Williams (ribs) will miss the next two games as he continues to deal with pain, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN reports.

This news doesn't come as much of a surprise since Williams has only played four minutes over the past six games as he continues to deal with that fractured rib. The 30-year-old is rehabbing, however, and admits that the situation is improving despite his continued absence from the court.

Williams (ribs) will be re-evaluated Wednesday and has not started physical activity, Tim Bontemps of the New York Post reports.

Williams will miss both games this weekend and it seems unlikely he'll play on the team's three-game Western Conference road swing next week, which begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday. It's important to note that Williams has not officially been ruled out for next week's contests, but considering he hasn't begun physical activity, it seems highly unlikely he takes the court.

Williams (ribs) is without a return timetable, the New York Post reports. "I'm still pretty sore. I don't have a timetable, just taking it one day at a time," Williams said. "There's nothing you can do, really. They're doing some laser and heating it up; just rest. Other than that, there's nothing really you can do."

Williams has missed the team's last three games with fractured rib cartilage, and he said the Nets' medical staff has refused to give him a timetable. It's difficult to estimate when he may return, but given the fact that he's still experiencing soreness, he'll likely miss at least another handful of games. The Nets play Wednesday, Friday and Saturday but are then off until the following Wednesday, so perhaps Williams could be brought back following the three-day break.

An MRI revealed Williams has a fractured rib and he's out indefinitely, Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports.

Williams has been dealing with a left side injury for the past few days, and an MRI on Thursday morning revealed the fracture. The Nets will re-evaluated Williams in one week, but it's unknown just how much time he'll miss. Until further notice, it's safe to rule him out for Brooklyn's next four games versus Philadelphia (Friday), Detroit (Saturday), Houston (Monday) and Memphis (Wednesday).

Williams (hip) re-injured his left side in the first half of Wednesday's loss to Boston and did not play in the second half, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Williams' fantasy value is in a bit of a holding pattern right now, but if he were to be traded to a contender, there is a chance he could start seeing 30-plus minutes per game once again.

Williams has now played well in back-to-back games off the bench, while Jarrett Jack has struggled during the same stretch. Williams may need to miss some time due to his hip, but as long as he's in trade discussions Williams is sure to get minutes, when healthy.

Jarrett Jack has been starting and playing effectively for the Nets, but he had a bad game against the Magic (six points, six turnovers). This could open the door for Williams to win back his starting spot and earn some more minutes. However, this was the first game in which Williams outplayed Jack, so the situation likely won't change yet.

Williams will continue playing off the bench Friday against the Magic, the New York Daily News reports.

The Nets will continue using Jarrett Jack as the starting point guard so that they can limit Williams' minutes. He has averaged about 20 minutes per game since returning to action Dec. 27 and figures to play around the same Friday.

While Williams sat, his replacement, Jarrett Jack, erupted for 27 points. If he's healthy, though, Williams will move back into his starting role, especially if the Nets want to try to shop him around before the trade deadline. Williams is on pace to surpass his numbers from last season in points, assists and rebounds and is a decent fantasy option when he's inserted back into the starting lineup.
