Wed Jul 3 201317:39Clips, Carl Landry involved in serious talks?
The Clippers and Carl Landry are involved in serious talks, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
According to Stein, the Clippers are optimistic they'll be able to land for the former Warriors forward. Landry is looking for something longer than a three-year contract and might cost the full mid-level exception for the Clippers, who are limited financially after re-signing Chris Paul and adding J.J. Redick.

Tue Jul 2 201310:00Carl Landry aiming for long-term contract
Free agent Carl Landry hopes to sign "longer than a three-year [contract]" this summer.
The veteran big man played the past two seasons on one-year contracts and he's looking for "some kind of security" with his next deal. He said the Pacers have had interest in him in the past, and he's open to playing for the Blazers or Warriors.

Sun Jun 30 201310:29Carl Landry expects Blazers to pursue him
Carl Landry expects the Trail Blazers to be one of about six teams pursuing him in free agency.
"Portland ... has been interested for a while and the feeling is mutual," Landry said. "They are headed in the right direction." The Blazers' first priority will be finding a starting-caliber center, but they offered Landry a full mid-level exception in 2011 and it's reasonable to think they'll kick his tires again this summer.

Wed Jun 26 201316:20Carl Landry officially opts out of contract
Carl Landry has officially opted out of his contract with the Warriors.
Landry had one more year at $4 million remaining on the deal but will surely find much better offers waiting for him in free agency. Landry has said he'd like to remain with the Warriors, but it's unlikely Golden State will be able to match some of the offers Landry will get on the open market. Stay tuned.

Fri Jun 21 201309:22Report: Carl Landry expected to opt out
Carl Landry is expected to opt out of his contract with the Warriors, according to his agent.
"He's worth a lot more than the contract he has and the direction (we're moving) toward is him opting out," said his agent, Mark Bartelstein. "Things can change, but that's where it's leaning." Bartelstein added Landry will look at all of his options, and while it's not certain he'll leave the Warriors, it's looking like an increasingly likely scenario.

Wed Jun 19 201317:33Carl Landry has a week to decide on option
Carl Landry has until June 26 to decide whether to exercise his player option for next season, according to beat writer Marcus Thompson.
Landry has one year and $4 million left on his contract but can opt out of his deal and become an unrestricted free agent. Landry would almost assuredly get a bigger pay day on the open market, but it's no secret how much he likes the Warriors. We'll just have to wait and see.

Thu May 23 201309:25Carl Landry stuck in tough contract decision
Carl Landry called his current contract situation "the hardest decision" of his career.
Landry can opt out of his deal with the Warriors that has one year and $4 million remaining on it, and while he'd be virtually guaranteed a bigger pay day and a multi-year deal in free agency, he really likes the Warriors and may wind up staying with the team. "I mean, this is the best team I've ever played for on this level, especially as far as chemistry," he said. The Warriors are Landry's first option, but we'll see if that holds true when the bidding starts.

Tue May 21 201309:02Warriors GM doesn't know Landry's future
Warriors GM Bob Myers hinted that he's uncertain on Carl Landry's future with the team.
Landry has a player option for next season, but he's expected to opt out in search of a bigger payday anda multi-year deal. Given the way he played this season, Landry should have no problem commanding at least a two-year deal worth $5-$7 million annually, and that would put the Warriors in a very difficult position in an effort to retain him.

Mon May 6 201313:04Carl Landry could start Game 1 on Monday
Beat writer Marcus Thompson expects Carl Landry to start Game 1 vs. the Spurs on Monday.
Thompson was "told" that Tiago Splitter (ankle) would start, but he's a game-time decision. Landry is expected to start unless the Spurs revert to a small lineup, so a final decision could come with a different starting five. Stay tuned.

Tue Apr 23 201309:56Carl Landry working on his midrange game
Carl Landry has been working on his midrange game in order to become a bigger threat on offense.
Defenses have been leaving Landry open from the midrange, and he'll have to take advantage of it without David Lee (hip flexor) in the lineup moving forward. "I will just take what the defense gives me," he said.

Sat Apr 13 201302:24Carl Landry scores 11 points with five boards
Carl Landry played 28 minutes against the Lakers on Friday and had 11 points with five boards, one assist and one block in a tough 118-116 loss.
He got the last shot for the Warriors and had a wide-open look on the wing. Landry's 28 minutes tonight are up from the 19.2 per game he played in his previous 10, so he should be flirting with that amount of burn while Andrew Bogut is on the shelf with the bone bruise in his surgically-repaired ankle.

Wed Apr 10 201301:45Carl Landry comes back to earth Tuesday
Carl Landry had just five points and one rebound in 18 minutes of Tuesday's win over Minnesota.
He had scored in double figures in three of his previous four games and had a huge double-double on March 31. He didn't have it going tonight, as Andrew Bogut and David Lee ate up most of the big-man minutes for the Dubs. Bogut finished with just two points, but added 14 rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes.

Sun Mar 31 201301:38Carl Landry has 25 & 10 in efficient romp
Playing possibly his best game of the season, Carl Landry came off the bench for 25 points and 10 rebounds, making 9-of-10 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs in just 23 minutes of action.
Fantasy owners should be wary of Landry's fluky efficiency in limited minutes, as well as the fact that he did this vs. a tired, depleted Blazers team playing without LaMarcus Aldridge. True to form, Landry also didn't have a single assist, steal or block.

Thu Mar 28 201302:50Carl Landry plays well in win
Carl Landry hit 7-of-9 shots for 16 points and seven rebounds in just 18 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
Landry doesn't have fantasy value as long as Andrew Bogut and David Lee are healthy, as tonight was fluke given his low minutes.

Sun Mar 17 201322:08Carl Landry quiet in 13 minutes off bench
Carl Landry's slide continued vs. the Rockets, as he scored six points with four rebounds in 13 reserve minutes.
Landry is now averaging 6.0 over the past four games, with a combined total of one steal and zero blocks. He should be left on all waiver wires.

Sun Mar 10 201301:16Carl Landry posts 18 & 10 in start at PF
Carl Landry started at PF on Saturday with David Lee (knee) out, scoring 18 points with 10 rebounds and two turnovers in 29 minutes.
Lee has vowed to play vs. the Knicks on Monday, so Landry's starting job appears short-lived. He knocked down 7-of-10 shots and made all four of his free throws, but (echoing a common complaint about his fantasy game) he didn't have any assists, steals or blocks.

Tue Mar 5 201301:24Carl Landry disappears in 13 minutes
Carl Landry played just 13 minutes in Monday's win, scoring 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and two assists.
Landry did well in the minutes he received, but Andrew Bogut returned and cut into his already light workload. If you grabbed him in a deep format, it's time to cut bait.

Sat Mar 2 201300:26Landry scores 11 points with four rebounds
Carl Landry scored 11 points with four rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Landry hit 5-of-10 shots from the field and showed why owners aren't exactly running to the wire to grab him. He's a low-end play at best, and best suited for deeper leagues while Andrew Bogut is out.

Wed Feb 27 201323:29Carl Landry plays 32 minutes, scores 15
Carl Landry came off the bench and scored 15 points with three rebounds, three assists and five turnovers in 32 minutes against the Knicks on Wednesday.
He shot 3-of-4 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line, but he did turn the ball over five times. It was a little surprising to see Draymond Green start (four points in 24 minutes) on Wednesday, but Landry could have some value should David Lee's shoulder be an issue. If Lee can play, Landry been relegated to a secondary role with just 21.7 minutes per game over his previous 12 contests.

Sun Feb 24 201318:29Landry goes off with 19 points vs. Wolves
Carl Landry excelled off the bench on Sunday with 19 points on 8-of-9 from the field with nine boards and one steal in 33 minutes during a 100-99 win over Minnesota
He had 11 points and eight boards on Friday and he should benefit while Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely. Landry doesn't have a lot of upside, though, so he's not quite worth owning in standard leagues.
