Lin will get the start Friday, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell reports.

Ronnie Price will sit Friday after aggravating an elbow injury, and with Kobe Bryant (rest) also out, Lin figures to be a solid play in daily leagues.

Lin will draw the starting nod Wednesday against the Clippers, Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Lin will start in favor of Ronnie Price, who is dealing with a broken nose suffered Monday against the Blazers. Lin should continue to see increased ball-handling duties until Price is able to return.

Lin scored 19 points (8-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT) with three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 26 minutes Sunday.

The 19 points was Lin's highest output since being demoted and only the fourth time he has gotten to double-digits in the 11 games off the bench. It stands a good chance that Lin reclaims the starting job in the coming weeks as Ronnie Price has been ineffective, but in most leagues, stashing Lin is an unproductive strategy.

Lin came off the bench again in Friday's win over the Spurs, scoring 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT) in 30 minutes.

Lin hadn't been responding well to his benching, but this was by far his best performance in the past three games. Ronnie Price had a terrible game as a starter, going 0-for-4 in 17 minutes. If this trend continues, Lin could work his way back into the starting lineup.

Lin scored just three points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with one rebound, four assists and one steal in 22 minutes off the bench Tuesday.

Lin has not responded well to his demotion, averaging 3.0 points and 4.0 assists in his two games behind Ronnie Price. Price hasn't been excelling himself, so Lin could easily get value back, although the early returns have not been promising. If there's someone you want on the waiver wire, Lin could be dropped.

This was the second time this season Lin has failed to score, but the 0-10 from the field is costly for owners. His form over the last two weeks has been promising after a slow start to the season so hopefully this was only a slight speed bump.

The 26-year-old is battling some back soreness but it seems the decision to hold him out Saturday was primarily for maintenance purposes, as the issue is not believed to be serious. Lin has been up and down over the past week, but there's been nothing to suggest he won't be available for close to his normal minutes Sunday against the Nuggets.

Lin, who was coming off a scoreless game Sunday, scored 15 points (6-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) with three rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals in 31 minutes Tuesday.

Although Lin started the season slowly, and put up a goose egg Sunday, he's been fairly consistent in between, scoring in double digits in seven of the last nine games. He won't light the world on fire this season, but his fantasy value should hold steady.

Lin got the Patrick Beverley treatment Tuesday and struggled his way to seven points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes Tuesday.

There's no need to panic after a subpar game from Lin as he was matched up against one of the best defensive point guards in the game in Beverley, as well as going against his former teammates. Lin went scoreless in the first half, but looked better in the second and this will likely be a low-point in what should be a productive season for the former Houston player. If Lin was dropped in your league as a result of this, run, don't walk, to the waiver wire to get him onto your squad.

Lin will start Tuesday's opener against the Rockets.

The absence of Steve Nash presents an opportunity for Lin to assume the vast majority of the point guard minutes, and he'll now step in as the starter when the regular season begins. Ronnie Price may still be in the conversation to start, though, as Byron Scott may prefer to bring Lin off the bench. Whether he starts or not, Lin's fantasy value is close to as high as it's ever been given the players with which he's competing for playing time.

Lin will likely assume the starting point guard with Steve Nash ruled out for the season, The L.A. Times reports.

While Lin was expected to play more minutes and be the more fantasy relevant player this season, the news of Nash being done for the year still has an impact in his fantasy value. Previously, coach Byron Scott had annointed Nash the starter, meaning Lin would play off the bench and start on the games Nash rested. Now, with more consistency and only rookie Jordan Clarkson and veteran Ronnie Price behind him, Lin is poised to have his fantasy value rise significantly. He'll likely go higher than where his current ADP sits, so jumping on him n the mid rounds is a solid strategy.

Now healthy, it should only be a matter of time before Lin usurps the starting role from Ronnie Price, who has been the placeholder starter of late. With Steve Nash's troublesome back likely to be a constant concern, Lin's fantasy value looks like it will fairly consistent.
