Lee scored a team-high 19 points (8-of-11 FG, 3-of-5 FT) with four rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot in Thursday night's loss to the Cavaliers.
Lee's role off the bench this season has hurt his fantasy value, but he has been in double-digit scoring or rebounding the past four games. His defense will hurt his chances for greater minutes, but he brings an offensive element to the inside the Warriors lack otherwise. As such, he'll have his moments.

Lee had five points (2-6 FG, 1-2 FT) with 10 rebounds in 18 minutes in the win over Washington on Tuesday.
Lee has grabbed 22 boards in his last two games. He has not played more than 19 in his last five games, but appears to have found his role as a rebounder off the bench for the Warriors. Lee can be a one-category helper in deeper leagues.

Lee scored 10 points with 10 rebounds in 22 minutes in Saturday's win over the Knicks. The double-double was just his first of the season.
It's hard to fathom that Lee is just now getting his first double-double, but since he's lost his starting assignment to Draymond Green, Lee's playing time doesn't lend itself to that particular feat. He entered Saturday's game having playing a combined 19 minutes in the two previous games.
Sat Feb 7 201509:45Lee played just 13 minutes in Friday night's loss to Hawks
Lee played just 13 minutes in Friday night's loss to the Hawks. He had four points and four rebounds with a minus-11 while on the court.
The minus-11 is the reason Lee didn't get much playing time. The Hawks exploited him on defense, forcing head coach Steve Kerr to keep tacked to the bench. In the last two games, Lee has played a total of 19 minutes.

Lee played just six minutes in Wednesday night's win over the Mavericks. He scored two points with one rebound and two assists in the win.
There was no injury to Lee, who averages 20 minutes per game and averaged 25 per in the previous four. It looks as if head coach Steve Kerr rolled with a smaller lineup after Golden State fell behind by double digits in the first quarter. And as the lineup worked so well -- the Warriors turned a 17-point deficit into a 14-point win -- Lee was not much on the night. Unless news about an injury is made public, consider this a one-game anomaly.

Lee scored a season-high 24 points (10-of-17 FG, 4-of-4 FT) with nine rebounds and six assists in a season-high 30 minutes in Tuesday night's loss to the Bulls. He got a chance for more playing time when Andrew Bogut (flu) was scratched just before tip-off.
There's a good chance Bogut returns for the Warriors' next game Friday night at Utah, so Lee's scoring outburst may be a short-lived thing. Coming off the bench has certainly impacted Lee's scoring production -- this was his ninth double-digit scoring effort in 19 games and he sits right at 10.0 points per game -- but the big man is averaging nine boards per game in the last six.

Lee scored 18 points (8-of-13 FG, 2-of-5 FT) with eight rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in 25 minutes in Saturday night's 131-106 win over the Rockets.
This was Lee's most significant contribution to any game this season as the points, field-goal attempts, rebounds and playing time were season highs or tied season highs. The blowout win contributed to his opportunities, but the power forward who missed a quarter of the season with a hamstring injury, is getting his game in order. Lee has averaged 24 minutes per game over the past four.

Lee scored eight points with five rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench in Friday night's win over the Cavaliers. In 10 games this season, he's averaging 9.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game.
This was the second straight game Lee's been under 20 minutes of playing time. His production is fine for someone averaging 18 minutes per game -- the lowest average since Lee's rookie season -- but it's certainly not what fantasy owners expected when bidding on or selecting Lee in the preseason.

Lee came off the bench for 23 minutes against the Raptors on Friday and registered 12 points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks.
Lee is expected to come off the bench moving forward and Friday's outing was likely what should be expected from the relegated power forward at this point in the season. There's always the chance that coach Steve Kerr could move Lee into the starting lineup at some point in the future, although Draymond Green has played very well and certainly deserves to start over Lee.
Thu Jan 1 201512:34Lee will remain backup power forward to Draymond Green
Lee will remain the backup power forward to Draymond Green, according to head coach Steve Kerr, CSN Bay Area reports. "With David, I wasn't planning on bringing him off the bench," Kerr said. "But he got hurt. He had a great preseason. He was going to be the starting (power forward). He got hurt. I put Draymond out there. Draymond took the job."
Kerr is confirming what has been presumed for weeks. Lee, who played just seven minutes through the first quarter of the season due to a hamstring injury, is no longer on a minutes restriction but will be coming off the bench for the forseeable future. He could potentially slide over to start at center on some nights while Andrew Bogut (knee) and Festus Ezeli (ankle) are out indefinitely.
Wed Dec 31 201414:31Lee no longer on minutes restriction
Lee is no longer on a minutes restriction, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lee has gradually increased his workload since returning to the court on Dec. 22. He played fewer than 20 minutes in each of his first four games but finally broke the 20 minute threshold Tuesday against the Sixers, scoring 13 points in 25 minutes. With the restriction now lifted, Lee will likely play between 20 and 30 minutes off the bench per night.

Lee played a season-high 25 minutes in Tuesday night's 126-86 win over the 76ers. He scored 13 points (5-of-9 FG, 3-of-4 FT) with four rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots in the win.
Lee is still rounding into shape and was able to take advantage of Tuesday's glorified scrimmage to extend himself a bit. He's reached double-digit scoring in four straight games.

Lee scored 10 points (3-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks during Saturday's win over the Timberwolves.
Lee continues to be on a minutes restriction, but has managed to score in double digits in three straight games. He remains behind Draymond Green in the rotation, but has a shot to pick up some minutes at center should Andrew Bogut continue to miss games due to injury. Lee is a back-end option with upside in most leagues until he's given more minutes.

Lee scored 11 points with three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes in Thursday night's loss to the Clippers.
The playing time was the most in the three games since Lee returned from a hamstring injury. The Warriors are dealing with injuries to Andrew Bogut (knee) and Festus Ezeli (ankle), so the opportunity is there for Lee to grow into a larger share of playing time.
Wed Dec 24 201401:08Lee contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, and ...
Lee contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, and a steal in 18 minutes coming off the bench Tuesday night against the Lakers.
Lee was expected to play between 12 and 15 minutes Tuesday night, but slightly eclipsed that number with 18 minutes on the floor against the Lakers. In his two games since returning from injury, Lee has 18 points and 14 rebounds total in 34 minutes played. It looks as though he'll continue to be eased into more playing time, but his play in this limited sample size is encouraging.
Tue Dec 23 201421:22David Lee: Will Play 12-15 Minutes Tuesday
Lee (hamstring) is only expected to play 12-15 minutes against the Lakers on Tuesday, The San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lee is working his way back from a significant left hamstring injury and will just be getting his toes wet before coach Steve Kerr allows him to play a full compliment of minutes. On top of that, the Warriors have been arguably the best team in basketball this season which is just another reason why there's no reason to rush Lee back onto the court and potentially risk further injury.

Lee (hamstring) returned to action in Monday night's win over the Kings. He scored six points with seven rebounds and one blocked shot in 16 minutes off the bench.
Lee had appeared in one game this season, playing seven minutes way back in the fourth game, but aggravated his hamstring injury. We suspect his playing time will bump up in the coming games, though whether he enters the starting lineup is unclear. One thing that is clear is that Lee's return should help bolster the center position where Golden State is dealing with the iffy status of Andrew Bogut (knee).
Mon Dec 22 201421:55David Lee: (Hamstring) Active Monday
Lee (hamstring) is active for Monday's contest against the Kings.
Slated to make his first appearance since Nov. 5, Lee will come off the bench behind a starting frontcourt of Draymond Green and Festus Ezeli. In his initial appearances, Lee's workload will be watched closely, and don't expect a return to the starting lineup anytime soon due to the Warriors' 22-3 start to the season.

Lee (hamstring) went through a full practice Sunday and is expected to play Monday against the Kings, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Barring a setback, it appears as though Lee will return to the court for the first time since Nov. 5. Coach Steve Kerr indicated that Lee's minutes will be monitored initially, and the forward will likely come off of the bench for the foreseeable future. Lee could return to the starting lineup at some point down the road, but after jumping out to a 22-3 start, the Warriors aren't likely to tinker with their starting five right away.
Sat Dec 20 201419:02Lee (hamstring) returned to practice Saturday
Lee (hamstring) returned to practice Saturday, CSNBayArea.com reports.
Coach Steve Kerr said Lee practiced without limitation but added that he will monitor Lee's minutes closely following a month-and-a-half layoff. With Andrew Bogut (knee) expected to miss a couple weeks, Lee may be tasked with the role of high-post initiator on offense, perhaps starting Monday against Sacramento.
