Jason Repko homered, doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth as the Twins topped the Rays 8-6 on Thursday. | ||||||
Kevin Slowey took a 6-0 lead to the bottom of the eighth, but he, Jesse Crain and Ron Mahay went on to allow six runs in the frame, tying it up. Repko, who homered in the fifth, started the rally in the ninth with a double. After a groundout, an intentional walk to Joe Mauer and another groundout, Jason Kubel popped one to shallow left that hit the catwalk and fell in for an RBI single. The Twins added a second run on Michael Cuddyer's hit. The victory leaves the Twins one game back of the White Sox in the AL Central. | ||||||
