RHP Luke Jackson (strained shoulder) was sent to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday for a rehab assignment. He went on the 10-day disabled list on Aug. 19.

RHP Luke Jackson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a right shoulder strain. He worked an inning Friday against the Reds, walking two. Jackson has made 35 relief appearances, going 2-0 with a 4.65 ERA. He had 28 strikeouts and 15 walks in 40 1/3 innings.

RHP Luke Jackson fanned six of the seven batters he faced in 2 1/3 perfect innings of relief on Friday night, calming the hot St. Louis bats for a short time. It was the first time a pitcher has faced only seven batters in an outing and whiffed six since the Yankees' Dellin Betances did it on May 15, 2014, against the Mets. It's the most strikeouts for an Atlanta reliever since 2011.

RHP Luke Jackson saved the stressed bullpen with four shutout innings on Sunday. He allowed two hits and fanned four in relief of Julio Teheran. Jackson has made five straight scoreless appearances. He has been scored upon in only two of his last 14 appearances. Jackson also made his first professional plate appearance and executed a sacrifice bunt.

He was promoted April 14 and then returned April 19 after allowing two runs in three innings of three relief appearances.
