CF Rajai Davis missed Friday night's game against Seattle with a left hamstring injury he sustained while running at a ground ball in the sixth inning on Thursday night in a 9-6 victory vs. the Mariners. Davis stayed in the game until after the bottom of the eighth, when he tweaked the injury while running to first on a double-play ground ball. "I feel better than yesterday," Davis said. "So we're still making progress. We'll be feeling better by the end of the day. Just getting some treatment. That's going well so we're going to keep doing that. By tomorrow I'm hoping to be feeling ready to play." A's manager Bob Melvin said he doesn't expect Davis to miss too much time and has no plan to put him on the disabled list.

CF Rajai Davis went 2-for-5 with an RBI and scored two runs but left after the bottom of the eighth inning with a left hamstring injury he sustained running out a ground ball in the sixth inning. He won't be in the lineup on Friday night.

CF Rajai Davis hit a two-out, two-run, game-tying home run in the eighth inning off Cubs LHP Aroldis Chapman. It was the first game-tying or go-ahead homer in the eighth inning or later of a deciding game of the World Series since the Yankees' Alfonso Soriano hit one in the eighth inning of Game 7 of the 2001 World Series.

CF Rajai Davis had three stolen bases on Sunday. At age 36, he is the oldest Cleveland Indian to steal a base in the World Series, surpassing Joe Gordon (33) who stole a base in Game 1 of the 1948 World Series. He is the fifth player (sixth time overall) to steal three bases in a game, joining Honus Wagner (1909), Willie Davis (1965), Lou Brock (1967 and 1968) and Melvin Upton Jr. (2008).

OF Rajai Davis stole his American League-leading 43rd base in the eighth inning and scored the go-ahead run on an error. "Rajai can change the game," Indians manager Terry Francona said. "That's a situation where they know he's running, but he still has the ability. We don't even have Coco (Crisp) bunting because we think he can steal it. That doesn't happen very often. He's that good of a base stealer."

OF Rajai Davis, 35, leads the AL with 40 stolen bases. He has a chance to become the oldest player to lead either league in steals since Rickey Henderson, at age 39, led the AL with 66 steals in 1998.

CF Rajai Davis leads the American League with 40 stolen bases, 12 more than anyone else in the league. Davis is in a position to become the first Indians player to lead the league in steals since Kenny Lofton did so with 75 in 1996.

OF Rajai Davis stole two bases Saturday, raising his American League-leading total to 40. At age 35, Davis is the oldest player to steal 40 bases in a season since 2011 when Ichiro Suzuki stole 40 at age 37. Davis is the first Indians player to steal 40 bases in a season since Omar Vizquel stole 42 in 1999.

OF Rajai Davis entered the game as a pinch runner in the eighth inning and promptly stole second base. It's his league-leading 38th stolen base. Davis is bidding to become the first Indian to lead the American League in stolen bases since Kenny Lofton in 1996. The Indians had three stolen bases in the game to lift their league-leading total to 119. "We?re aware they can run and we've made our pitchers aware of it. Their entire lineup can run," Detroit manager Brad Ausmus said.

OF Rajai Davis led off the game with his 21st double of the season and scored Cleveland's lone run on Saturday night, giving him a hit in four straight starts. Davis also made a stellar defensive play in the bottom of the first inning to take away a hit from Minnesota's Max Kepler after doing the same to Kepler in the eighth inning of the series opener. Kepler returned the favor with his diving catch of Davis' extra-base bid in the ninth.

OF Rajai Davis stole his league-leading 35th base of the season in the seventh inning. At 35, Davis is the oldest player to steal 35 bases in a season since OF Ichiro Suzuki, at age 37, stole 40 bases for Seattle in 2011.

OF Rajai Davis snapped his 0-for-20 hitless slide with a leadoff infield single in the eighth inning on Monday. Davis has gone 10 games since his last stolen base, which came Aug. 16. However, the 35-year-old Davis still leads the American League with 33 stolen bases, seven more than anyone else in else in the league.

OF Rajai Davis was 2-for-4 Thursday. In the current homestand Davis is hitting .318 (7-for-22), with a home run, five runs scored and five stolen bases. Davis has a .301 career batting average against the White Sox.

OF Rajai Davis, 35, leads the American League with 32 stolen bases. Davis could become just the third player in AL history to lead the league in steals at age 35 or older. The last to do it was Oakland's Rickey Henderson, who had 66 in 1998 at the age of 39. The only other player to accomplish the feat was Eddie Collins of the White Sox, in 1924 at age 37 and 1923 at age 36.

OF Rajai Davis had three of the Indians' team record-tying eight stolen bases in Friday night's win. "You just trust your instincts and you go," Davis said. "It helps us as a team, and puts pressure on the defense." Davis leads the American League with 31 steals and the Indians as a team lead the league with 92.

OF Rajai Davis filled up the boxscore Saturday when he went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored in the Indians' 5-2 win over the Yankees. Davis was hitless in his first two at-bats before he singled home the tying run in the fifth inning, extended the Indians' lead to 4-2 with his career-high 10th homer in the seventh and came around to score the final run after drawing a one-out walk in the ninth. It was the second straight multi-hit game for Davis, who is batting .260 with 38 RBIs and 27 stolen bases -- tied for the most in the American League -- in 91 games this season.

OF Rajai Davis completed an unconventional double play in the third inning. With the bases loaded and one out, Davis caught a fly ball in center field, and instead of throwing home, he threw to first to double off Mauer, ending the inning. "I went by what I saw and what I saw was an easy out. Mauer was halfway to second," Davis said. "It would have been a harder throw for me to go home."

OF Rajai Davis stole second base in the fifth inning. It's Davis 25th stolen base of the season. Davis, 35, is the oldest Indians player to steal 25 bases in a season since Napoleon Lajoie in 1910.

OF Rajai Davis became the eighth Indians player to hit for the cycle on Saturday in the 9-6 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. He hit his ninth homer of the season in the first, tripled in the third, doubled in the seventh and singled in the ninth. The previous Indians player to hit for the cycle was DH/1B Travis Hafner on Aug. 14, 2003, at Minneota.
