Williams scored 12 points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT) with six assists in 27 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Hornets.
Seven different Nets scored between eight and 12 points, and no one saw more court time than Williams, but the balanced approach didn't produce a win for Brooklyn. The point guard is now averaging 15.0 points, 6.5 assists, 3.4 boards, 1.3 threes and 1.1 steals in his last eight games.

Williams scored 22 points (8-19 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 34 minutes Monday against the Warriors.
Maybe the most encouraging thing to take from Monday's game is that Williams played 34 minutes and Jarrett Jack played 28 minutes. Jack saw decent minutes Monday and Williams was still able to play at least 33 minutes for the sixth consecutive game. If he can stay healthy, he could be a strong fantasy option down the stretch.

Williams scored 25 points (9-14 FG, 4-6 3pt, 3-4 FT) with six rebounds and two assists in the win over the Mavericks on Saturday.
Williams has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence of late, scoring in double digits in six straight games, including two double-doubles in that span. He's a good bet to keep this current level of production up as the Nets try to stay in the playoff race. Williams is solid starting option in most 10-12 team leagues right now.

Williams scored 16 points (6-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with 12 assists, five rebounds and a steal in 33 minutes during Monday's win over the Nuggets.
That's back-to-back double-doubles for Williams since rejoining the Nets' starting lineup. As long as he manages to stay healthy, he's capable of putting up some very good backcourt numbers to close out the season.
Sat Feb 21 201504:43Williams reentered starting lineup Friday
Williams reentered the starting lineup Friday. He scored 12 points (6-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and added four rebounds, 15 assists, two steals, and one block in 40 minutes against the Lakers.
Games like this mostly serve to remind managers of how great Williams once was. Unfortunately, at this point in his career, this is more mirage than reality, and managers should expect most nights to be worse than this one.
Fri Feb 20 201515:56Williams expected to start at point guard in Friday's game again...
Williams is expected to start at point guard in Friday's game against the Lakers.
Williams will re-enter the Nets' starting lineup in wake on teammate Jarrett Jack being ruled out Friday due to a hamstring problem. Certainly no stranger to running the point, Williams has averaged 15.6 points and 6.8 assists through 25 starts this season.

Williams (illness) played 23 minutes Monday in the loss to the Bucks, but failed to score (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt). He had four assists.
Williams was questionable to play and did not practice with the team on Monday morning. He has only scored eight points in his last three games, while hitting just 2-of-22 (11.1 percent) of his field goals. He should be benched until he comes out of his funk.
Mon Feb 9 201518:57Williams (illness) expected to play Monday against Bucks
Williams (illness) is expected to play Monday against the Bucks, Tim Bontemps of the New York Post reports.
Williams missed shootaround due to illness, but he's at the arena for pregame warmups and appears on track to play, barring a setback. Since returning from an extended absence brought on by a rib injury, Williams is averaging 8.5 points and 5.5 assists over his last four games.
Mon Feb 9 201512:03Deron Williams: (Illness) Game-Time Call Monday
Williams is dealing with an illness and was not at Monday's morning shootaround, Newday's Rod Boone reports.
He will be a game-time decision Monday, so owners will need to monitor his status leading up to tip-off. Jarrett Jack would become even more valuable than he already is if Williams cannot go Monday, and Darius Morris would likely see some time off the bench.

Williams scored 11 points (4-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with six assists and three rebounds in 33 minutes off the bench Wednesday.
The production isn't there yet, but Williams' fantasy owners have to like seeing him get this kind of workload in just his second game back in the lineup from his rib injury. Jarrett Jack has played very well in his absence as the starting point guard, but Williams should reclaim the job in the near future, perhaps as soon as Friday's juicy matchup against the Knicks.
Mon Feb 2 201522:31Williams (ribs) scored 15 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go...
Williams (ribs) scored 15 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with three rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes Monday against the Clippers.
Williams was able to play significant minutes in his first game back, but came off the bench behind Jarrett Jack. He will likely continue to come off the bench for the Nets, which will limit his fantasy value even when he is healthy.
Mon Feb 2 201517:44Williams (ribs) will play Monday against Clippers
Williams (ribs) will play Monday against the Clippers, Newsday's Rod Boone reports.
Williams has missed the last 11 games since fracturing cartilage in his rib, but he'll return to action Monday, albeit in limited action. He'll come off the bench and will likely be limited to fewer than 20 minutes as he works his way back into game shape. Williams conceded his starting spot to Jarrett Jack earlier in the season, and Jack went for 35 points and 13 assists in Friday's loss to Toronto.
Sun Feb 1 201513:18Deron Williams: (Ribs) May Return Monday
Williams (ribs) practiced in full Sunday and is considered questionable to play against the Clippers on Monday, ESPN's Mike Mazzeo reports.
The status of the oft-injured Williams will be updated following Monday's morning shootaround. Williams has been off the court since Jan. 7 and will be eased back into action when he makes his eventual comeback.

Williams (ribs) went through parts of Thursday's practice but will not play Friday against the Raptors, Rod Boone of Newsday reports.
Williams has missed 10 straight games while nursing a rib injury, and he remains without a target return date. However, the fact that he's practicing with partial contact is certainly a step in the right direction, and it appears likely he'll be back on the court within the next week or so. Consider Williams optimistically questionable to play Monday against the Clippers.
Tue Jan 27 201513:56Williams (ribs) ruled out for Wednesday's game in Atlanta
Williams (ribs) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game in Atlanta.
Williams took part in non-contact portions of Tuesday's practice but is yet to return to full speed work. He remains day-to-day and will miss his 10th straight game. Jarrett Jack and Darius Morris will continue to handle point guard duties in Williams' absence.
Wed Jan 21 201520:57Deron Williams: (Ribs) Won't Play On Road Trip
Williams (ribs) has started non-contact work on the court but won't make an appearance during the Nets' three-game road trip, CSN New England reports.
Williams requires additional time to recover from fractured rib cartilage, and as a result, he won't play Wednesday at Sacramento, Thursday at the Clippers, or Saturday in Utah, meaning his next chance to suit up arrives Monday against the Blazers. As long as he's sidelined, coach Lionel Hollins will trot out Jarrett Jack at point guard.
Wed Jan 21 201520:34Deron Williams: (Ribs) May Not Play Through Saturday
Williams (ribs) may not play during the remainder of the Nets' current road trip, which concludes Saturday in Utah, Newsday reports.
Sidelined since Jan. 7 due to fractured rib cartilage, Williams is believed to be approaching a return to the court, as he's currently present on the Nets' three-game road swing. If he indeed remains on the pine through Saturday, his next opportunity to take the court arrives Monday against the Blazers. In the meantime, though, coach Lionel Hollins will stick with Jarrett Jack at the point.
Wed Jan 21 201510:19Williams (ribs) out Wednesday
Williams (ribs) is out Wednesday, despite traveling with the Nets to Sacramento, Andy Vasquez of the New Jersey Record reports.
Since Williams traveled with the Nets, it's possible that he could return Thursday in their game against the Clippers. Williams has now missed seven games with the injury.
Tue Jan 20 201512:49Williams (ribs) ran on antigravity treadmill Tuesday
Williams (ribs) ran on an antigravity treadmill Tuesday, Andy Vasquez of The Record reports.
While it's encouraging to see Williams working on his conditioning, he's still dealing with discomfort, and coach LIonel Hollins said he's not sure if Williams will join the team on its upcoming three-game road swing. The trip begins Wednesday in Sacramento and ends Saturday in Utah, so if Williams stays back, the earliest he could return would be Monday versus the Trail Blazers. Williams has already missed six straight games, and the Nets are just 1-5 in that span.
Mon Jan 19 201513:57Williams (ribs) didn't practice with team Monday
Williams (ribs) didn't practice with the team Monday, but was spotted doing work by himself afterward, The Record reports.
Williams is dealing with pain from fractured rib cartilage, but appears to be making progress towards a return. He still remains without a concrete timetable for return, but will be re-evaluated Wednesday. It seems unlikely he will return for the team's game against the Kings that day, but he will almost certainly need to get in a practice with the team Tuesday for any chance at rejoining the lineup Wednesday.
