Stephenson (pelvis) did not travel with the team on its two-game road trip to Orlando and Boston.
This comes as no surprise, because while Stephenson was able to participate in a few drills in practice this week, he was still unable to make any change-of-direction moves as of Tuesday. A timetable for Stephenson's return has not been provided by the team.

Stephenson (pelvis) participated in a few drills at Tuesday's practice but does not appear close to returning to game action, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Stephenson, who has already missed seven games with a pelvic sprain, is still unable to do any change-of-direction moves, so it's unlikely he's back on the floor anytime soon. The team hasn't provided a timetable, so continue to check back on Stephenson's progress on a game-to-game basis. Charlotte takes on the Rockets in Houston on Wednesday before returning home to host the Cavaliers on Friday.

Stephenson (pelvis) likely won't be available for Wednesday's game in Houston, the Charlotte Observer reports.
On Saturday evening, the Hornets ruled out Stephenson for games Monday and Wednesday, but a DNP in the latter was seemingly not a certainty. Nevertheless, his next opportunity to take the floor will arrive Friday against the Cavaliers, which should be confirmed, one way or the other, as the week continues. In his place, Gerald Henderson will continue to man shooting guard in the starting lineup.

Stephenson (pelvis) has been ruled out for the Hornets' next two upcoming games, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
This is the second time Stephenson has been ruled out for multiple games at a time with this injury, and indicates that he will more than likely need even more than these two games to recover. While there's hope he could return earlier, expect Stephenson to sit about a week before he gets back on the court for games.

Stephenson (pelvis), who will not play Friday, has also been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Thunder, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Coach Steve Clifford said Stephenson is just getting to the point were he's able to shoot a basketball and he's yet to return to any sort of full speed work. The guard could play Monday in Milwaukee, but even that seems like a stretch. Clifford indicated Monday would be "the very earliest" Stephenson could come back, but with the Hornets' hectic schedule preventing them from practicing in full until Tuesday, it seems unlikely Stephenson plays without having a practice under his belt.
Wed Dec 24 201418:20Lance Stephenson: (Pelvis) Won't Play Friday
Stephenson (pelvis) will not play Friday against the Thunder.
It will be the fifth consecutive game that Stephenson will miss due to the injury. The Hornets' decision to rule the guard out this far in advance suggests that he's unlikely to play Saturday against Orlando, though his status for that game could still be revisited. Stephenson's first season in Charlotte has been a disappointing one, as the big-ticket free-agent signing has seen a drop in both playing time and scoring, with the latter primarily due to an ugly 38.6 percent shooting mark from the field.

Stephenson (groin) will not play Monday versus Denver, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
As expected, Stephenson will remain out for the third straight game as he nurses a groin injury, which the team is calling a "pelvic sprain." He's expected to remain out until after Christmas, which rules him out for Tuesday's matchup with the Bucks.

Stephenson (groin) is expected to remain out until after Christmas.
The groin injury will cost Stephenson a second straight game Saturday and it sounds like he'll miss at least the Hornets' first two games of next week as well. Look for Gary Neal and Gerald Henderson to continue seeing increased run in Stephenson's absence.
Fri Dec 19 201411:26Stephenson (groin) expected to miss Saturday's game against Utah
Stephenson (groin) is expected to miss Saturday's game against Utah.
Stephenson has already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Sixers, and now he will likely sit both games of this back-to-back. Aside from this injury, Stephenson has struggled to produce the fantasy numbers owners were hoping for when they drafted him, which is part of the reason trade rumors involving Stephenson have cropped up recently. It's possible that a trade could help his fantasy situation significantly, but he will need to recover from this injury and play well before any trade can occur.
Thu Dec 18 201421:52Lance Stephenson: (Groin) Out Friday
Stephenson (groin) will miss Friday's game against the Sixers.
Stephenson didn't practice Thursday, and is expected to miss both Friday and Saturday's contest. He has now been confirmed out for Friday, and he will receive an update on his status at some point before Saturday's game as well. If he's unable to go, Gerald Henderson and Gary Neal both would be candidates for added minutes.

Stephenson (groin) did not practice Thursday and is likely to miss the Hornets' next two games, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Stephenson departed Wednesday's contest in the third quarter with a groin injury, briefly returning in the fourth quarter before retiring to the locker room. The team is calling the injury a "pelvic sprain," and Stephenson appears to be in considerable pain, so it would be a surprise if he's able to play Friday and Saturday. That could mean increased minutes for both Gerald Henderson and Gary Neal.

Stephenson injured his groin during the third quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Suns, returning briefly in the fourth quarter before heading to the locker room for good.
He finished with just seven points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3P, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes. Stephenson's first season in Charlotte has been a very disappointing one, and an injury won't improve matters.

Stephenson scored eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt) to go along with seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes during the Hornets' 113-107 loss versus the Grizzlies on Friday.
He didn't have an awful night, but Hornets coach Steve Clifford opted to ride with Gary Neal and Gerald Henderson down the stretch of this double overtime affair. The only thing that's been consistent about Stephenson this season is his inconsistencies, and several teams have reportedly contacted the 6-16 Hornets in regards to his availability via trade.

Stephenson played in 37 minutes Friday against the Warriors, after being partially benched for the second half of Monday's game, scoring 11 points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and picking up eight assists.
On Monday, Stephenson played only seven minutes in the second half, with coach Steve Clifford citing the desire to have more ball movement on offense. Clifford seems to have greater confidence in Stephenson now, allowing him to trail only Kemba Walker (43) in minutes. Stephenson also threw the in-bounds pass on the Hornets' final possession of the game, that could have pulled them to within two of the Warriors with five seconds left. Owners will want to continue to monitor Clifford and Stephenson's relationship, but for now, his playing time seems to have steadied out.

Stephenson played just seven minutes in the second half of Monday's game, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Coach Steve Clifford said he sat Stephenson because he wanted more ball movement, implying that he considers Stephenson someone who makes the ball stick and the offense sputter. This could go two ways. Lancelot could get the message and start playing within the system, or Clifford could continue to use Stephenson in a reduced role. While nothing has been said to suggest it will happen, there's a possibility the Hornets could go back to Gerald Henderson at shooting guard and decide to use Stephenson in a sixth man role. The Hornets have struggled this season, and a change to their lineup seems like the only thing left for them to try.

Stephenson made just four of his 12 shots in his first game back in Indiana on Wednesday, scoring 10 points in the loss.
This was Stephenson's first game against the Pacers since signing with the Hornets this offseason. Stephenson's Hornets allowed the Pacers to come back, after trailing by as much as 18 in the first half. Despite the loss, Stephenson helped fantasy owners by grabbing eight rebounds and picking up seven assists in addition to blocking two shots.

Stephenson played 25 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday and finished with 19 points.
Stephenson has started to find some offensive output the past few games, as he seemed to struggle early in the season. He's a combined 12-for-22 from the field in the past two games, scoring 29 points in a total of 63 minutes. He seems to be clear of the groin injury he aggravated early last week, so he should be full systems go for Monday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Despite not recording a rebound in their previous game, also look for Stephenson to consistently grab rebounds, as he's now averaging 9.5 on the year.

Stephenson (groin) will start Saturday night against the Warriors, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
Stephenson was able to start Friday night and will do the same again Saturday. He is safe to deploy.

Stephenson (groin) is considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Warriors, Steve Martin of the Hornets' official site reports.
The Hornets have four players listed as questionable, with Stephenson joined by Kemba Walker, Gary Neal and Marvin Williams. All four played in Friday's game, and they all seem like good bets to play again Saturday. Still, it'll be worth keeping an eye on, especially in the cases of Stephenson and Williams, both of whom recently missed games.
Sat Nov 15 201410:32Lance Stephenson: (Groin) Shakes Off Injury Friday
Stephenson (groin) managed to play 38 minutes Friday against the Suns and tallied 13 points (5-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.
It was announced shortly before tipoff that Stephenson would play Friday despite suffering a previously unannounced groin strain earlier in the week. While that seems concerning at first glance, the fact that he was able to play 38 minutes and contribute in all categories is a good indication that he'll be in the clear moving forward.
