Fri Mar 25 201114:23Sundiata Gaines out 6-8 weeks w/ hip fracture
Nets guard Sundiata Gaines will be on crutches 6-8 weeks after fracturing his right hip.
This unfortunate injury leaves New Jersey with just Jordan Farmar and Ben Uzoh at point guard, barring a return by Deron Williams (who has been ruled out of the next two games). Gaines is already signed through next season and should be ready to go for training camp.

Fri Mar 25 201112:37Gaines out two games w/ sore hip for NJN
Sundiata Gaines (hip) will not play Friday vs. the Magic, as expected, and will also sit out Saturday's game vs. the Hawks.
Gaines could get heavy minutes at SG and/or backup PG down the stretch, but only if his body allows it -- he is headed to NJ to have his hip checked out by team doctors. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere for help.

Thu Mar 24 201114:08Sundiata Gaines out on Friday
Sundiata Gaines (hip) will not play in Friday's game against the Magic.
Gaines can't catch a break. He was going to start at shooting guard last night, but didn't because D-League callup Ben Uzoh couldn't get to the arena in time. Then he gets hurt after four minutes of action and is sidelined. If you made a speculative add yesterday, feel free to cut bait.

Tue Mar 22 201100:10Gaines scores career-high 18 points for NJ
Recently signed to a two-year deal this week, Sundiata Gaines scored a career-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 24 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Yes, he was in the game late instead of Jordan Farmar at times, and yes, he has taken advantage of the opportunities given to him in the NBA level when nobody believed he had a shot. From a fantasy perspective, however, he's a poor bet to have any real value unless Farmar gets injured.
