Haren (13-11) took the loss on Tuesday night against the Rockies, as he gave up five runs on four hits in five innings pitched.

It was only a matter of time before Haren would get himself into trouble, considering the nice run of starts he had. Although Haren only gave up four hits in the game, they were costly. The Dodgers' hurler allowed a two-run homer to Corey Dickerson in the fourth inning and also let a wild pitch get by him for another run. Haren (4.14 ERA) will try to get back on track for the Dodgers as he faces Travis Wood and the Cubs on Sunday.

Haren (13-10) hurled seven shutout innings Wednesday in a win over the Padres, scattering four hits while walking one and striking out five.

Haren has allowed only two runs in 26 innings (0.69 ERA) over his last four starts. The veteran right-hander will try to keep it going in the thin air of Colorado on Tuesday.

Haren grabbed his 12th win of the season on Friday against the Diamondbacks as he pitched six strong innings, while only allowing one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts.

Before Haren's excellent run of starts, he was really struggling to stay afloat in the Dodgers rotation. As of August 1, Haren has lowered his ERA from 4.76 to 4.17 while allowing no more than three runs in any game since. Look for Haren to next take the mound on Wednesday against the Padres.

Haren will start Friday, rather than Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

The Dodgers did not provide a reason for the move, but Haren will have his start pushed back two days. Instead of facing the Nationals, Haren will now pitch the opener of a weekend set with the Diamondbacks after the Dodgers' off day Thursday. Manager Don Mattingly did not officially announce Wednesday's starter, but Carlos Frias is expected to get the nod.

Haren pitched six excellent innings on Friday against the Padres in a no-decision, as he gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out three hitters in a 95-pitch effort.

Over his last five starts, Haren has gone 3-1 only giving up eight runs over 29.1 innings pitched, while lowering his ERA from 4.57 to 4.33 during the stretch. Haren's woes seem to be behind him as he continues to fill out the Dodgers back end of the rotation.

Haren (11-10) picked up the win as he pitched seven fantastic innings on Friday against the Mets as he allowed only one run on three hits while striking out six hitters and walking none.

Since hitting a rough patch of awful starts, Haren has performed well of late with three wins and three quality starts over his last four games started. Haren was moved up a day in the rotation to allow Zack Greinke some additional rest, and the move showed no ill effects on Haren's production. His ERA currently sits at 4.44.

Haren's next start has been moved up to Friday against the Mets, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers will move Clayton Kershaw and Haren up to Thursday and Friday, respectively, to afford Zack Greinke (elbow) some extra rest. Haren has turned in quality starts in two of his last three outings, after failing to do so in any of his previous five turns.

Haren only had nine of 18 first-pitch strikes and took the loss in the game. The outing was Haren's shortest on the season. After winning his last two starts, Haren regressed Sunday.

Haren (10-9) was victorious Tuesday, tossing six innings of four-hit, two-run ball against the Braves. He also fanned seven and walked one.

An RBI-double and a solo homer by each of the Upton brothers were the only marks against the 33-year-old righty, who grooved nearly two thirds (62-of-97) of his pitches for strikes. After five straight losses from July 5 to August 1, Haren has been locked in over his last two starts (both wins), allowing just three earned runs on nine hits with a single walk and 11 K's in 13.1 innings. He'll look to make it three in a row at home against the Brewers on Sunday.

Haren (9-9) tossed a gem Wednesday to beat the Angels, allowing a run on three hits and striking out four over 7.1 innings.

Three baserunners is Haren's lowest total since a one-hit contest against the Indians June 30. Since that game, the 33-year-old had been awful, coughing up 26 runs in 23.1 innings (10.13 ERA) over five starts. Haren will try to stay on track Monday in Atlanta.

Haren will make his next scheduled start Wednesday against the Angels, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

In dropping his fifth consecutive decision Friday against the Cubs, Haren gave up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and two walks and failed to make it out of the fifth inning. Further, he gave up another home run, and has now given up at least one homer in all but one of his last 15 outings. Regardless, manager Don Mattingly is sticking with the 33-year-old as a starter for the time being, but Haren's leash may be just about up.

It's quite possible that Haren just pitched himself out of a rotation spot with the Dodgers, where he hasn't had a quality start since June 30. Since then, Haren has given up 26 earned runs over 23.1 innings where his ERA has ballooned from 3.57 to 4.76. In other words, there's a complete meltdown in process.

Haren's next start will come on Friday against the Cubs, the Dodgers' official site reports.

Haren will look to put an awful July behind him (19 innings, 20 earned runs). We'll see if the extra rest does Haren any good.

After getting lit up on July 23, Haren was told he would have his next start skipped after struggling in four July starts. As it turns out, the start is just a few days later than originally scheduled. Haren is 8-8 with a 4.49 ERA and 1.31 WHIP through 21 starts on the season.

Haren has struggled to the tune of a 9.47 ERA in four July starts, so it's no surprise the team is hesitant to keep running him out there. With the skipped start, Haren won't pitch again before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, meaning Wednesday's start -- if the Dodgers acquire another starter at the deadline -- could be his last with the club. The earliest he could pitch again would be August 2.

The right-hander gave up four hits -- including a home run to Travis Snider -- while walking three and striking out six. Haren has not exactly been the bargain the Dodgers hoped they were getting when they signed him back in November. He carries a 4.49 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 92/26 K/BB ratio. He'll make his final start of the month at home against the Braves next week.

Haren threw 99 pitches and couldn't make it out of the fifth inning. The veteran right-hander gave up eight hits (including a home run) and two walks while striking out four batters. While Haren got off to a nice start this season, he has a 5.11 ERA over his last 15 starts dating back to the start of May. He has allowed 18 home runs in that timespan. It's increasingly clear that the Dodgers could use some insurance for the back-end of their starting rotation.

This time, he didn't need much offensive help. The veteran began the season by working at least six innings in 11 of 12 outings, but he failed to do so in three of his last four coming into tonight. He's now walked two or fewer in 11 straight and Los Angeles hurlers have walked two or less in 34 straight, the second longest streak of the century behind Minnesota's 36-game stretch in 2005. Haren travels to the pitcher's elephant graveyard on Blake Street on Saturday for a date with the Rockies.
