Alex Gonzalez singled in four at-bats on Wednesday, snapping an 0-for-19 slump.
Gonzalez is still scuffling to the tune of 4-for-43 (.093) in his last 12 games. As a result, his batting line is down to a poor .240/.274/.363.

Tue May 24 201121:52Alex Gonzalez gets three hits, scores run
Alex Gonzalez had three hits and scored a run in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.
The Braves weren't able to scratch out much against Charlie Morton, but they did enough to get the win, and Gonzalez was the offensive star as the only one with a multi-hit game. He's batting .409 over his last six games.

Tue May 10 201116:07Gonzalez (groin) out of Braves' lineup Tue.
Alex Gonzalez (groin) is out of the Braves' starting lineup again Tuesday.
Gonzalez hasn't played since leaving Sunday's game with a slight strain in his left groin. He's hopeful that he can return to the starting lineup in the next day or two. Diory Hernandez will make the start at shortstop Tuesday against the Nationals and will bat fifth against right-hander Jason Marquis.

Alex Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI in the Braves win over the Brewers on Monday.
Gonzalez now has five RBI in his past two games, bringing his season total from eight to 13. He is hitting just .241, but that number is actually only seven points below his career average of .248.

Sun May 1 201117:20Alex Gonzalez homers, scores winning run
Alex Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Atlanta's win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
He also scored the winning run in the ninth inning after reaching on an error (Ryan Theriot dropped a routine pop-up). Gonzalez has now gone deep four times in his first 29 games this season, and has a good shot at posting his second straight, and third career, 20-homer campaign.

Wed Apr 27 201101:56Gonzalez contributes to victory
Alex Gonzalez earned his second two-hit game in as many days on Tuesday, as the Braves beat the Padres 8-2.
Gonzalez added a run and two RBI, giving him 11 runs and eight RBI on the year. Do not expect him to repeat last season's impressive stat line, but there are worse options than an everyday veteran shortstop with some pop.

Sat Apr 16 201119:02Gonzalez homers twice in win over Mets
Alex Gonzalez hit two solo homers in a 4-2 win over the Mets in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.
It was the ninth multi-homer game of his career. Gonzalez has hit 26 home runs since the start of the 2010, trailing only Troy Tulowitzki among MLB shortstops. That being said, we're not banking on another 20-homer season, so he can mostly be ignored in mixed formats. Chipper Jones and Freddie Freeman also went deep in the win.
