Bayless has good games like this from time to time, but his role off the bench isn't significant enough for him to be of use in standard leagues. Through 11 games in January, Bayless has averaged 6.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.2 three-pointers in 23 minutes per game. He'd need a lot more minutes to be of use in standard leagues, so don't reach for him based on one good game.

Bayless returned from a one-game absence Friday and assumed his normal obligations off the bench. He currently is a limited option in most formats and will likely continue to see around the 20.7 minutes that he's been averaging this season.

It appears that Bayless has lost his starting spot for good to Antetokounmpo, and will only have fantasy value in standard leagues if any of the Buck's guards get hurt again.

Bayless will get the start at shooting guard, as Kris Middleton has to move to small forward with the ankle injury keeping Giannis Antetokounmpo out of Friday's game. This will be Bayless' first start of the year and he should play in more minutes than his season average of 19. As soon as Antetokounmpo is healthy, Bayless will head back to the bench, so this starting run will most likely be short-lived.

The 25-year-old is expected to provide a steady back-up option at both guard positions for the Bucks this upcoming season.

He would likely go to Milwaukee as the primary back up to point guard Brandon Knight, providing some offense off the bench. This move also indicates that free agent Ramon Sessions will not be returning to Milwaukee next season. Bayless' ability to contribute to multiple categories is limited and he should not be on fantasy radars heading into next season.
