matt Bonner on Saturday, as the veteran big man scored a season-high 17 points in 23 minutes off the bench.
Bonner made 7-of-8 FGs, including three 3-pointers, but Tim Duncan's precautionary absence was the catalyst for his big game and we don't expect a repeat performance. Suffice to say, he hadn't scored a single point in the Spurs' previous six games, which included two DNP-CDs.

Matt Bonner logged his first double-double on the season with 10 points and 10 boards, while adding two 3-pointers in 30 minutes on Thursday.
Bonner never cracked the 20-minute mark entering tonight's game and he's unlikely to do it again until Gregg Popovich rests his players again. DeJuan Blair played just 18 minutes and had six points and three rebounds.

Matt Bonner played through a bruised quad on Saturday, scoring three points with one rebound and two blocks in 16 minutes.
Bonner struggled to defend Derrick Favors one-on-one, understandably, but as usual he played competent team defense while his 3-point shooting drew Utah's big men out of the paint. He's healthy heading into Game 4 on Monday.

Mon Mar 26 201200:14Matt Bonner scores 10 points in fill-in start
Matt Bonner filled in admirably for Tim Duncan (rest) on Sunday, notching 10 points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 27 minutes.
Bonner didn't turn the ball over, and as usual the threat of him lurking in 3-point territory helped open the court for San Antonio. He's shooting 45.9 percent from downtown this year, which is fourth-best in the NBA. Manu Ginobili is third at 46.5 percent.

Sat Mar 24 201204:17Bonner (back) hits four threes in return
Matt Bonner (back) hit four 3-pointers in his return on Friday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in 26 minutes.
This is the first noise he has made in some time, and we're skeptical about owners' ability to figure when and if Bonner is going to be productive from night-to-night. And if the Spurs ever make it to full strength, the recent additions of Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw aren't helping matters, either.

Matt Bonner (back) is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Mavericks.
Bonner should be ready to go after a one-game absence. With Tiago Splitter (back) sidelined, Bonner could see more than his typical 18-22 minutes. He's averaged 5.7 points and 1.7 treys in 21.5 minutes since the All-Star break.

Matt Bonner (back spasms) won't play on Wednesday against the Timberwolves.
This is the first we've heard about Bonner having issues with his back so we're going to call it a day-to-day injury at this time. DeJuan Blair, Tiago Splitter and Tim Duncan should all see an increase in minutes with Bonner out.

Bonner got hot 2-3 weeks back, hitting 15 triples in a four-game span, but since then has averaged just under 2.0 threes per game in February contests before tonight. If you're desperate for threes, give him a look in hopes you can catch him at the right time.

Bonner has hit 15 triples in his last four games, and is well worth a look if you need a boost in that department while he's hot. Just don't be surprised if he cools off by the time you get him in your weekly lineup.

Fri Jan 6 201201:05Bonner gets hot in garbage time vs. Mavs
Matt Bonner got hot in garbage-time of Thursday's win, scoring 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including five threes) to go with six rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench.
This may earn him a small amount of time going forward, but Gregg Popovich already knew Bonner could shoot so there's no real revelation here. Bonner belongs firmly on the waiver wire in most formats.
