Sat Feb 26 202215:18Fred Vanvleet Uncertain For Saturday
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. It's the same knee issue that kept him sidelined before the All-Star break. Although, Vanvleet returned on Friday, but looked at less than 100 percent during that contest. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Raptors rest Vanvleet in the second game of this back-to-back set. Scottie Barnes and Gary Trent Jr. would be strong fantasy options without Vanvleet on the floor for Saturday's game. Fantasy managers will need to check back closer to game time for more information.

Thu Feb 24 202217:37Fred VanVleet Set For Return Friday
Toronto Raptors point/shooting guard Fred VanVleet (knee) is set to suit up for Friday's game against Charlotte. VanVleet, who leads the league in minutes played per outing (38.4), missed one contest due to a sore right knee prior to the All-Star break. Over his last seven games, VanVleet has knocked down an average of 4.6 made triples on a nightly basis, having gone for at least 20 points in each contest. The Hornets enter the second half playing at the league's second-fastest pace, which stands to serve VanVleet well in the DFS market, so long as his status does not take an unexpected turn at the eleventh hour.

Wed Feb 16 202218:56Fred Vanvleet Won't Play Against Minnesota
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. VanVleet is still expected to participate in All-Star weekend, but will sit this game out as a precaution. Pascal Siakam is expected to run the offense with Vanvleet sidelined. He'll be a strong fantasy option without Vanvleet on the floor. Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby will see increased roles, so both players are worth looking at for DFS contests.

Tue Feb 15 202219:05Fred VanVleet Questionable Ahead Of Wednesday's Game
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (knee) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. VanVleet was removed late in Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to right knee soreness. He led the Raptors in scoring for the game with 20 points on 6-of-15 shooting. If VanVleet is unable to play on Wednesday, we'd either see Malachi Flynn or Dalano Banton inserted into the starting lineup. Neither player has been very inspiring this year, but they could be worthy of a DFS gamble if you're feeling gutsy.

Mon Feb 14 202221:59Fred VanVleet Exits Monday's Game With Right Knee Soreness
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (knee) has exited Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to right knee soreness. His departure from the game was announced early in the fourth quarter while the team was trailing by over 20 points, so it seems likely that he won't return to the game. Going into the 4th quarter of Monday's game, VanVleet had a team-high 20 points on 6-of-15 shooting with four three-pointers. Stay tuned for more updates on the injury. The Raptors are off on Tuesday before facing the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road on Wednesday.

Sat Feb 12 202218:00Fred VanVleet, Thaddeus Young Cleared To Play Saturday
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (groin) and small/power forward Thaddeus Young (trade) have been given the green light to take the floor for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. VanVleet missed just one outing due to the groin ailment, with his return taking some of the DFS shine from Gary Trent Jr., who went for 42 points in VanVleet's absence. Toronto's offensive lynchpin has hit multiple triples in 27 straight games, averaging 4.7 made threes at a 40.3 percent clip in that span. Young's role among the second unit is unclear, although the veteran figures to snag a handful of minutes. Having played a combined 47 minutes since the calendar flipped, Young is likely to be eased into the Raptors' rotation.

Fri Feb 11 202221:53Fred Vanvleet Could Be Available On Saturday
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets. The All-Star guard sat out of Thursday's game and the Raptors had no issues against the Houston Rockets. Possibly, the Raptors decide to give Vanvleet another rest day on Saturday. Gary Trent Jr. would continue to see a spike in usage, assuming Vanvleet remains out. Malachi Flynn and Dalano Banton should see bigger roles as well, but aren't standard league options. Fantasy managers should check back on Saturday for more information on Vanvleet.

Thu Feb 10 202218:16Fred VanVleet Will Miss Thursday’s Contest
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Rockets due to a sore left groin. VanVleet leads the league at 38.6 minutes played per outing, with his absence opening the door for Dalano Banton to get added run, while Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam figure to take on more playmaking duties. VanVleet has been scorching hot behind the arc to begin February, knocking down 4.4 triples per game, all while shooting at a 44 percent clip. His next chance to suit up comes Saturday vs. Denver.

Sat Jan 29 202219:36Fred Vanvleet Cleared To Play Versus Heat
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (knee) will be available for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. He has missed each of the last two games due to a right knee issue. There is no word on whether or not Vanvleet would be limited during this game. Regardless, fantasy managers in season long formats can go ahead and get Vanvleet back in their lineups. Gary Trent Jr. is likely to lose value with the return on Vanvleet, but should still play enough to warrant holding in most formats.

Wed Jan 26 202218:51Fred Vanvleet Uncertain For Wednesday
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (knee) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. He missed last game, which resulted in Chris Boucher moving into the starting five. Also, Malachi Flynn and Dalano Banton saw playing time during Tuesday's game. Although, Gary Trent Jr. and Boucher benefited the most from the loss of Vanvleet. It's also worth noting that Scottie Barnes (wrist) is questionable for Wednesday's game. Flynn could be asked to play a bigger role with the Raptors limited on guards. However, Trent is the safer fantasy option between the two guards. Fantasy managers should check back before game time for another update on Vanvleet.

Tue Jan 25 202217:48Fred VanVleet Will Miss Tuesday’s Contest
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. Charlotte due to a sore right knee. VanVleet has been logging enormous minutes totals all season, as he enters play Tuesday at a league-high 38.2 minutes per outing. Over his last eight games, that number has jumped to 41.2, a stretch in which he has attempted 13.3 three-point attempts per outing, leading to him shooting just 34 percent overall. Without VanVleet in the mix, Gary Trent Jr. will serve as the team's de facto starting point guard, although Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam stand to have elevated assists upside as well. The team may just be exercising caution with VanVleet on the first night of a back-to-back with Wednesday against the Bulls serving as his next chance to suit up.

Sat Jan 1 202208:59Fred VanVleet Scores Game-High 31 Points In Friday's Win
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet struggled mightily from the field with a 10-for-27 effort against the Clippers on Friday but still ended up leading all scorers with 31 points in a 116-108 win. He hit four shots from deep with 13 attempts and finished with a 7-for-8 record at the line, dishing out nine assists with one turnover and adding four rebounds, two steals and one block to his line. If we ignore the shooting, this was a very good effort from VanVleet, who averaged 29.7 points per game in his final three 2021 outings. He now heads into a matchup against the Knicks, which hasn't suited him very well this season. VanVleet has shot below 38 percent from the field against the Knicks in two games, averaging 17 points.

Tue Dec 21 202114:15Fred Vanvleet Placed In COVID-19 Protocols
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet has been placed in the league's health and safety protocols. The Raptors are now up to seven players in protocols with Precious Achiuwa and Scottie Barnes joining the list earlier. That being said, the Raptors are going to be extremely shorthanded for Wednesday's matchup against the Chicago Bulls. David Johnson and Brandon Goodwin would be looking at significant minutes. However, neither are trustworthy enough to roster in standard formats.

Sun Dec 19 202109:48Fred VanVleet Leads The Charge With 27 Points, 12 Assists
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet compiled a 27-point, 12-assist double-double and added seven rebounds, three steals and one block in Saturday's 119-100 win over Golden State. He finished with 9-for-17 shooting from the floor and hit an outstanding 6-for-10 from deep. His juicy fantasy line didn't include any turnovers either. VanVleet is starting to roll against after a lackluster stretch of games, going for 58 points across his last two outings. He is set to start next week against a depleted Orlando team and his hot stretch should continue in the matchup.

Wed Dec 15 202114:58Fred VanVleet Posts 31-4-9 Line During Loss Tuesday
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet logged 31 points, four rebounds, and nine assists during a 131-129 overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. The 27-year-old shot 10-for-23 from the field, including 6-for-14 from deep, and a perfect 5-for-5 from the line. The Wichita State product also added two steals and four turnovers across 47 minutes. VanVleet is enjoying a terrific 2021-2022 campaign, averaging 19.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists,3.3 triples, and 1.6 steals on a career-best 43.0% shooting from the field, including 38.9% behind the arc, and 86.4% from the line. Fri Dec 3 202108:33Fred VanVleet Leads Raptors To Victory Thursday Night
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet notched a game-high 29 points on 9-for-17 shooting against the Bucks on Thursday, helping his side to a 97-93 win. He finished 5-for-10 from deep and scored 13 of his points in the fourth quarter. VanVleet collected five rebounds and produced four assists with three turnovers and one block. The Raptors N0. 23 is currently having his best scoring stretch of the season, going for at least 23 points in four of his past five games. Next up, VanVleet has an interesting matchup against Washington. The Wizards have impressed this season, but their defense has started to slip recently and it looks like another pretty good spot for VanVleet to enjoy a productive game. He scored a season-high 33 points a month ago when these teams met for the first time this season.

Mon Nov 29 202108:00Fred VanVleet Scores Game-High 27 Points With Five Triples
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet had it going on from deep with a 5-for-10 mark against Boston on Sunday, and it helped him to finish a losing effort with a game-high 27 points. He shot 8-for-16 from the field overall and 6-for-7 at the line, bagging six rebounds and three assists with two steals and three turnovers in 40 minutes. This marks the third time this season VanVleet has made at least five shots from behind the arc. He's shooting a very solid 42 percent from deep this month. The 27-year-old sniper will now have one night off before taking on Memphis and their least-efficient defense in the league. It's also a great matchup for VanVleet in terms of three-point shooting, as the Grizzlies give up a league-high 14.2 makes from outside per game.

Mon Nov 15 202120:47Fred VanVleet Will Suit Up For Monday’s Contest
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (groin) has been cleared to play in Monday's game against Portland. VanVleet returns after a one-game absence due to a groin ailment, coming off a scintillating 32-point effort Thursday. At 38.6 minutes played per game, VanVleet is the league's ironman at this stage, with much of Toronto's offensive rhythm flowing through him. Goran Dragic bumped into the starting five during VanVleet's brief absence, but his DFS value stands to swing back to its limited upside. The matchup is particularly tantalizing for VanVleet, as Portland has allowed the opposition to knock down threes at a 38 percent clip, the fourth-highest mark in the league.

Sun Nov 14 202121:33Fred VanVleet Uncertain For Matchup Against Portland
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (groin) is questionable for Monday night against Portland. The 27-year-old is currently listed on the league's official injury report because of left groin soreness, an injury that held him out of Saturday's matchup versus Detroit. With Chris Boucher (back) and Precious Achiuwa also carrying the same designation, Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr., and OG Anunoby could all see a bump in usage and +/- differential, while Goran Dragic, who had 16 points, five rebounds, and two steals against the Pistons, would be the favorite for another start.

Fri Nov 12 202110:16Fred VanVleet Leads Raptors With 32-7-6 Line
In an important 115-109 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet took over with a monster line. In 40 minutes, FVV recorded 32 points, seven assists, six rebounds, a steal, and six three-pointers. It was the third time in the last five games where the 27-year old played at least 40 minutes. With Pascal Siakam (neck) missing, the 2019 NBA Champion shouldered the offensive workload and did what he had to do for the win. Next up, FVV and the Raptors welcome the Pistons north of the border as they look to close out Week 4 with another victory.
