Sun Oct 14 201220:20Beaubois (ankle) won't play on Monday
Rodrigue Beaubois (sprained left ankle) is out for Monday's game vs. Houston.
Roddy participated in at least part of Sunday's practice, even staying for an extra hour of workouts, and it doesn't sound like he'll be out much longer.

Fri Oct 12 201215:00Roddy Beaubois works out with Mavericks
Roddy Beaubois (sprained left ankle) worked out with the Mavericks on Friday, but didn't partake in any contact.
Beaubois' injury shouldn't keep him out of the regular season, but the Mavs will probably take it easy on him for the rest of preseason.

Mon Oct 8 201208:28Beaubois out Tuesday, but doing better
Roddy Beaubois' sprained left ankle will keep him out Tuesday against FC Barcelona.
However, he has lost his walking boot and is reportedly doing better, so this doesn't sound like a long-term injury. He should see plenty of back up minutes for the guard-heavy Mavericks this season, but still has a lot of work ahead of him if he's going to break out. Consider him a last-round flier, at best.

Sat Oct 6 201216:18Beaubois sprains his ankle in Germany
Roddy Beaubois suffered a sprained ankle in the preseason contest in Germany on Saturday.
The injury is to his left ankle and it "could be seriously hurt," according to Earl Sneed. Roddy Buckets broke his left foot in 2011, but this injury seems to be unrelated. Even though Dallas is thinner than usual, he's not quite worth drafting in most formats.

Tue Oct 2 201207:44Roddy Beaubois entering season fully healthy
Roddy Beaubois is entering the season 100 percent healthy.
Beaubois has been slowed by various ailments throughout his brief career, but he's coming into his fourth season ready to go. However, Beaubois has missed 93 of a possible 230 games, and with the depth in the Mavs backcourt this season, he's going to have to show quite a bit to see a consistent enough role in the rotation that will result in fantasy value. For what it's worth, Rick Carlisle praised Beaubois again, saying he's in the best condition of his career.

Thu Sep 20 201209:22Carlisle: This is the year for Roddy Beaubois
Rick Carlisle expects Roddy Beaubois to have a breakout season.
"He's done a lot of good things over a three or four-year period, and this is the year that he's gonna put it all together," he said. Carlisle acknowledged that Beaubois has an injury history, but praised his versatility in the process. Beaubois will be free to play his game, but the Mavs have a ton of depth at both guard spots. Despite flashes of productivity in his career, fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him.

Wed Aug 22 201211:51Roddy Beaubois using boxing in offseason
Roddy Beaubois has been using a boxing training regimen during the offseason.
Mark Cuban told ESPN Dallas that Beaubois is "bigger" and "stronger" than he was last season, but then went on to say that he'll have "a chance to compete, just like everybody." With a crowded backcourt and a history of injuries, Beaubois will have to prove his value to earn consistent minutes.

Sun Apr 29 201200:32Roddy B picks up DNP-CD on Saturday
Roddy Beaubois did not play in Game 1 vs. the Thunder on Saturday.
Roddy has been bothered by a dislocated finger, but it doesn't seem that was the cause of his inactivity. More likely, coach Rick Carlisle simply preferred different matchups with veterans Delonte West (five points), Jason Kidd (eight points, six rebounds, five assists, seven steals), Jason Terry (20 points, four 3-pointers) and Vince Carter (13 points, seven rebounds). The Mavs nearly stole a win in Oklahoma, so there's no indication that Roddy will rejoin the rotation.

Sat Apr 21 201223:01Beaubois plays well despite dislocated finger
Roddy Beaubois played through a dislocated finger on Saturday, posting 16 points, two 3s, six rebounds, five assists and one steal without Jason Kidd or Jason Terry in the lineup.
The injury could irritate Beaubois for a while, hurting his FG percentage or causing more turnovers, etc., and this might be the Mavericks' cue to rest him for a game or two. That's speculation for now, but fantasy owners should monitor his status all the same.

Sat Apr 21 201220:59Roddy Beaubois leaves w/ hand injury
Roddy Beaubois left Saturday's game with a left hand injury, and it's unclear whether he will return.
The Mavericks are already playing without Jason Kidd and Jason Terry (rest), and losing Roddy for any length of time would be terrible for their playoff momentum. We'll update his status once more is known.

Thu Apr 19 201200:09Roddy B (calf) plays nine minutes in return
Roddy Beaubois returned from a two-game absence due to a calf injury on Wednesday night, but played just nine minutes on his way to two points and four rebounds.
With the Mavericks facing a back-to-back starting on Friday (against the fantasy-friendly defense of the Warriors), Beaubois could be in line for some extra run as the team gets ready for the playoffs. Still, it's hard to trust him at this point in most leagues.

Wed Apr 18 201212:34Roddy Beaubois set to return vs. Rockets
Roddy Beaubois (calf) is expected to return on Wednesday against the Rockets.
Beaubois has missed two straight games with the injury, but clearly it's not serious. Despite the fact that he'll be back, his fantasy value has taken a serious hit with the logjam in the backcourt. He belongs on waiver wires.

Mon Apr 16 201220:02Beaubois (valf) expected to play on Monday
Roddy Beaubois (calf) will not play on Monday against the Jazz.
A report emerged saying that Beaubois was expected to play but quickly amended with news that he was out. His fantasy value is in the drain due to this injury, and also the logjam in the Mavs' backcourt.

Sun Apr 15 201214:46Roddy Beaubois won't play Sunday
Roddy Beaubois (calf) will not play in Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Beaubois is expected to return for Monday's game in Utah, so his right calf strain clearly isn't serious at all. The bigger concern for Beaubois backers is that Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Delonte West and Jason Terry are all healthy.

Sat Apr 14 201201:27Beaubois leaves early with calf strain
Roddy Beaubois left Friday's game due to a right calf strain and did not return, finishing with three points on 1-of-3 shooting (including a three) and one assist in 12 minutes.
This injury will probably end up saving owners a hassle in the long run, as Beaubois' elusive upside paired with the Mavs' injury-riddled backcourt might have resulted in an unproductive add for some. We're calling him day-to-day until we get an update.

Fri Apr 13 201201:09Beaubois scores 11 points with five dimes
Roddy Beaubois scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 21 minutes off the bench against the Warriors on Thursday.
This is the best matchup he can get, so owners may want to evaluate this line as his ceiling under the current rotation. If that type of ceiling works for you, give him a look.

Tue Apr 10 201223:55Roddy Beaubois scores 15 in win
Roddy Beaubois had a nice game off the bench on Tuesday, scoring 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the stripe while adding five boards and two assists.
Beaubois hasn't been knocking down many 3-pointers as of late but he is a cheap source of points for those in deep league. He's been streaky all year and isn't the most reliable but he can be used as a plug-and-play.

Sat Apr 7 201202:45Beaubois scores 10 points off the bench
Roddy Beaubois scored 10 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 5-of-14 shots (0-for-5 from deep) with one rebound and five assists in 25 minutes.
Beaubois is an interesting character right now because Delonte West is suddenly dealing with an ankle injury and Jason Kidd is out through Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, at least. The Mavs will likely end up having both West and Kidd healthy enough to cap any upside that Buckets might have, but if not, he'll be back on the fantasy radar right away.

Tue Apr 3 201201:45Beaubois plays 16 minutes with Kidd out
Roddy Beaubois played 16 minutes on Monday, scoring seven points on 3-of-8 shooting (1-of-6 from deep) with one rebound, two assists, and three turnovers.
There's not much to glean from this line, but with Jason Kidd (groin) out for a week, Beaubois is worth monitoring in fantasy leagues. Delonte West scored just six points with four assists, and nobody in a Mavs uniform looked all that great.

Sat Mar 31 201206:38Beaubois a DNP-CD on Friday vs. Magic
Roddy Beaubois did not play due to coach's decision on Friday against the Magic.
Not only did Delonte West return to action to muddy the waters, he kicked Buckets out of his rotation spot and went on to score 15 points with three rebounds and five assists on Friday. We don't know yet if Rick Carlisle is shortening his rotation in preparation for the playoffs, but it doesn't really matter when weighing Beaubois' value. He has none for now.
