Mon Dec 16 201323:52Teletovic scores 11 points with two threes
Mirza Teletovic started at power forward with Brook Lopez (ankle) out on Monday, and scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting with two threes, five boards and one steal in 26 minutes.
There are a lot of impediments to Teletovic's fantasy value, but in the current roster configuration he'll be worth a look in spot action while Lopez is out.

Mon Dec 16 201318:10Mirza Teletovic is starting on Monday
Mirza Teletovic is start at power forward for the Nets on Monday against the Sixers.
There are a lot of different reasons for the Nets to do this move. Teletovic has been involved in trade rumors and he's coming off a 17-point game on Friday, and they also could want to do this as a matchup against the up-tempo Sixers. He will likely play less minutes than Andray Blatche, but he's a decent speculative add in the starting lineup based on his five 3-pointers from Friday.

Sun Dec 15 201311:50Mirza Teletovic out Sunday w/ illness
Mirza Teletovic sat out Sunday's practice due to an illness.
Joe Johnson was also out and it seems a cold or flu is going around the Nets locker room. Teletovic is coming off a stellar 17-point performance in 24 minutes vs. the Pistons, including 5-of-6 shooting from downtown. He could be a reliable source of 3-pointers if he were to get steady playing time but that hasn't happened yet, and Andrei Kirilenko's possible return later this month presents another threat to Teletovic's bench role.

Thu Dec 5 201322:00Mirza Teletovic plays 29 minutes
Mirza Teletovic played 29 minutes off the bench during an ugly 113-83 home loss to the Knicks on Thursday, scoring six points with eight boards and two 3-pointers.
The Nets are giving him some minutes with Paul Pierce out of the lineup. Teletovic, Alan Anderson and Tornike Shengelia could have some shred of value in deeper leagues, but the inconsistency is likely to make them more trouble than their worth. Anderson had eight points and two boards in 31 minutes while Shengelia had three points in 13 minutes.

Tue Dec 3 201323:19Mirza Teletovic struggles with hand injury
Mirza Teletovic sprained his left hand on Tuesday and X-rays were negative, but he finished Tuesday's loss with zero points on 0-of-4 shooting in 14 minutes.
It sounds like he avoided a catastrophe and we expect him to have some nice games while Paul Pierce is out with his own hand injury for the next couple weeks. But as long as Alan Anderson is starting and Teletovic is coming off the bench, he's a very risky option in any sized fantasy league. Especially if his injury is worse than it initially appears to be.

Tue Dec 3 201320:21Mirza Teletovic hurts hand
Mirza Teletovic suffered a sprained left hand on Tuesday and X-rays were negative.
He was grimacing as he jogged back to the locker room. Teletovic has been part of the solution to filling the void left by Paul Pierce not playing, but doesn't have a concrete role with the team right now. His return is probable.

Tue Dec 3 201309:25Mirza Teletovic to seek trade from Nets?
Mirza Teletovic is considering asking the Nets to trade him to another NBA team.
Teletovic is reportedly unhappy with the opportunity he's received in Brooklyn, but there are conflicting reports as to whether he's made a trade request. His European manager said, "We will try in a quiet and civilized way to agree with the club and to come to a trade in the next month or two where he will get more playing time." Teletovic, however, has an NBA agent, so it's unclear whether or not this request has any legs. Regardless of the trade request situation, the 28-year-old hasn't seen many non-garbage time minutes this season and doesn't need to be of concern to fantasy owners.

Sat Nov 30 201303:52Teletovic grabs career-high 13 rebounds
Mirza Teletovic grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds in Friday's blowout loss, and also added 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting with three treys and two steals.
Teletovic is a garbage-time machine with no conscience shooting the ball and plenty of girth to clean up the glass when the whistles have been put away. In other words, he has no real fantasy value and we'd much rather keep our eye on Mason Plumlee, who also took advantage of garbage time with 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and one block. While we're at it, we'll add Tyshawn Taylor and his 16 and 12 to this list. None of them warrant a pickup.

Thu Aug 1 201320:35Mirza Teletovic begins training for FIBA
Mirza Teletovic began training Thursday for Bosnia for FIBA and his coach said he was in good shape.
He had to wait because the NBA only allows 35 days for players to train for FIBA. Teletovic wasn't much of a factor in his rookie season with the Nets and had to deny rumors of his displeasure, and his minutes aren't likely going to see an uptick with the Nets adding loads of depth this offseason. He's not on the fantasy radar.

Tue Jul 23 201310:40Teletovic eager to earn bigger role w/ Nets
Mirza Teletovic denied recent rumors that he is eager to leave the Nets and return to Europe.
"I followed my dreams and went to the NBA," said Teletovic, who was disappointed with his limited role in Brooklyn. "Last season was the way it is, but I have everything to motivate me and prove to all what I can [do]." With Paul Pierce, Andrei Kirilenko and Kevin Garnett added to the Nets' star-studded roster, it won't be easy for Teletovic to play more than last season's nine minutes per game.

Mon Apr 15 201322:52Mirza Teletovic scores career-high 14 points
Mirza Teletovic matched his career high with 14 points on Monday, adding five boards, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.
This was his biggest chance to show what he could do and he was solid, shooting 5-of-10 form the field. He is a decent shooter, but he's not likely to be a major contributor in the NBA with his sub-par defense.

Thu Apr 4 201309:07Mirza Teletovic not going to return to Europe
Mirza Teletovic has no interest in returning to Europe to play basketball.
"No," he said. "Never going to happen. I'm going to prove some stuff." Teletovic got his shot in the rotation but was a non-factor, and now he plays spot minutes on occasion. He has an intriguing skill set, but Teletovic has a lot to learn about the NBA game.

Fri Mar 1 201312:35Carlesimo to make Mirza Teletovic priority?
P.J. Carlesimo said that he'll make Mirza Teletovic a "priority" moving forward.
Apparently the coach sees Teletovic as a mismatch at both ends of the floor, and he'll use the remaining games to evaluate Teletovic before settling on a rotation. The first-year player will have an opportunity to prove he deserves consistent minutes.

Mirza Teletovic said recently that he has to "find the fun in basketball again."
"Not think about it too much, and just have fun," he said. Teletovic is still working to adjust to the NBA, but inconsistent playing time hasn't helped him. Teletovic can shoot it, but he'll need a consistent role in the rotation to hold any sort of fantasy value.
