Porter (ankle) played 34 minutes off the bench in Saturday's win over the Raptors.

Coach Randy Wittman decided to run Paul Pierce at power forward, utilizing Porter's length on the Raptors' DeMar DeRozan. Even in increased playing time, Porter produced five points, five rebounds, and two steals. Given Game 1's win, Porter should see similar minutes until he becomes a liability.

Porter (ankle) practiced Thursday and said his ankle is fine, CSN's J. Michael reports.

Porter left Wednesday's game against the Cavs with a sprained ankle after playing 20 minutes. It looks like the move to hold him out was precautionary, and his participation in practice indicates the ankle shouldn't be an issue going forward.

Porter drew the start in Wednesday's regular season finale and posted four points (2-5 FG) and four rebounds over 20 minutes before exiting the game with a sprained ankle. The Wizards will be off until Saturday before their first round matchup begins, which should allow Porter's ankle enough time to heal. Porter should be considered day-to-day until the Wizards disclose more information.

Porter stuffed the stat sheet in his start Friday against the Knicks, posting 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals, one block, and two treys in 29 minutes of action.

Porter contributed strong fantasy numbers Friday, but it's unlikely that this will translate into long-term value. He got the start for Paul Pierce, who was given the night to rest. Once Pierce returns, Porter will be back to limited production off the bench.

Porter had 15 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to Houston.

Porter logged double-digit minutes Sunday for the first time in five games Sunday. He provided a spark off the bench, hitting 4-of-7 from the floor and knocking down both of his three point attempts. Still, his inconsistent minutes and general inconsistency when he's on the floor make him a non-viable option for your team if you're in the playoffs.

Porter started for the resting Bradley Beal, scoring two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) with one rebound, two assists and one steal in 12 minutes.

Despite starting, Porter saw his minutes reduced from the 29 he was averaging in his previous two down to just 12 in what was yet another curious move from coach Randy Wittman. Porter has value only in dynasty formats at this point.

Porter is starting Saturday's game at Milwaukee.

Because Bradley Beal is receiving the night off, Porter will be afforded a spot start Saturday. In eight previous nods, Porter averaged 10.9 points (on 48 percent shooting), 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, one steal, and one three-pointer in 27 minutes.

Porter scored 19 points (8-19 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and added three rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 37 minutes against the 76ers Friday.

This rates as one of the better games of Porter's young career. He still has a long way to go in order to live up to his third overall selection in the draft two summers ago, but Porter is emerging as a meaningful role player for the Wizards this season.

Porter will jump into the starting lineup since Paul Pierce is currently dealing with a knee injury. The backup will likely see added time on the court but still is a limited option, even in extended minutes.

Porter scored 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt) in 29 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Timberwolves.

It was a decently efficient offensive performance, but Porter failed to contribute much in any other categories. Paul Pierce (knee) will likely return to action on Friday against the Sixers, bumping Porter back to the bench.

Porter is starting for Bradley Beal and had one his best all-around games as a pro in the blowout loss. Beal is day-to-day. While he heals, Porter has some value, particularly in deeper leagues.

Porter started Wednesday's loss to the Raptors with Bradley Beal (foot, lower leg) out, but scored just six points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and had four rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes.

With Beal likely out for a good amount of time with a stress fracture in his leg, Porter, Garrett Temple, Martell Webster and Rasual Butler will all likely see time at shooting guard. Even though Porter is starting, he doesn't get enough work on the offensive end of the floor, and if Butler gets hot from beyond the arc, he'll likely get more minutes off the bench.

Porter will start for Bradley Beal (toe) against the Nets on Saturday.

Beal was removed from Thursday's game after only 11 minutes due to a sore right big toe, but Porter was only afforded 18 minutes versus Rasual Butler's 29. However, in three nods this season, Porter has elevated his workload to 25 minutes per game, which he's used to average 9.3 points (on 52 percent shooting), 4.3 rebounds, and one three-pointer.

Porter got the start in Tuesday's win over the Lakers, finishing with 12 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes.

Porter moved into the starting lineup, as Paul Pierce sat this game out with a toe injury. He played 30 minutes, which was a huge boost from the 17.9 minutes he's averaged so far this season. As soon as Pierce returns though, Porter will move back into his reserve role, where he won't be worth much if anything in fantasy value. Those in the deepest of leagues can keep an eye on him for now, but he shouldn't have much value as soon as Pierce is back.

Porter will start Tuesday's game against the Lakers.

Paul Pierce is out with a toe injury, so Porter gets the start in order for the Wizards to keep their bench unit in tact. Rasual Butler and Martell Webster could both see more minutes than Porter on Tuesday, despite coming off the bench.

Porter returned to the bench Friday against the Bulls. He scored two points (1-3 FG)and grabbed one rebound in seven minutes.

The Wizards controlled this game from early in the first quarter, and is is disappointing that Porter did not benefit. Porter has very little fantasy value in most formats.

Porter scored six points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt) with four rebounds and a steal in 24 minutes during his start on Wednesday.

Daily fantasy league owners hoping to get some cheap production from Porter as he got a spot start in place of the resting Paul Pierce have to be disappointed. The sophomore wing has shown occasional flashes of ability this season, but Porter has yet to start living up to his draft status.
