Fri Jun 7 2013 | 21:41 | Nick Tepesch struggles in loss to Blue Jays |
Nick Tepesch struggled in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays, allowing six runs on five hits over his seven innings of work. |
Tepesch punched out six on the night while walking only two. It was a 1-1 game heading into the bottom of the sixth inning when a two-run double from Edwin Encarnacion keyed a four-run uprising. Even with the rough outing, Tepesch owns a respectable 3.92 ERA and 45/16 K/BB ratio through 62 innings on the season. He'll look to get back on track when he takes on the Indians at home on Wednesday. |

Sat Jun 1 2013 | 20:01 | Nick Tepesch sharp in no-decision |
Nick Tepesch allowed just an unearned run over 6 1/3 innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Royals. |
Outside of his one win against Houston, Tepesch has gotten very little run support over the last month. The Rangers scored just once for him tonight, and maybe that would have been enough, but an infield single, another single and a passed ball led to an unearned run in the fifth. |

Nick Tepesch allowed two runs on five hits and had six strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in his start Sunday against the Mariners. |
It was another solid effort from Tepesch, who took advantage of a weak-hitting Mariners' lineup. He didn't allow a run through five innings before giving up a two-run homer to Kendrys Morales. Tepesch was scratched from his last start because of a blister issue, but it's no longer a concern at this point. His next start is Saturday vs. the Royals. |

Fri May 17 2013 | 23:19 | Tepesch pitches decently in losing effort |
Nick Tepesch pitched decently in a losing effort against the Tigers on Friday, allowing two runs on six hits over his five innings. |
Tepesch also walked three and struck out one in the contest. He shut down the vaunted Tigers offense through the first four innings, but they broke through in the fifth courtesy of an RBI double from Miguel Cabrera and a sacrifice fly from Alex Avila. Tepesch has done a decent job thus far for the Rangers, compiling a 3-4 record, 3.98 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 31/13 K/BB ratio over 43 innings. He'll get the Athletics next at home on Wednesday. |

Wed May 1 2013 | 23:18 | Tepesch has rough night against White Sox |
Nick Tepesch allowed five runs in 6 2/3 innings as the Rangers lost to the White Sox on Wednesday. |
The young right-hander has had ups and downs this season, but Wednesday represented his worst start of the year. He was going alright until the seventh inning, when two home runs derailed his evening. With Matt Harrison's recent setback, Tepesch will most likely remain with the big club for the foreseeable future. Still, his inconsistencies and the fact that he brings little to the table in the strikeout department mean he's best left for AL-only leagues. His next start will come Monday against the Cubs. |

Thu Apr 25 2013 | 23:33 | Nick Tepesch picks up second victory |
Nick Tepesch pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Thursday in the Rangers' 2-1 win over the Twins. |
Tepesch moved to 2-1 himself. He has a 2.53 ERA after four starts, but the Rays, the Mariners (twice) and now the Twins comprising his schedule, he's certainly had the luck of the draw in his favor so far. We wouldn't be in any rush to pick him up in mixed leagues. |

Sun Apr 21 2013 | 13:14 | Tepesch (arm) expected to make start Thurs. |
Nick Tepesch (arm) expects to make his next scheduled start on Thursday night against the Twins. |
Tepesch left Saturday's start against the Mariners after taking a line drive off his right arm, but it seems as though the damage wasn't too serious. That's good news, as Tepesch has compiled a cool 3.07 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in three starts this year for the Rangers. |

Nick Tepesch left his start against the Mariners on Saturday with a right wrist contusion. |
Tepesch suffered the injury after being hit with a line drive by Jesus Montero. If a bruise is the only result of the line drive, Tepesch may still be able to make his next scheduled start. Consider him day-to-day for now. |

Bad break for the young right-hander, who was making just his third major league start. Tepesch was 1-1 with a 3.46 ERA in his first two outings. His status for his next turn in the Texas rotation is uncertain right now. |

Sun Apr 14 2013 | 19:39 | Tepesch allows four runs to Mariners |
Nick Tepesch was charged with four earned runs over five-plus innings in Sunday's loss to the Mariners. |
Tepesch hasn't looked terrible in his first two starts with the Rangers, but it's hard to trust him outside of deeper AL-only leagues. Following his strong debut, he allowed nine hits and wasn't able to go beyond the sixth innings. He'll try to rebound in his next start this weekend against the Mariners. |
