Jerryd Bayless will not play against the Kings on Sunday due to a sore right knee.

There was no report prior to this news and this will be a tough pill to swallow for his owners. He played 28.2 minutes per game over his last five and the Grizzlies will likely call upon Tony Allen to fill the void with Quincy Pondexter replacing Bayless' second-unit scoring.

Jerryd Bayless missed all eight of his field goals attempts on Wednesday, finishing a win in Portland with two points and seven assists.

It was just an off night for Bayless, who finished March averaging 13.5 points, 1.7 threes and 2.8 assists. Continue to use him as you have been, in the expectation that he'll bounce back vs. the Lakers on Friday.

His offense will be even more crucial with Marc Gasol sidelined by an abdominal tear, which means he's worth deploying if you need help with points, 3s and FT percentage.

He was bleeding a little and he went to the locker room for the training staff to patch him up. Bayless should be fine and he's been playing well since the Rudy Gay trade.

Bayless has cooled off over his last few games, but the 10 dimes and three steals tonight were good to see. He's splitting time with Tony Allen, and both players are worth keeping an eye on going forward, as the Memphis schedule works out nicely in fantasy leagues that use head-to-head playoffs.

Pick him up and plan on using him until he cools off. Just be aware that he won't continue to shoot it this well for much longer.
