Justin Sellers (chin) has been cleared by Dodgers doctors to return to Cactus League play.
Sellers was checked for a concussion after taking a batted ball off his chin during Saturday's game against the Athletics and apparently passed the necessary tests. He's likely to open the 2012 season in Triple-A.

Mon Jan 9 201220:11Justin Sellers recovering from groin injury
Justin Sellers suffered a serious groin pull while playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic.
Sellers still isn't back to 100 percent, but was turning double plays Monday with shortstop Dee Gordon during the Dodgers' winter development camp. The 25-year-old batted .203/.283/.301 over 139 plate appearances with the big club last season and will likely begin 2012 at the Triple-A level.

Wed Aug 24 201100:10Justin Sellers has big night against Cards
Justin Sellers went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Los Angeles' 13-2 rout of the Cardinals on Tuesday.
The big night ups his average from .222 to .268. Doing a little bit of everything since joining the Dodgers on August 12, you could do worse than Sellers for a flier in NL-only leagues.

Sun Aug 21 201119:51Sellers continues to get playing time
Justin Sellers has started nine of the Dodgers' last 10 games.
We initially thought that Sellers wouldn't get enough at-bats to be viable in fantasy leagues, but he's playing almost every day with Dee Gordon (shoulder) sidelined. Sellers is hitting .222 with seven runs scored, four RBI and one steal in his first 10 big league games.

Sun Aug 14 201119:42Sellers hits first career homer
Justin Sellers hit his first career major league homer in Sunday's win over the Astros.
Sellers, who is on the roster in place of Dee Gordon (shoulder), took Jordan Lyles deep with two men on in the sixth inning. However, the utility man is not expected to see enough at-bats to make an impact in fantasy formats.

Fri Aug 12 201118:02Dodgers call up INF Justin Sellers
Dodgers recalled INF-OF Justin Sellers from Triple-A Albuquerque.
As expected, he'll take the place of the injured Dee Gordon (shoulder) on the active roster. Sellers, 25, was batting .304 with 14 homers and 49 RBI with Triple-A Albuquerque this season, but is a career .268/.356/.390 hitter in the minor leagues. He is capable of playing the infield and outfield, so he'll give Don Mattingly some flexibility off the bench. We're not expecting much in fantasy leagues, though.

Thu Aug 11 201112:35Dodgers expected to promote Sellers
The Dodgers are expected to call up Justin Sellers prior to Friday's game.
He will take the place of the injured Dee Gordon (shoulder) on the active roster. Sellers, 25, is batting .304/.400/.537 with 14 homers and 49 RBI over 322 plate appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque this season in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. He has primarily played shortstop in the minors, but has seen time this season at second base, third and even in the outfield. Not considered a top prospect, the 2005 sixth-round pick profiles best as a utility man in the long-term.
