Sat Dec 14 201321:58Xavier Henry has a dud vs. Charlotte
Xavier Henry shot 1-of-6 from the field in 21 minutes of action against the Bobcats on Saturday, scoring four points with one board, two assists and one block.
He did put up 15 points on Friday thanks to garbage time, so this is the type of line that should come out of Henry more often than not. He has very little value for his inability to add production in areas outside of points.

Sat Dec 14 201301:20Xavier Henry gets to the line a bunch
Xavier Henry played 27 minutes off the bench on Friday for 15 points, four boards, two assists and one steal on 3-of-7 from the field and 9-of-16 from the line.
Seven of his points came with the Lakers down by 20 or more, so there shouldn't be too much stock put into this line. Although, Henry should be a big part of the second unit with the Lakers missing a lot of depth in the backcourt. He has a low upside due to a lack of defense and making just 60 percent of his free throws, so it's hard to sign off on him as a pickup.

Mon Dec 9 201300:34Xavier Henry scores 17 pts, benched in fourth
Xavier Henry scored 17 points in 14 minutes on Sunday, sinking 6-of-8 shots with two 3-pointers, but he was benched for the final five minutes of the game.
The Lakers finished the game with a micro-lineup of Steve Blake, Kobe Bryant, Jodie Meeks, Nick Young and Jordan Hill, despite the fact that Henry was playing very well and leading the team in scoring. Such is life in Mike D'Antoni's topsy-turvy lineups, where Kobe Bryant's return may cause L.A.'s lesser swingmen to ricochet between big games and irrelevance.

Mon Dec 2 201300:21Xavier Henry scores career-high 27 points
The Lakers fell at home on Sunday despite Xavier Henry's career-high 27 points, which came on 9-of-12 FGs and 7-of-11 FTs.
He made two 3-pointers with five boards and one steal in his best game since he exploded onto the scene in L.A.'s season opener. Mike D'Antoni loves Henry but the Lakers' rotations are far too chaotic to rely on him in standard leagues, especially with a two-game week ahead and Kobe Bryant's return looming on the horizon.

Sun Nov 24 201323:52Xavier Henry gets hot off bench w/ 21 points
Xavier Henry notched his second 20-point game of the season on Sunday, coming off the bench for 21 points on 7-of-11 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs.
Two of his makes were from downtown, but his line was thin elsewhere -- two rebounds with zero assists, steals or blocks in 21 minutes. Mike D'Antoni's usual array of small lineups was exaggerated with Chris Kaman (back) unavailable, and all four of the Lakers' active bench players hit at least one 3-pointer, including Henry, Nick Young, Shawne Williams and Jordan Farmar.

Mon Nov 18 201300:49Xavier Henry quiet, may have foot injury
Mike D'Antoni said before Sunday's game that Xavier Henry has a foot injury, but Henry came off the bench to score four points with two rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes.
D'Antoni declined to specify which of Henry's feet was injured, and Henry dismissed any concerns before the game. We're leaving him off the injury report and his status shouldn't have much bearing in fantasy leagues anyway -- after a hot start, Henry has scored double-digit points just once in the past eight games.

Wed Nov 13 201302:36Xavier Henry scores 15 w/ three 3s off bench
Xavier Henry came off the bench behind Wes Johnson and Jodie Meeks on Tuesday, hitting 6-of-8 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, two rebounds, an assist, three steals and five turnovers.
Henry has been quiet recently but came through tonight, getting much of his stats in garbage time. He had the dunk of the night in the NBA and is worth keeping an eye on for the banged up Lakers. But they have so many wing players sharing time that we're probably looking at a different breakout player from night to night for the next few weeks.

Fri Nov 8 201300:54Xavier Henry gets just 14 minutes vs. Rockets
Xavier Henry came off the bench on Thursday night and played just 14 minutes, scoring three points with one board, one assist, one steal and three turnovers on 1-of-5 shooting.
His run in the starting lineup was fun while it lasted, but he was the worst of the five Lakers bench players that were on the court tonight. It's nights like this that serve as a reminder that he couldn't crack the rotation with the Hornets and Grizzlies. Fantasy owners should be able to do better than Henry in almost any situation.

Mon Nov 4 201300:42Xavier Henry scores 18 points in start
Xavier Henry received his first start of the season on Sunday, scoring a team-high 18 points with one assist and two 3-pointers on 5-of-11 shooting.
He played 26 minute, which is just a shade below his 28.0 minutes per game over the first three outings. Henry was able to get to the line eight times, but none of his 11 shots from the field came from within three feet. It's a good sign that he was able to produce in just 26 minutes, so his playing time could be on the rise. He's worth a look as long as his prospective owners realize his value will take a big hit upon Kobe Bryant's return.

Sun Nov 3 201314:01Xavier Henry starts Sunday ahead of N. Young
Xavier Henry will start in place of Nick Young for Sunday's matchup vs. the Hawks.
Young played 18 minutes in the Lakers' previous game and he's shooting 27.3 percent on the season. D'Antoni has been raving about Henry, on the other hand, and fantasy owners could do worse for a source of points (13.0 per game) and 3-pointers (1.0). Just beware his career 61.5 percent FT shooting.

Sat Nov 2 201304:01Henry gets nine stitches, Lakers a mess
Xavier Henry got nine stitches for a cut on his head but finished out Friday's game against the Spurs, missing all six of his field goal attempts and finishing with three points, three boards and one assist.
Whether you cut Henry slack for the gash or not, the Lakers' 50-man rotation is really killing the drill for fantasy owners. Wes Johnson had 12 points, one steal, two blocks and two threes in 27 minutes, but may disappear next time out. Jodie Meeks had 14 points, six boards and one three and the same thing applies to him. Nick Young starts for the Lakers but had just six points to go with one steal and two blocks, and Shawne Williams played 21 minutes with three points and six boards. Yuck.

Thu Oct 31 201302:47Xavier Henry scores 14 in ugly loss
Xavier Henry, who had 22 points on Tuesday, hit 4-of-11 shots for 14 points, four rebounds and an assist in 30 minutes on Wednesday.
He's getting run and looks pretty good for the Lakers. If you're in a deep league and need a wing man, he's worth a look after the Lakers first two games.

Wed Oct 30 201301:58Xavier Henry scores a career-high 22 points
Xavier Henry erupted in his Lakers debut on Tuesday with a career-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while adding six boards, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 26 minutes.
Well, it looks like his out-of-nowhere explosion from the preseason was no fluke. Before tonight's gem, Henry's month was highlighted by a 29-point outing back on Oct. 6. The Lakers didn't even turn to their starters in the final 15 minutes of the game, so their second unit was definitely the story of the night. Henry could fall off as quickly as he's heated up, but he's worth a look considering the opportunity in front of him with Kobe Bryant set to miss a couple weeks.

Sun Oct 6 201301:11Lakers win, Xavier Henry has game-high 29 pts
The Lakers won Saturday's exhibition behind Xavier Henry's game-high 29 points, which included a half-court heave just before halftime.
Henry has 14 double-digit scoring games in three NBA seasons, with career marks of 40.3 percent from the field, 28.9 percent from deep, and 62.4 percent from the FT line. Nick Young scored 17 points on Saturday and is a more sustainable source of scoring and 3-pointers, though even he must contend with Jodie Meeks, Wes Johnson and the eventual return of Kobe Bryant.

Thu Sep 5 201316:33Lakers sign Xavier Henry
The Lakers have officially signed Xavier Henry.
Henry averaged 3.9 ppg last season with the Hornets and has never proven to be more than a role player in his three seasons in the NBA. It never hurts to take a flyer on a 22-year-old former lottery pick, but it is unlikely that Henry can find a role with the Lakers that makes him relevant to fantasy owners.

Wed Sep 4 201314:55Lakers are interested in Xavier Henry
The Lakers are interested in signing unrestricted free agent Xavier Henry.
He got two starts for the Hornets last year and averaged 8.5 points in those two. Henry has battled numerous injuries in his career and will just serve as emergency depth for any team that signs him.

Wed Aug 7 201313:06FA Henry looking impressive in summer
Free agent Xavier Henry is "really impressing" in Los Angeles summer action and could latch on with a team soon.
Henry hasn't gotten much interest this summer, but recent speculation has suggested he might be a fit for the 76ers. A former lottery pick, Henry has averaged just 4.5 points per game in three NBA seasons but is still only 22 years old.

Thu Apr 11 201300:48Xavier Henty scores 15 points vs. SAC
Xavier Henry scored 15 points in Wednesday's 121-110 loss to the Kings, adding four boards and two turnovers in 28 minutes.
It was his second game in a row playing at least 28 minutes, scoring just six points on Tuesday. He has very little upside since he doesn't take 3-pointers, so he can remain on the waiver wire in almost all leagues.

Sat Dec 8 201201:41Henry scores 12 points in start at SF
Xavier Henry started for Al-Farouq Aminu on Friday against the Grizzlies, scoring 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes.
We need to see a lot more out of Henry, who is an injury risk and hasn't done much in his NBA career. Aminu was a DNP-CD tonight, too, and we can't see that happening going forward.

Mon Dec 3 201212:09Williams wants to see more from Xavier Henry
Monty Williams wants to see more from Xavier Henry in order for him to earn consistent playing time.
"He's at the point in his career where he knows he has to show that he's a pro," Williams said. Henry has appeared in eight games this season, logging just under 12 minutes per game. The former lottery pick is not a fantasy option.
