Fri Mar 25 201123:35Kevin Frandsen signs on with D'Backs
Diamondbacks signed INF Kevin Frandsen to a minor league contract.
That didn't take long. Frandsen was released by the Padres earlier Friday but has already hooked on with another NL West team. He might have to begin the season at Triple-A, but Frandsen figures to see some major league action this season.

Wed Jan 5 201118:02Padres ink Kevin Frandsen to minors contract
Padres signed INF Kevin Frandsen to a minor league contract.
The 28-year-old infielder can earn $575,000 if he makes the Padres' major league roster, but that seems unlikely. Frandsen hit just .250/.294/.319 with 14 RBI in 160 at-bats last year for the Angels.

Thu Dec 2 201021:47Angels non-tender Kevin Frandsen
Angels non-tendered INF Kevin Frandsen.
Frandsen is the team's only non-tender, meaning that they will keep Jeff Mathis and Reggie Willits. The 28-year-old infielder batted .250/.294/.319 with 14 RBI and a 613 OPS in 160 at-bats this past season. The Angels have considerable infield depth, so they could afford to cut him loose.
Tue Sep 7 201010:03Angels recall Frandsen from AAA Salt Lake
Angels recalled INF Kevin Frandsen from Triple-A Salt Lake.
The 28-year-old Frandsen will provide the Angels with infield depth through the end of the 2010 season. He's batting .288 this year in 139 at-bats.
Mon Jun 14 201019:45Frandsen starting at first base
Kevin Frandsen will make his first major league start at first base against the Brewers on Monday night.
Interesting. As Woike notes, he will be the third Angels' player to make his major league debut at first base this season. Though he hasn't played there in the major leagues, Frandsen played 17 games at first base with Triple-A Fresno (Giants) last season.

Sun May 9 201002:53Angels' Frandsen goes 3-for-4 in victory
Starting over Brandon Wood, Kevin Frandsen went 3-for-4 Saturday as the Angels edged the Mariners 4-3 in 10 innings.
Frandsen is more of a natural at second, and he did commit an error tonight. Still, if he can get hot, the Angels should give him plenty of playing time. Brandon Wood's pair of three-hit games a couple of weeks ago hasn't led to bigger and better things.
Sat May 8 201015:05Angels call up second baseman Frandsen
Angels recalled 2B Kevin Frandsen from Triple-A Salt Lake City.
Frandsen has racked up the frequent flyer miles so far this season, having spent time in the Giants, Red Sox, and now Angels organizations, but he's finally made it back up to the majors. His call-up is likely a sign that Macier Iztruis will miss a bit of time, whether he's placed on the disabled list or not.
Mon May 3 201009:18Frandsen 7-for-15 at AAA since being claimed
Kevin Frandsen is 7-for-15 (.467) at Triple-A Salt Lake since being claimed off waivers last week by the Angels.
Frandsen has also flashed impressive versatility on the field, making starts at second base, shortstop and third base during his short time in Utah. The Red Sox designated him for assignment in late April to make room for Alan Embree and the Angels showed interest almost immediately. Perhaps Frandsen will find his way to the big leagues at some point this season.

Fri Apr 30 201012:06Angels option Frandsen to Triple-A
Angels optioned INF Kevin Frandsen to Triple-A Salt Lake.
He was claimed off waivers from the Red Sox on Thursday. Frandsen, who turns 28 in May, was batting .258/.343/.403 over 62 at-bats with Triple-A Pawtucket. He doesn't really fit in the context of the Angels' infield right now, but would be the first to get a call should there be an injury.
Thu Apr 29 201016:27Angels claim Frandsen off waivers from Sox
Angels claimed INF Kevin Frandsen off waivers from the Red Sox.
Frandsen was designated for assignment on Wednesday by the Red Sox and lasted less than 24 hours on the waiver wire. He was batting .258/.343/.403 in 62 at-bats for Triple-A Pawtucket before the Sox dumped him. The Angels don't really have any use for him right now, but he's a fine insurance option.
Wed Apr 28 201008:36Red Sox designate Frandsen for assignment
Red Sox designated INF Kevin Frandsen for assignment.
He was cleared in order to make room for left-hander Alan Embree on the 40-man roster. Frandsen was just acquired from the Giants in late-March and was batting .258/.343/.403 over 62 at-bats with Triple-A Pawtucket.
