Wed Dec 22 201023:06Battie outplays Hawes on Wednesday
Tony Battie had 10 points, six rebounds and four blocks on 5-of-8 shooting Wednesday.
Battie may be being showcased for a trade back to the Magic, or might just be getting run because Spencer Hawes is in a funk. Either way, it's tough to see Battie holding much fantasy value this season, if any.

Tony Battie (flu) returned to action on Tuesday, scoring four points on 2-of-3 shooting with four rebounds, no assists, and no steals or blocks in 13 minutes.
This is a pretty good representation of what he does on most nights, and needless to say he doesn't have any fantasy value.

Fri Nov 5 201023:17Battie plays 26 minutes in loss
Tony Battie shockingly played 26 minutes off the Sixers bench for eight points, seven rebounds, a steal and a block on Friday.
Spencer Hawes played just six minutes, although there were no reports of an injury, so Doug Collins must have just decided to roll with Battie tonight. He has no fantasy value right now, but is certainly worth keeping an eye on if Collins is down on Hawes.

Mon Nov 1 201011:06Tony Battie fighting strained quad
76ers center Tony Battie suffered a quad strain on Saturday and is listed day-to-day.
Suffice to say, the veteran Battie would only surface as a viable fantasy option if injuries felled Spencer Hawes, Elton Brand, and Marreese Speights.

76ers big man Tony Battie (right knee inflammation) did not practice on Friday and is not expected to play in Saturday's exhibition.
Battie is a tough veteran PF who should bring stability and leadership to Philly's second unit. This appears to be precautionary rest and he'll have more preseason game to tune up his game.
