Sat Nov 23 201322:39Bass notches double-digit points vs. Atlanta
Brandon Bass returned to double-digit scoring with 17 points on 5-of-11 FGs and 7-of-7 FTs in Saturday's upset win in Atlanta.
He had played under 23 minutes in each of the past three games, but took advantage of 33 minutes tonight while adding seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks. The likely reason for his increased activity was Kelly Olynyk's absence with a sprained ankle, and he may have short-term value until Boston's starting center returns.

Sat Nov 16 201300:50Brandon Bass can't hit shots Friday
Brandon Bass shot 3-of-11 from the field on Friday for six points with seven boards and two blocks in 29 minutes.
After a nice start to the year, he's slowed to a crawl. In his last three games, Bass averaged just 7.7 points, 6.3 boards and 1.2 blocks in 28 minutes per game. His upside was never too high to begin with, so if there's a hot free agent out there, it makes a lot of sense to make a switch.

Sat Nov 9 201322:38Brandon Bass disappears in win over Heat
Brandon Bass played just 15 minutes and didn't have a single rebound in Saturday's crazy win over the Heat.
He finished with six points and we're going to blame his problems on foul trouble, although it's important to note that Jared Sullinger and Gerald Wallace each played heavy minutes at forward off the bench. Bass played a team-high 37 minutes on Friday and looked great, so don't read too much into this disaster.

Fri Nov 8 201323:21Brandon Bass scores 16 points in 37 minutes
Brandon Bass played a team-high 37 minutes against the Magic in a 91-89 win on Friday, scoring 16 points with seven boards and one block.
He's really the only consistent player on the team, which makes sense as an eight-year veteran. Bass hasn't averaged over 1.0 blocks or 6.2 boards per game in any season, so he's more of a safe play than a guy that can break out. It's not a bad thing to hit singles in fantasy, so he's worth owning in just about every league.

Wed Nov 6 201323:53Brandon Bass scores team-high 20 points
Brandon Bass scored a team-high 20 points with four boards and two blocks in 31 minutes against the Jazz on Wednesday.
He created his shot most of the night and only three of his nine field goals were assisted. Coach Brad Stevens called him "pretty good" in the post game and he's been the most consistent big man on the team. Bass has played at least 23 minutes in every game and he looks to be a safe, low-upside pickup. Although, his career numbers suggest he doesn't block shots and he's not much of a rebounder either.

Sat Nov 2 201301:20Brandon Bass scores 17 points w/ nine boards
Brandon Bass received his second start of the season and had 17 points, nine boards, two assists and one block in 35 minutes.
The return of Jared Sullinger didn't hurt Bass at all tonight and he matched his 17 points from the opener. The sample size is large enough to suggest that this is a fluke from Bass, but this is definitely his best opportunity with the lack of talent in Boston. That said, he doesn't block shots and will have a low ceiling.

Wed Oct 30 201318:10Brandon Bass gets named as the starter
Brandon Bass will start at power forward on Wednesday.
Vitor Faverani put his effective October to good use and he will start at center. Bass and Jared Sullinger will be battling out for minutes at power forward, so they're likely to split the time down the middle.

Mon Oct 28 201314:51Brandon Bass may start at PF for Celtics?
Brandon Bass practiced with the Celtics' presumed starting lineup on Monday, joining Avery Bradley, Jeff Green, Gerald Wallace and Vitor Faverani on the 'green' team.
Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk were on the 'white' team, though with Sullinger at a court hearing this afternoon it's possible he just wasn't ready in time to join the starters. Even if Bass earns the starting nod ahead of Sullinger, both guys will be locked in a battle for PF playing time.

Wed Oct 23 201323:55Brandon Bass plays well off Celtics bench
Brandon Bass had 16 points, nine rebounds and a block in 29 minutes off the Celtics bench Wednesday.
Jared Sullinger sat this one out and it looks like Bass is heading for a bench role. This was his best preseason performance and while he'll have some decent games, he's probably not worth drafting as long as he's coming off the Celtics' bench.

Fri Oct 11 201323:16Bass, Humphries vying for minutes in Boston
Brandon Bass scored just five points but had 10 rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes off the bench in Friday's preseason loss to the Sixers.
Bass went cold hitting only 2-of-8 shots from the field and we're not so much concerned about these numbers as we are his place in the Celtics' frontcourt rotation. Neither Bass or tonight's starting PF Kris Humphries (four points, 2-of-6 FGs, two rebounds, two steals, 15 minutes) have the fantasy game to provide value in a low-minute role and that's where both guys are heading.

Sun Apr 28 201312:01Brandon Bass to start, Terry back to bench
Brandon Bass will return to the starting lineup on Sunday for Game 4, replacing Jason Terry.
Terry was ineffective in his 35 minutes, scoring 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting to go along with two assists and two steals, so Doc Rivers will go back to Bass for a must-win Game 4. Bass played just 23.5 minutes in Game 3, scoring three points with seven rebounds.

Fri Apr 12 201322:37Bass scores 17 points with nine rebounds
Brandon Bass scored 17 points with nine rebounds on Friday against the Heat.
Bass hit 6-of-9 shots and all five of his freebies but he did not have a steal or block, which isn't all that unusual. He's been a solid source of points and rebounds lately, making him well worth owning in standard formats.

Sun Apr 7 201320:52Brandon Bass scores team-high 20 points
Brandon Bass looked good as the Celtics' starting PF, finishing Sunday's victory with a team-high 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting, six rebounds, one steal, one block and zero turnovers.
Doc Rivers is comfortable starting a big lineup with KG at center, Bass at PF, Jeff Green at SF and Paul Pierce at SG, which makes Bass a borderline must-own fantasy player. He's averaging 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in the past four games, though his roto value is tempered by a dearth of assists and steals (one steal in the past eight games combined).

Fri Apr 5 201323:29Brandon Bass looks solid again Friday
Brandon Bass was solid against the Cavs on Friday, scoring 14 points with seven boards, one assist and two blocks in 39 minutes.
He shot 7-of-14 from the field and missed his only free throw attempt. Bass has been an adept free throw shooter all year, ranking 13th in the league at 85.7 percent. He's been one of the best big men in fantasy leagues since Kevin Garnett went down, but KG could be back Sunday. Bass' value will take a hit, but his owners shouldn't cut him until KG proves to be healthy.

Fri Apr 5 201309:58Rivers praises improvement from Brandon Bass
Doc Rivers praised Brandon Bass for his defensive improvement.
Bass, who has averaged 12.3 points, six rebounds and 1.6 blocks since Kevin Garnett went down, has been more vocal on the defensive end. "Wow, that's really new," Rivers said. For his part, Bass said it's "kind of becoming second nature," which will make his coach happy. When Garnett returns, Bass' fantasy value is slated to take a major hit with Jeff Green playing too well to take off the floor right now.

Sun Mar 31 201322:38Brandon Bass quiet with two points vs. Knicks
Brandon Bass was quiet as the Celtics went small on Sunday, scoring two points with four rebounds and one block in 22 minutes.
Though disappointing, owners shouldn't panic and cut Bass. In the past eight games he is averaging 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks with stellar percentages from the field (57.6 percent) and the FT line (95.0 percent).

Fri Mar 29 201323:02Bass grabs just two rebounds vs. Atlanta
Brandon Bass scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes on Friday against the Hawks.
If not for the three blocks it was the type of outing that could get Bass pitched to the wire, and overall he's still just a desperation play at the forward position.

Wed Mar 27 201323:26Brandon Bass scores 22 points in win
Brandon Bass had 22 point and five rebounds on 8-of-14 shooting in 37 minutes of Wednesday's close win over the Cavaliers.
Bass is officially relevant now and hit 6-of-7 free throws tonight. Some more boards and a few blocks would have been nice, but he came in averaging 10 points, seven boards and 1.2 blocks over his previous five games.

Tue Mar 26 201322:20Brandon Bass plays well in ugly loss
Brandon Bass had 11 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in Tuesday's ugly loss to the Knicks.
He's starting, getting heavy minutes with Kevin Garnett out indefinitely, and has played well in eight straight games. If you're desperate for a big man in today's injury climate, Bass might be serviceable enough to use in your league.

Sat Mar 23 201300:22Brandon Bass scores 16 points with 11 boards
Brandon Bass double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, adding three assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes against the Mavericks on Friday.
It could have been a nice performance because it came against his former team, but there's some weight that should come with this outing. Bass is coming off an 11-point, 31- minute game on Wednesday and is worth a look in deeper leagues.
