Fri Jul 13 201219:53Wolves renounce rights to Anthony Tolliver
The Wolves renounced their rights to free agent Anthony Tolliver on Friday.
This was done to clear up cap space for the pending Nicolas Batum offer sheet, and David Kahn has not ruled out bringing him back. The Bulls, Mavs, Cavs, and Lakers have all expressed interest in the outside-shooting big man.

Thu Jul 12 201215:45Several teams interested in FA Tolliver
The Bulls, Mavericks, Cavaliers, Lakers and Timberwolves are all said to be interested in signing free agent F Anthony Tolliver.
Tolliver has looked very good at times over the past couple seasons and the potential for him to continue to develop is there. However, actual fantasy value is still a longshot after he averaged just four points on 39 percent shooting last season in Minnesota.

Sat Jul 7 201213:22Cavaliers interested in FA Anthony Tolliver
The Cavaliers are among the teams interested in unrestricted FA Anthony Tolliver.
Tolliver had a mini-breakout with the Warriors in 2009-10, but he struggled last season with the Wolves, averaging just 4.1 points on 39 percent shooting, with 3.0 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. It would require an ideal situation for Tolliver to reclaim significant fantasy appeal.

Sun Jul 1 201220:02Wolves interested in re-signing Tolliver
The Wolves told unrestricted free agent Anthony Tolliver that they are interested in re-signing him after they make other moves.
Tolliver profiles well as a backup big man with some range that by all reports is a good locker room guy. When pressed into action, he has provided sporadic fantasy value in the past but nothing to write home about, obviously.

Tue Apr 17 201202:05Tolliver plays just six minutes on Monday
Anthony Tolliver played just six minutes on Monday against the Pacers.
Tolliver had his bell rung on Thursday, but we're guessing his lack of minutes has more to do with Rick Adelman evaluating his young stable of hybrid forwards.

Sat Apr 14 201219:15Tolliver will play through injury Saturday
Anthony Tolliver, who apparently had his "bell rung" in Thursday's game, will play on Saturday.
That also explains why he played just 10 minutes in that game. With Kevin Love out and the Wolves generally banged up, Tolliver could play well tonight if he gets enough minutes.

Thu Apr 12 201223:06Tolliver plyas just 10 minutes off the bench
Anthony Tolliver played just 10 minutes off the bench on Thursday, scoring two points on 1-of-2 shooting to go with one steal.
This answers the question about Tolliver's immediate value now doesn't it? Just keep an eye on him in case Rick Adelman starts playing musical big men.

Sat Mar 31 201202:57Tolliver posts mediocre line vs. Celtics
Anthony Tolliver scored eight points on 3-of-5 shooting with four rebounds and one steal in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Tolliver is going to have a tough time with his consistency coming off the bench, and is best suited for deeper leagues now that he's cooling off.

Wed Mar 28 201222:52Anthony Tolliver bounces back with dub-dub
Anthony Tolliver bounced back from Tuesday's disaster with 11 points, 11 rebounds, a block and a 3-pointer in 30 minutes on Wednesday.
He played just 13 minutes on Tuesday and did almost nothing, so this was nice to see if you picked him up recently. We're not sure what the deal was on Tuesday, but he's now hit double figures in five of his last six games, and is averaging 12 points, six boards, a block and a 3-pointer over his last five.

Tue Mar 27 201223:34Tolliver plays just 13 minutes in loss
Anthony Tolliver, who came in averaging 35 minutes, 16 points, six rebounds, a block and a 3-pointer per game over his last three, played just 13 minutes for two points on 1-of-3 shooting Tuesday, along with three quick fouls.
Kevin Love played 38 minutes at center and Derrick Williams saw 41 minutes at power forward, shutting Tolliver out tonight. Tolliver had actually hit double digits in four straight games, and is still averaging nearly 12 points, five boards, a block and a 3-pointer over his last five, despite tonight's dud. There are no early reports of an injury, so his new owners simply have to hope he's not injured, and that he bounces back on Wednesday at Charlotte.

Sun Mar 25 201220:07Anthony Tolliver plays 34 minutes on Sunday
Anthony Tolliver played 34 minutes off the bench in Sunday's home victory, scoring 10 points with two 3-pointers, six rebounds and three assists.
Tolliver is known to some fantasy owners for his incredible play to close out the 2009-10 season with Golden State, but his role in Minnesota has been too small for routine use. He's playing big minutes with Nikola Pekovic out and Derrick Williams (seven points in 18 minutes) still learning the ropes in the NBA, so give him a look if you need short-term value.

Sat Mar 24 201202:24Tolliver scores season-high 23 points
Anthony Tolliver scored a season-high 23 points in Friday's double-overtime loss to the Thunder, hitting 9-of-13 shots from the field (including two threes) with seven rebounds and a block in 44 minutes off the bench.
Tolliver was clearly helped by the overtime period and injuries to Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and Michael Beasley (toe). He outplayed Derrick Williams (12 points, two rebounds, 24 minutes) and now has three solid games under his belt. We're not excited about Tolliver's long-term outlook unless Pek's injury somehow worsens, but gambling that he can keep it up in the short-term is certainly a viable option.

Thu Mar 22 201201:41Anthony Tolliver plays well in loss to Spurs
Anthony Tolliver came off the bench for 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks on 6-of-10 shooting in 31 minutes on Wednesday.
Nikola Pekovic was out with an ankle injury, and could miss more games, Michael Beasley was limited with his toe issue, and the Wolves appear to be done with Darko Milicic. Given how well Tolliver played tonight, and the fact he can play center, it's possible that Tolliver could be in line for solid minutes as long as Pekovic is out. Give Tolliver a look, and think about grabbing him if he plays well again on Friday. Derrick Williams started tonight, but Tolliver could possibly get tagged for the next one.

Anthony Tolliver (wrist) returned to action on Monday and played five minutes.
Tolliver is buried in the rotation right now and we'll let you know if he makes any noise. Until then he's waiver wire fodder.

Thu Jan 19 201201:38Anthony Tolliver plays well in 27 minutes
Anthony Tolliver had 11 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block in 27 minutes off the Wolves bench on Wednesday.
Tolliver failed to score in his previous game and has hit double figures just four times this season. Unless you're in a very deep league, the Minnesota Anthonys (Tolliver and Randolph) should be left on waivers for now.

Fri Jan 6 201212:38Anthony Tolliver (wrist) will play on Friday
Anthony Tolliver (wrist) is available to play on Friday.
Tolliver missed Thursday's practice with back and wrist ailments but will be able to play on Friday. He isn't worth owning in most leagues right now as he's been splitting minutes with Anthony Randolph off the bench.

Thu Jan 5 201216:46Tolliver misses practice on Thursday
Anthony Tolliver (back, wrist) missed practice on Thursday.
Tolliver took a hard fall vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday night and will see how he feels on Friday before he makes a decision on if he will play in the Wolves game vs. the Cavs. Tolliver has been splitting backup minutes with Anthony Randolph for Minnesota, and isn't worth owning in most formats right now.

Sun Jan 1 201221:30Anthony Tolliver could start at SF for Wolves
Anthony Tolliver played well in 24 minutes off the bench on Sunday, scoring 13 points and grabbing six rebounds in a win over the Mavericks, and could be in line for the starting SF job if Micheal Beasley (finger) misses any games.
Tolliver made 5-of-8 FGs and 3-of-5 threes, and deserves to be watched closely in fantasy leagues in light of Beasley's injury. He has a very fantasy-friendly game and could return reliable value if he carves out a 30+ minute role.

Sat Dec 31 201102:59Tolliver strong in 27 minutes against Heat
Anthony Tolliver had 10 points, seven rebounds and a 3-pointer in 27 minutes off the Wolves bench on Friday.
He got hot and Rick Adelman chose to ride Tolliver and Anthony Randolph instead of Michael Beasley tonight, which is quite confusing. Neither Tolliver or Randolph is worth owning right now, but could be if this is the beginning of a Beasley trip to the doghouse. Just monitor the situation for now and see how the minutes are divided on Sunday.

Sat Nov 12 201110:24Tolliver to RW: We won't take horrible deal
Anthony Tolliver told Aaron Bruski on Saturday that he doesn't think the owners are bluffing with their threat to reduce their current offer.
Tolliver is the Wolves' player rep and is on his way to Monday's critical NBPA meeting to discuss the owners' proposal. Between now and then the players and agents are going to poll internally and determine if they'll present this offer for a membership vote. They may also choose to float a counterproposal back to the NBA in hopes they'll budge a bit to avoid losing a season. Ultimately, if they reject the offer they have an almost-guaranteed chance of getting a considerably worse offer when they eventually fold. Decertification has its prospects, but would be a 1-2 year effort.
