Fri Oct 12 201209:01Carl Landry has 24 points, 8 boards Thursday
Carl Landry had 24 points (9-of-12 shooting) with eight rebounds in Thursday's preseason game.
Landry was running with the starting unit, but it's worth noting he made 6-of-7 free throws while failing to block a shot. If Andrew Bogut (ankle) misses the season opener, Landry should see an extended role with the second unit.

Wed Aug 1 201220:58Warriors officially sign PF Carl Landry
Warriors sign PF Carl Landry on Wednesday.
Landry has a nice offensive skill set and is a decent rebounder, and should back up David Lee off the bench. He might be worth a look late in deeper drafts, but could quickly become a hot waiver-wire pickup if Lee suffers and injury this season.

Mon Jul 30 201218:39Carl Landry agree on two-year, $8mil deal
The Warriors and Carl Landry have reportedly agreed on a two-year, $8 million contract.
The second year is a player option, giving Landry another season to inflate his market value before potentially opting for free agency. As the probable backup for David Lee, Landry doesn't have much fantasy appeal -- he averaged a respectable 24 minutes per game last year, but only returned 17th-round value in nine-cat leagues.

Mon Jul 30 201215:26Warriors 'on the verge' of inking Carl Landry
The Warriors and FA Carl Landry are "on the verge" of an agreement, according to CSNBayArea.com.
Golden State has been pursuing Landry for a while now, and it seems that either they improved their offer or Landry finally realized no team would break the bank for him. He has minimal fantasy value but is a solid real-world addition to the Warriors' bench, where he projects as David Lee's backup.

Mon Jul 30 201208:34Report: Warriors still want to sign Landry
Unrestricted FA Carl Landry "remains atop the wishlist," sources tell beat writer Marcus Thompson.
According to Thompson, the W's reported interest in Josh Howard "is, at the very least, minimal," which makes sense considering the team drafted Harrison Barnes and is still expected to re-sign Brandon Rush. Landry has been connected to the Bobcats and Warriors over the last few weeks, but he has yet to make his decision.

Thu Jul 26 201215:31Bobcats still trying to land Carl Landry
The Bobcats are still very interested in signing free agent Carl Landry, and could even end up in a four-team deal that would bring him to Charlotte.
Rick Bonnell is reporting that there's a chance Charlotte could enter the fray in a proposed trade involving Phoenix, Minnesota and New Orleans, where they would pesumably come away with Landry. Landry is thought to be one of the best free agents still on the market and his decision is expected any day now. And given Charlotte's lack of depth/talent at PF, Landry could step in and start right away if signed.

Wed Jul 25 201208:49Report: Landry expected to sign very soon
Unrestricted FA Carl Landry is expected to make his decision in the next few days.
"There are a lot of teams pursuing (Landry), because he's probably the premier unrestricted free agent on the market," his agent Mark Bartelstein said. While that's likely just Landry's agent building up his market, it shouldn't take much longer for Landry to make a decision. He has been linked to the Warriors and Bobcats most prominently. "He just has to weigh his different options," Bartelstein added.

Mon Jul 23 201211:27Sign-and-trade unlikely for Landry, Bobcats
It is "unlikely" the Bobcats will be able to pull of a sign-and-trade for UFA Carl Landry.
Landry's one of the more notable names left on the free agent market at this point, and while he's been mentioned at great length as an option for the Warriors and Bobcats, a sign-and-trade bringing him to Charlotte doesn't appear likely to happen. He'll have to take a pay cut from the nearly $9 million he made last year regardless of his final destination.

Mon Jul 23 201201:36Carl Landry nearing free agency decision
Free agent Carl Landry is expected to decide which team he'll sign with "in the next couple of days."
The Warriors seem to have a standing offer for Landry, who is scouring the league for the richest deal possible, and the Bobcats are also angling for him via sign-and-trade. Though a capable mid-range and post-up scorer, Landry has never averaged 6.0+ rebounds over a full season, and he has paltry career averages of 0.9 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks.

Fri Jul 20 201214:55Bobcats attempting to trade for F Carl Landry
Hoopsworld is reporting that the Bobcats are attempting to acquire Carl Landry in a sign-and-trade with the Hornets, according to sources close to the situation.
The Hornets just acquired Ryan Anderson to play PF and want to get something of value for FA Landry, rather than letting him walk for free. The Bobcats have struggled to find the right PF as Byron Mullens has more of a midrange game and Tyrus Thomas has continually disappointed when given his chances. Landry would add a toughness to the 'Cats front line and if he does end up in Charlotte, we like his chances to carve out considerable fantasy value -- he could easily be a 15 point and seven rebound guy in the right situation.

Fri Jul 20 201208:26T-Wolves considering Landry, three other FA's
The Timberwolves are "considering" unrestricted free agents Carl Landry, Ronny Turiaf, Dominic McGuire and Ronnie Brewer.
After missing out on Courtney Lee, the T-Wolves need help on the wing, and the addition of Brewer is a very plausible scenario. As for the other players listed, Minnesota continues to shop in the bargain bin for a backup big man behind Nikola Pekovic. The team is also thought to be continuing negotiations with both previously rumored targets, Greg Stiemsma and Jordan Hill.

Sat Jul 14 201211:04Hornets no longer pursuing Carl Landry
The Hornets are no longer in pursuit of free agent Carl Landry.
New Orleans doesn't have many guys who can create offense out of the post, but after trading for Ryan Anderson they don't need any more PFs on the roster. "A number of other teams have expressed interest in Carl," said his agent, Mark Bartelstein. The Warriors, Bulls and Sixers have all inquired about Landry at some point.

Thu Jul 12 201222:30Landry drawing interest from Warriors
The Warriors are pursuing free agent Carl Landry and while talks are "progressing," it's unclear if the Warriors will have the money to sign him.
Anything near last year's $8.5 million salary would be a folly for any team that signs Landry, who scores and rebounds and that's it.

Thu Jul 5 201222:03Bucks inquire about Landry, Hinrich, Miles
The Bucks have made inquiries into the status of Carl Landry, Kirk Hinrich, C.J. Miles, Joel Przybilla, and Kwame Brown.
Landry played his high school ball near Milwaukee, Hinrich played under Scott Skiles in Chicago, Przybilla was heavily recruited by the Bucks last season, Brown was a part of the Monta Ellis deal, and Miles has no connection that we're aware of. This laundry list report wasn't overly revealing, and we're simply adding these guys to our Bucks radar.

Fri Jun 22 201209:41Landry still hoping to re-sign with Hornets
Unrestricted free agent Carl Landry reiterated that he would like to re-sign with the Hornets.
Landry said the same thing at the end of April, and his tune hasn't changed. "At this time, they have no actual center on the team," said Landry. The veteran also acknowledged that "it's a business," and he's not going to "take anything personal." Landry is expected to draw interest from at least a handful of teams once free agency gets underway.

Tue May 29 201209:40Carl Landry on Sixers' free agent radar?
The Sixers could be players for unrestricted free agent Carl Landry.
Kris Humphries' name continues to get circulated in relation to the Sixers' offseason plans, but Landry is "another name you should keep your eyes on," according to beat writer John Mitchell. Landry made over $8 million this season while averaging just 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Mon Apr 30 201210:53Carl Landry wants back with Hornets
Impending unrestricted free agent Carl Landry said he wants to return to the Hornets.
Landry missed 25 games due to calf and knee issues this season. When healthy, he was usually a bench player and ended up averaging 12.5 points in 24.6 minutes per night. The Hornets will have to make decisions on restricted free agent Eric Gordon and unrestricted free agent Chris Kaman before they turn their attention to Landry.

Mon Apr 23 201200:37Carl Landry drops out of sight...again
Carl Landry dropped off a cliff on Sunday, managing just eight points and one rebound in 18 minutes off the bench.
Landry had double-doubles in three of the previous four games, but he's not under contract for next season and the Hornets are increasingly developing younger players. That means more minutes for Lance Thomas (25 minutes), Gustavo Ayon (20 minutes), Jason Smith (31 minutes) and Al-Farouq Aminu (30 minutes).

Fri Apr 20 201201:47Landry goes for 20 & 10; Aminu comes alive
Carl Landry scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting with 10 rebounds and a steal in 38 minutes off the bench on Thursday against the Rockets.
Landry has the propensity to disappear, but he has now provided mid-round value over the past five games on the strength of 14.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.2 turnovers in 25 minutes per contest with a 61 percent mark from the field and 95 percent mark from the line. Jason Smith couldn't finish out the game after he got whacked in the face, and has a history of concussions this season, too. Landry looks like a solid pickup for the remaining games, even if he carries some risk. Al-Farouq Aminu went for 17 and eight with two steals.

Tue Apr 17 201201:16Landry double-doubles after being a 'scratch'
Carl Landry (calf) was reportedly out of Monday's game according to beat writer John Reid, but later checked into the game and scored 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting (6-of-6 from the foul line) with 12 rebounds.
Landry did not have a steal or block, per usual, and as we mentioned before Monty Williams doesn't actually talk to his players about their injuries that much. Along with the strange personnel decisions and unwillingness to develop his young players, we're not so sure why the media has crowned him already.
