Sat Mar 30 201301:08Chris Young reaches four times in loss
Chris Young delivered a strong offensive performance on Friday, reaching base all four times in a losing effort against the Giants.
Young finished the night 2-for-2 with a double, run scored, stolen base and a pair of walks. One of the most underrated acquisitions of the offseason, Young is hitting .255/.359/.418 with two homers, 9 RBI and two steals this spring. As long as he gets enough playing time to rack up 500 at-bats, he's a good bet to go 20/20, and is certainly worth the gamble late in drafts despite his batting average risk.

Fri Mar 1 201319:58Chris Young has two hits in return to lineup
Chris Young (quad) had a nice day at the dish in his return to the Athletics lineup on Friday, going 2-for-3 with a run scored in a losing effort against the Giants.
Young had been out of the lineup since tweaking his quad on Sunday, but didn't miss a beat upon his return. He's expected to split his time between all three outfield positions and the DH spot in 2013, but provided he remains healthy should be in line for 500 or more at bats. While he's a huge liability in batting average, his 20/20 potential is well worth the gamble late in drafts.
